If it's right outside of Flagstaff, I'm sure we stopped there in the 60s -70s either to eat or shop while traveling. I'm surprised nobody's reclaimed all the stainless steel of the stove, cabinets, etc.
Thanks for the sub! It was really sad to see all the damage and graffiti at such an iconic place. At least it was still recognizable, and this was still an amazing piece of history that I was glad to experience!
Wow, already 5 years ago. It looked a lot different back then compared to now doesn't it? It's sad how vandals are destroying this place even more as the years go on. I'm glad you like the video, thanks for watching! And thank you for the congrats! You're almost there too!
Back in 1995 my sister and I stopped at the trading post when it was still in operation. If you want to see what the interior and exterior looked like 27 years ago, take a look at the brief video footage I captured back then. ua-cam.com/video/1o3cDkDgJ3I/v-deo.html
I know, it's so sad and disgusting what people do. This place was in relatively good shape up until a short time ago when people came in and just graffitied over everything, including the iconic "Twin Arrows Trading Post" letters that were painted on the building. I don't understand how someone could do that to one of the defining characteristic of such a historic and iconic place.

I passed by this spot many times traveling over the years. Awesome to see more than the road front side 😂Thanks for sharing.
Glad I was able to give you an inside look after all of this time! Thanks for watching!
Stopped there in 1976 on my 1965 Harley headed to East Texas.
sweet little spot, so many cool spots on route 66
Can't wait to find more!

Been by there many a time
Too bad a developer or someone doesn't buy up these places and get them fixed to where they're operational again

@@ForgottenUSA Once that casino went in they let it go to hell .They had a RT 66 club that saved it but gangs destroyed it .
@@williamzander4732 Unbelievable. So sad. That's exactly why I document these historic places before they're gone or destroyed beyond repair.
@@ForgottenUSA The state should of put a giant fence around it and declared it a national
Monument .They could of moved it buy the casino .Greed .
why does this new generation have to destroy everything?
