- Rose Lavelle's first goal with the USWNT was in 2018 during the game US vs Trinidad. Rose Lavelle's talent was presented to the world during the Women World cup where she was brilliant. Her skills and goals before the world cup and after the world cup testify that she will be the next big thing for the uswnt. She participated in her first World Cup at the age of 24.

Dribbles better than many of her men counterparts. And though not as strong as some of her teammates, her shoots to the goal seem unstoppable, extremely versatile, and volatile. She's clearly The nightmare of any defense.
Her skill on the ball is some of the best the USWNT has seen in a while. Also her field awareness and positioning off the ball is amazing too. ALSO she does not give up and will chase a player down if she loses the ball
She's not the best USWNT player ever, but I can't think of any USWNT player in history that comes anywhere close to her ball skills.
@@Kevin-bt4wb this is subjective, but to me no American player has ever had such a memorable style. Her touch on the ball is virtuoso. I'd pay to see that. I'd pay to see the USWT as a whole but Lavelle is the only individual who I'd go out of my way to go see. She doesn't have the stats, but she has the style.

@@Kevin-bt4wb I'm not any sort of authority on soccer, but to my eye, she's the only American player I've ever seen, man or woman, who has the skills to be transcendent. So I completely agree with you. But again, I'm not a soccer expert. However, I have both played and watched a lot of sports and to my eye, she stands out. The way she can keep the ball at her feet at speed while looking upfield is, yes, like Lionel Messi and a few other historically great players, none of them American. She can't finish like Messi, but her touch is so silky and her movements are so abrupt, yet graceful. She's gotta present a lot of problems for opposing coaches. How do you game plan for that?

Highway robbery at the 2019 WC when she didn't win the Golden Ball. She was by far the best all around player for our USWNT. That goal she scored against the Netherlands in the Final was special.
