IA is hopeless 😣. IAF is becoming sensible gradually. IN is always ahead. ATGMs of all kind, Artilaries of All kinds, AR, Tanks, Armored vehicle all been developed and tested for years after years but not a single big order... I think LUH and LCH order is also struck because of Army. There need a missile force and air defense force which must be separated from Army or army will make that obsolete too. 😢

In case of Tapas as well, Indian military had done benchmarking against an Israeli drone, where Tapas showed it's upper-hand. Now if military will procure Tapas in big number, then only this method of benchmarking will be justified.
They are not setting benchmarks, it's the Israeli lobby. They have found their way into our space and defence industry.
Stryker doesn't have amphibious capabilities, that itself makes it unable to participate in this tender. The RFI clearly said that the Armour vehicle should be amphibious.
If the powers want to import they'll find a way. Their favourite emergency procurement
Stryker has multiple variants, there are some that do have amphibious capabilities. The original variant developed for war on terror to deal with IEDs and mines had no amphibious capabilities because wasn't needed.
@@niweshlekhak9646 nope, no Stryker varients have amphibious capabilities. They do have watertight cabins for flood situation, but they DO not have any water traveling capabilities. Only our WHaP and Kestral have Amphibious capabilities, making it the only one which can win the tender.n
@@rickgolder6818 yeah but the amphibious capability put forward by India is very minimal, basically cross rivers and operate through muddy terrain, and mountains. Stryker has been operating in rivers/snow of Ukraine, Afghanistan, Thailand and Iraq for a while now.
@@niweshlekhak9646 bro read it again. Its not minimal river crossing. Every Armoured vehicle can cross streams, even our Kalyani M4 can cross shallow water ways. But that doesn't mean amphibious. Kestral and WHaP have jet propellers for traveling in rivers, and not only shallow and muddy terrain. Theres a big difference between amphibious and a non amphibious capabilities.
Also Stryker cannot cross any river, there no "basic river crossing". If the river is not shallow stream, and like a normal river, Stryker WILL not be able to transverse that. It just doesn't have those capabilities.

Indian companies already has the capability to build world class armoured vehicles. The Indian Army for some reason is always reluctant to go for indigenous weapons and products!! Import Lobby doing its magic!!

Well nothing new Chandigarh lobby belongs originally to IA , they always interested in buying from foreign vendors and when it comes to indigenous options they set benchmark of alien specialities.If India itself won't purchase its own weapons then how one expect to have success in overseas market exports. Also if this govt gets defeated all will be same same old lobbies will come to Delhi circle and start commission and lobbying game.
TATA casteral or L&Ts armoured vehicle are there and even Mahindra is developing.I don't think there shouldn't be any room for foreign system in this category.

Benchmark ke liye to sirf 5-10 ka sample size order hi kafi hota hai but industry ko viable banane ke naam pe min. 250-300 order kar degi IA.

Govt already had issued that they are projecting to both increasing capex and opex by 25 percent 2025 and they have set and 110 B for 2040 itself for this because you know n opex and capex is set around 3-4 percent in most of the high end countries so they are doing so but we have larger population and foreign direct investment in medical sector of India apart from reasearch isn't much so they have to wait till economy grow atleast for 10 trillion to give it more of push and it's for gov sector only , while still it's a good point but our opposition is busy in caste census and rewriting all bills that this govt has passed, there also many issues that this govt haven't addressed like lack of research infra in India , we aim to produce aircraft inhouse but we don't have any high speed wind tunnel testing facility we are sending equipment back and forth to Russia which is costly , we yet don't have any clear policy for quantum computing , they still haven't updated crucial IT infrastructure of Govt it's still prone to Hacking highly and , they have don't anything for golden triangle which is miles apart from our border in Nagaland and we are not doing anything it's world manufacturing for drugs , also immigration policies and an most important we need our own govt backed media house like cnn , bbc , aljajeera etc for Giving world our views on world Media houses play too curical role in west so why not create one by ourselves till when we will get govt to counter bbc narratives why not give them a competitor

What IA needs is a tracked armoured IFV, not wheeled APC as these designs are already made. The Mahindra one is even our 2nd gen system. We need to replace the BMP2 Soviet design. Wth is IA doing.

This equipment is a failure and has not been inducted in huge numbers. Post Indo US nuclear treaty, the Americans wanted to sell us their cold war era equipment. I was part of first Yudhabhyas, where units of 14 Cav, USA participated. They were keen on selling M1A1 not A2 Abrams, which is in the same class as Arjun and comes with its attendant weight problems in transportation by rail and road. They seemed all high brow from their putative success in Iraq war and Afghanistan campaigns, but it's safe to assume that the mood will be very sullied in the present geo political scenario (they are almost begging Iran and Israel not to open another front). The need is to study the Armenian/Azerbaijan war and present Ukraine/ Russia war to ascertain the impact of drones and other platforms, rather than going for legacy technologies.
No country going to buy your system if your own Army bye fro other country, Indian army want decade long trial for indigenous system but love to buy foreign system by just looking at It,
