I was lucky enough to meet him at this event and thank him for his music, he was extremely soft spoken and such a nice guy. I was so awe struck that i chatted gibberish for the most part but i'm so glad i took the initiative to call his name as he stood in the wings as if i hadn't done so i would have never have gotten another opportunity as sadly he passed shortly after. I wish i had asked for a photo but i'm just thankful i got to meet him.
I was there!!!! :D What a fantastic night. One of my favorite films and favorite scores. I'm glad Horner could be there, even if he wasn't able to conduct.
James attended the 2012 premiere for the 3D re-release of 'Titanic', also @ the RAH. he must have signed two autographs on the red carpet and my poster was one of them. I'll never forget the moment. he was reluctant to do it but whatever convinced him (whether it was me or the poster), I'm humbled to have it.
I LOVE his music for Star Trek II and Star Trek III. Two of his masterpieces, for sure. James Horner knew how to tell a story in music. (Like any good composer.) And in Star Trek he succeeded completely.
Jack Horner was Jewish and was born in Los Angeles in 1953, the son of Joan Ruth (Frankel) and Harry Horner. His father was a set designer and occasional art-directorwho was born in Czechoslovakia, and came to the United States in 1935. Z'l.
May "James First Flight" on a Banshee into the sky last forever as its wingtip wakes drift down from on high to our ears for us to enjoy forever. Fly James Fly.
Avatar 2 needs a big shoulder to support Avatar 3 & 4. I’d like to think way back when Matrix 2 was so overblown to be a vey successful sequel but only to be let down, and when Matrix 3 rolled in it kinda lost its audiences. But I feel J.C. knows what he’s doing when it comes to sequels and the pros and cons of building a franchise, because almost everyone from Disney to Cirque du Soleil are depending on its success.
Completely disagree with the matrix opinion. The 1st one was kinda meh, the 2nd one actually gave the movie life and the 3rd one is what sealed the deal and made the movie a classic.
The world has lost one of it's greatest composers. RIP James Horner.
RIP JAMES HORNER. MUSICAL GENIUS

Lucky you 😁.
John Williams is my favourite film composer... James Horner is my hero and the one I analyse over and over and over...
I just can't believe he's gone :((((
Dylan Burgess nor can I
But his music is immortal

You can tell implicitly that this fellow was such a nice guy.... Wish I could have met him, if only in quick passing.

What an artist you were 💫
3:15 James Horner perfectly describing the MCU.
15:45 "If I last that long" 💔
Right? I about fell off my chair when he said that.
Yea... ❤

If I last that long...Oh my God. Then he died in a plane crash two months later. So sad.
Goosebumps...
Horner was so great. I just watched his 1983 Brainstorm and he nailed the emotions.
Brainstorm was such a beautiful score.
rip 😥
Just listened to Wolf Totem....I can only say:"Welcome Back Mr. Horner!"
“A lot of it will take place on the water,” and now it’s called Avatar: the Way of Water. Mr. Horner definitely told us the truth.
That's so cool!
Such a great loss...Mr. Horner, I hope that you are scoring from Heaven.
He is.

Watching this while knowing he was just two months away from passing gives me a strange feeling.
We love you James Horner! killer soundtracks on 48 hours and another 48 hours! Your work is the Bomb!
For anybody that has not heard Horner's KRULL soundtrack, make sure you do. It is one of the great scores of all time.
Uggghhhhh if only he didn’t own a small plane we would still have him
RIp James horner
Thanks for uploading this
R.I.P Mr.Horner =( that's not fair! We lost one of our talent in a Plane Crash in the 90s and now this...
I believe and have faith that Simon Franglen will do James Horner proud.
I feel there's no point going on with avatar 2 anymore. Makes me so sad hearing Horners plans in this video, but will not be able to create it :(
I love how he says "todays weird pop music " lol
RIP James Horner
He sounds so British
He was American, but spent part of his childhood in Englland.

Horner died in 2015 when his plane crashed. He was the pilot and only one on board. He was 61 years old.
Rip James Horner
