Filling honey jars the easy way.

- I use a Nassenheider "fill up" to fill my honey jars and tubs. Here's a quick demo on that. I think these units are fairly affordable for a medium sized home sales honey operation. If you plan to sell your honey in small containers, you should definitely consider the advantages of a unit like this.
That’s awesome. Nice setup and nice video. Thanks for sharing. Blessings!
Nice. Love the way you run with your modifications. To many people are willing to run right out the box. And you refits work.
If you watch my logic videos you'll learn about the fallacy of bias. The modifications that don't work don't make it to the video stage.
That’s awesome I thought I was the only one that used a forklift for head pressure! Can’t wait to show my kids. Ingenuity at it’s finest 👏👊🤟
Thanks for noticing those details.
@@philbeeman How many kg of honey did you produce this year?
@@yasart2546 aprox 86000 kg
@@philbeeman congrats how many hives did you get
@@yasart2546 1400 hives went into winter
Neat little metering pump and cool setup for bottling.
Wow that is a slick system. Would love to have something like that. Eliminates all the mess.
yeah. I've packed about 10,000 lbs with it.
I'm building something like this. except mine will start pumping when a limit switch is made. but so much easier than the old honey gate. I'll have a video out soon of the build
Bought mine from Mann Lake about eight years ago. At that time it was of German origin, I believe it still is. Very high quality build and has never skipped a beat. Unfortunately the price is now near $1000 more than I paid .
Yeah I should check how many lbs total it has packed for me. Last time i checked that stat on the machine it was 6 figures.
Would love to your complete up.
Does honey temperature affect the filler? Does it tolerate a pretty wide range?
Fairly wide range. You have to calibrate the machine to the honey viscosity to get exact fills
Handy machine
Mann Lake PA 100 EZ Fill $3395US.
That’s a really nice machine. I just spent an hour filling containers from a honey gate.
Do you sterilize glass jars before use?
I seldom use glass jars except for special orders. I fill those jars as provided to me by the customer.
Does the honey have to be heated and if so what temperature?
It’s nice to be a bit warm.
How much is the pump? Where’d you get it?
I bought this one 24 years ago so I can't speak to current pricing.
Very nice. How do you keep your honey liquid? mine has crystalized weeks ago.
I have a warmer to re-liquify it.
Mr Phil. How does your barrel lift keep the barrel from flipping? And whats the brand of the bottler?
It was one of my first videos, so not many people saw it: ua-cam.com/video/7KugcSShhOc/v-deo.html
The brand is Nassenheider, but I think Mann Lake has the license for North America.
How do you get air back into the barrel when pumping out of it?
The barrel has a small bung on the topside of the lid. I just remove that.
What temperature is the honey when you bottle it?
Typically room temp. Sometimes a bit warmer
How runny does the honey have to be?
A bit warm is better.
Hi Phil
Where do you get your jars?
Cheers
The smallest ones are purchased by the bride-to-be from amazon. The rest are from BeeMaid honey or Richard's packaging, a local supplier.
@@philbeeman thankyou Phil. You are doing a great job at helping us all improve!
That's just cheating . Don't even need to clean off the sticky finger prints off
