Diana Ross LIP SYNC???

- I love Diana Ross and have been a fan of hers since I was a child (I'm no longer a child).
The microphone is nowhere near her mouth and she even sings into the empty microphone stand!
Will someone please explain how she isn't faking it?

I was there. She is a living legend. It was a fantastic concert.
As I said before, I've been a fan of hers for a long time.
Do you think that she was lip synching to that song?
At worst she was singing with a backing track, which many do. Aerosmith has been doing it for decades, it's a very long list. There are many points in the live videos that she's very clearly live singing and ad libbing within songs. It's a live mic. @@biggringo5279
What's happening is she forgot the microphone wasn't clipped into the microphone stand and she forgets she's still singing into where it isn't located. Usually she sings live however here it is a recorded vocal. I've heard Diana give fantastic live vocals at 79 and she still has her voice and it's in excellent shape - I think during this concert she was needing to rest her voice, this happens and professional singers have to take rest or else the voice suffers as a result. She's simply trying to take care of her voice and let's remember to note she's going to be 80 in a month and we need to appreciate her whilst we still have her.
Well, I saw her last year at radio city music all in NYC. Certain songs were lip synced but a majority was live. I'm coming out was half lipped. Supreme songs were lipped except for Love child which was half lipped. The boss was half lipped. "Thank you' at the end was partially lipped, and a couple others. Reach out and touch, touch me in the morning, Endless Love, Home, Mirror Mirror, Do you know, Aint no mountain high enough, God bless the child, Don't explain, Love Hangover, Take me higher, ease on down the road, I'm still waiting, and I will survive were all live. She was fantastic.

She's definitely lip syncing. I noticed she started doing it the first few shows after covid. I also saw it when I saw her live 2 years ago but not on all songs. She can still sing pretty well in a lower key, but I'd rather hear bad vocals than have her fake it. I am a fan, and it's great she's still active, but I wouldn't pay to hear the same repeated set list lip synced again.

I saw her last year. A 2 hr show and yes some parts are lip sync., but most isn't and she was still amazing. If the younger singers do it so can she.
Unfortunately so. I have suspected that for a while
I'm very disappointed.
Time to retire. Tickets are expensive to watch someone in person, lip singing.
@@Beblessed1025 I agree, it's the same way I feel about Mariah Carey. She hardly sings nowadays and people pay their money just to see her stand on stage looking all nervous and stiff. She should have retired years ago.
I was at the concert, and was taking breaths and talking in between singing. She is the queen ✌️

Yes she lip sings certain parts of her show including the opening, Supremes songs, The Boss, she still sings the jazz standards and closing live but sadly her pristine voice has gotten weaker with age
