    Not gonna lie, that whole delay segment got me shook. One of the first times I've heard the blooper be used in more a structured way. Absolutely incredible.

    Typically not a pedal I see myself using in a live band context, but you still did an awesome job demoing it

      I see this more as a creative tool for writing than something I’d use in a band setting, but it really depends on how your band is set up

      Nathan Brutocao look up the ramping video for the original Warped Vinyl on CBA’s UA-cam. It has the best instruction on ramping imo.

    Nice demo. If you slow down a loop that's already 32s long (max loop time), does it cut the loop at 32s or it can make longer loops? Thanks

    • @collectoremitter
      @collectoremitter  4 роки тому +2

      It will stretch out to be longer, but obviously a lower pitch and slightly lower fidelity

    What happens if you try stepped speed in reverse and smooth speed forwards? Is it like a tug of war or do they cancel each other? Just wondering

    • @collectoremitter

    • @collectoremitter

      Yup, just lower the repeats knob and each repeat will slowly fade out

    so im new to looping and guitar in general, should this go at the end of my pedal chain(after delay and chorus) or at the end of my modulation pedal(section) chain???

    That or the Montreal Assembly’s 856 for Zellersasn? The 856 seems to offer more tweaking options but is probably more difficult to tame. What is your take?

    • @collectoremitter
      @collectoremitter  4 роки тому +1

      I feel like 856 is a deep workstation that's more for experimenting vs Blooper for standard looping and then messing with that loop. But I haven't ever owned an 856 so I'm not an expert on it

    Why the blank layer first?

    • @treyvisqueux7973
      @treyvisqueux7973 4 роки тому +1

      I think that recording a blank layer first makes for a more seamless loop.

    • @collectoremitter
      @collectoremitter  4 роки тому +4

      Yup, like Trey said it’s for a more seamless loop. No matter where I start and end, there won’t be a hard cut

      End is the beginning is the end is the begi...I love it, it allows me to happily throw away the metronomes and groove box slavery for hours on end and just come up with creative parts. Easy enough to chop up and time stretch to taste these days if that becomes necessary. I like that it seems naturally suited to layering random textures and timbres and for the most part if I am thinking musically, it can be morphed into something very musical in different contexts.

    From 13:34. This could be a great "Band of Horses" song. Beautifull.
    That delay thing impress me more than the looper.
    Would like to see someone utilize this with Eurorack. Hopefully Knobs himself will do it at some point.

    Is this a pedal good for just playing live and getting these looped effects - or is it mostly for making loops and patterns for ambient stuff? im not sure if its possible to go around in different chords, without the looping mixing all the chords together, if you wanna play different chord progressions?

    • @collectoremitter
      @collectoremitter  4 роки тому

      I don't fully understand what you mean, but you can definitely use this live either as a normal looper or in the delay setting, and then add in the modifiers

    • @ramencurry6672

    Mood or blooper, and why? in your opinion?

    • @collectoremitter
      @collectoremitter  4 роки тому +2

      Both definitely are great and have their benefits. To me, MOOD is more instant and Blooper is more about looping and then messing with that loop. Obviously they both can do the other thing, but thats their strengths in my opinion

    • @collectoremitter

      There are similar things they can do, but in my opinion it boils down to MOOD being real-time processing vs Blooper being focused on looping and then processing that

    Am I the only one that think it sounds like tinker bell if she got fat and adopted gender pronouns? I mean I guess that's this genre, right? Just weak af? I'll stick with my Greco EGF 1200 knock off LP plugged into my 82 JCM 800, old speakers, old tubes. Nothing to hide behind. No electronics can replace human soul. And I mean looping, I mean, it ceases to be a performance to me. Just want to drop this turd in the punch bowl and be on my way.

    • @unoaotroa

      William Adding effects parallel to a nice dry signal is a great technique if you want to step up. Performance is a very ample word, you know. Life is performance, even being a 'purist' is a performance.
