    I love that roaring sound when gas is ignited in the valves. Reminds of jumbo jet taking off on a rainy day. 👍😃

    I have a Bonaire MB3 that is getting a bit long in the tooth and a newer one using 30 percent less gas sounds promising. What model is this one please? TY

      I am not exactly sure as the video was made a couple of years ago, however it is definitely a Bonaire MB6 series unit.
      If you are in Adelaide why not give us a call to get one of our techs out there to take a look at yours.

    Hi there..instead of drawing the air from the return..is it possible to modify the system that it can draw the air from the roof space which will result in using less gas as the roof is generally hotter than the home on sunny winter day.

    • @airconditioningdoctor
      @airconditioningdoctor  3 роки тому

      It is not something I would recommend.
      Air being drawn in to the unit must be clean. This would mean filters would end up in the roof space. Filters need to be in an area where they are easilly serviceable by the home owner.
      The manufacturers of furnaces aim for a certain ``temperature rise`` across the heat exchanger, this would not occur correctly if air is being drawn from the roof space and not the occupied space.
      It would also cause static pressure issues with the system as the supply air would be working against a higher static pressure.
      There are passive heat transfer kits which can be used to provide some small temperature rise. This would be a better solution.
      Thanks for wathcing the video.

    Is the gas used in this system similar or the same as refrigerant such and R410a or R134a in aircon and refrigeration?my company doesn't do heating systems like this, just reverse cycle heating

    • @airconditioningdoctor
      @airconditioningdoctor  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Hayden.
      No it is not refrigerant, it burns Natural Gas, just like your stove top (if it is gas)

      @@airconditioningdoctor so how would hooking it up to the gas line work? Would a plumber have to get involved and how do you shut off the gas line when undergoing installation?

    How to reset the breamer heater, mine stop working second time, installed 3 years ago, last year they visited to reset.

    • @airconditioningdoctor
      @airconditioningdoctor  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Jack.
      Your owners manual will show how to reset the unit. If the problem returns, a service tech will need to take a look at the unit. Being less than 5 years old, you might find it is still under warranty.

    I have a similar unit in my rooftop. Is there a air filter for this type of heaters? I am getting very low air from the vent in the other end of the house. Internet suggest me to clean the air filter of the heater before calling a technician. Thanks

    • @airconditioningdoctor

      Take a look where the air gets drawn back into the unit. It is normally located in a common central area like a hallway in the ceiling behind the grill.

    hi , i have ducted refrigerative cooling and gaz heating from bonair ,but if i set the controller to go down from 25 to 20 , it will only bring the temp from 25 to 24 , what would be the issue on a brand new install like that?

    • @airconditioningdoctor
      @airconditioningdoctor  4 роки тому

      If it is not coming down in temperature and it is a recently installed system it would be best to ask the installer to come back to take a look. Just make sure you are in cooling mode.
      Both the product and installation have warranty.

    Hi Steve, we have a unit displaying a long-slow single green pulse on the control board, but cannot get the navigator to connect to the transceiver. Do you think it's possible the transceiver is kaput? I'm not sure what else could be the problem. Great video btw, thanks!

    I have a Bonaire MB4 and the Inducer motors on these are too noisy when it turns on and Off. I regret buying it and there is no way to silence it. I had Bonaire technicians look at it and apparently that is how the MB4 works. Very disappointing. My heater is external and very close to neighbors house close to our fence.
    I know the blower motor obviously has to make some noise but the inducer on the Bonaire is annoyingly whining when Starting and turning off.....
    What is the quietest ducted heater there is?

    • @airconditioningdoctor
      @airconditioningdoctor  2 роки тому +1

      Hi ET.
      All high efficiency ducted gas heaters will have an induced or forced draft flue blower that will make some noise.
      Measuring the noise is not something we have ever done so I cannot answer your question.
      It would be a question best put to a manufacturer to answer.
      We recommend Rinnai StarPro heaters.
