- Nina Elisabet Persson is the lead singer and lyricist for the Swedish pop group The Cardigans. She has also worked as a solo artist, releasing two albums as A Camp and appearing on the tribute album to Serge Gainsbourg titled Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited. She has also worked with rock group Sparklehorse

I just love Nina. She is my favourite female singer. Her voice is beautiful, she is extremely charming and she is apparently also a really nice person.
The Cardigans are one of my favorite bands, but they've always been so mysterious to me because back when I got into them we didn't have social media and all that. I recently decided to start listening to all of their music and was like, "Let me find an interview. Who are these geniuses!?" Of course she's so cool she just accidentally became one of the best rock stars ever. She seems so smart, sensible and nice. Beautiful, talented woman. Love her.
She is all that, for sure. Can’t really say that I know her, but we toured the same summer festivals when they first starting touring their debut album in Sweden. It’s hard to believe now, but she was initially painfully shy about fronting that band: She sang so quietly that her mic would frequently go into feedback, when the sound engineer compensated with increased gain. Nothing about their live shows - (except perhaps how breathtakingly cute she was, and of course how good their debut album was) - foreshadowed what would come. Kind of adorable on the one hand, but also very telling, how success can make an artist grow on a scale that once seemed completely out of reach. (Of course you need talent to begin with).

Woman was a pioneer in Pop Alternative. And as a musician, Christ I love listening to their stuff and trying to figure out their guitar parts. The Cardigans as a whole were an incredible, underestimated band.
Nina, Dolores and Gwen are my favorites female lead vocalist in the 90's and early 2000's.

Awesome! , Nina was really open and honest, huge fan of The Cardigans and i miss the guitars from back then in her newer stuff but it was interesting to hear her talk about it and i like that they still talk/play togheter.

Nina Persson is my absolute favorite singer songwriter IN THE WORLD EVER because she's REALLY REALLY REALLY TALENTED AND AMAZING and i REALLY REALLY LOVE all the songs that she has written for The Cardigans, A Camp and her own solo album Animal Heart and all the other songs that Nina has written just because it's THE BEST MUSIC EVER MADE IN THE WORLD and Nina has had a very very very SUCCESSFUL music career because everything she has done has been REALLY REALLY BEAUTIFUL about her songs.
And maybe it sounds a bit weird but i was 3 years old in 1996 the first time i heard The Cardigans with Lovefool and Nina's WONDERFUL voice and i was blown away because Nina has a REALLY REALLY REALLY BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE voice and i've been a very very very HUGE fan of her all the time since 1996 and The Cardigans and Nina Persson has really really defined my childhood with their music because Lovefool, My Favorite Game, Erase/Rewind, and Burning Down The House with Tom Jones was played on the radio all the time in the 90's and the AWESOME music videos for those songs was shown on MTV almost every day in the late 90's. And My Favorite Game was also featured on my first racing game that i had on Playstation 1 on the racing game called Gran Turismo 2.
And that's the reason why The Cardigans is my absolute favorite rock band of all times today and i REALLY REALLY LOVE The Cardigans and all their music and all their albums and I REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVE Nina Persson.
And it's no other female singer that can be compared to Nina Persson AT ALL because Nina has a REALLY REALLY REALLY BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE voice that i REALLY REALLY LOVE and i just can't get enough of Nina because she's AMAZING she has a really really great personality and she has a really really good sence of humor and she's a natural beauty and she hasn't aged at all since the 90's because she still looks young and beautiful and she has always been a REALLY REALLY BEAUTIFUL girl in the 90's and she's still a REALLY REALLY BEAUTIFUL woman now in her 40's.
And i really hope that The Cardigans and Nina Persson would release more BEAUTIFUL albums in the future because all their albums has always been REALLY REALLY BEAUTIFUL and a The Cardigans album can't be bad at all because all their songs is a true work of art and everything is perfect about their songs because they really really knows how to make REAL MUSIC.

Awesome Interview ,,,oddly enogh I 1st heard her music on TCM Remembers ,,this Dec ...as a 62 yr old raised in the 60's and 70's on The Beatles and Stones I found her very refreshing down to earth and naturally Attractive. I had no idea people could survive that kind of cancer ,,,I havn't had the chance to dive into her solo work yet but The Cardigans stuff is quite cool,,

I'm imagining her singing a cover of the Beatles song and your bird can sing done in her voice range and speed sounding so good acoustic of course with synthesizers. I can actually hear her doing that song in her personal style and pulling it off with pitch perfection.
