Excellent, clear and concise information, great guide and much appreciated thanks! Just one question.........Are optimum setup and driver confidence different things? For example, is the fastest set up by lap time the one the driver is 100% confident with, or maybe the fastest lap times are with a setup he's 85% confident with but is optimal. If so, is it better to optimise or get as close to 100% confidence as possible. I do like doing all the practice stuff and fiddling with the sliders so it's enjoyable to me (I know some find it tedious) and I don't want to just search for a chart that shows what the best setups are for each circuit, that would take the unexpected and enjoyment out for me. Cheers!
Never skip the pratice sessions cos your drivers aint learning the track which means they under perform in race day. Also no need to guess setups cos there is a F1 calc haha makes it a ton easier.
Dude.. this is F1... there is an online calculator that will nail your setups.. you have to admit... you are guessing... have you ever encountered a set up where the bands must be outside of the blue bars?...yup you're still guessing.. if you can tell me facts, of set ups other than guessing.. i'll follow you.. but if you're telling me you're guessing... i'll use the online setup calculator.. i still play the game where I guess.. and then I look at science just to improve my guessing... but if you tell me in 2022 in F1 i have to guess. i guess i'll beat you... till you know what you're looking for and can improve your guessing, carry on..

Evening bud, Thank you for this guide will be trying this later 👍

You definetly got lucky with that FP1 confidence. Getting that high after simulating is hard.
I do it every single time.
@@pitlanes how comon is it to get 75+? Its usually quite bad for me around 50-65% for simulating FP1
Probably 65% of the time aiming for the middle
@@pitlanes nice, best of luck!
