Last season really had me worried that the WRC would be entering a long boring era of Rovanpera/Toyota dominance. But so far this season has already been proving that wrong. This rally in particular was one of the best in years.

Some of the absolute best drivers in the world. Other types of racing often get a lot of hype about their drivers talent. There’s no comparison to rally racing.

As long as the car can keep up with the driver, it's definitely looking possible. Also, now that Hyundai is caught up to Toyota I could easily see this being a three way battle to the very end. It will definitely be more difficult for Rovanpera to run away with the championship this year.
@@RichardHennigan The 3way battles in 2017,2018 and 2019 were great to watch. Hope this year we get even more guys in the fight. Evans could be the 4th if he gets the feel of the car.

Great Rally, happy for Ott TANAK & M-Sports. They really deserved & earned that win. Looks like 2023 season is getting exciting, hope we get some more similar surprises & fights between the teams & drivers. Let's see what the next gravel rally holds for us !

The hyundai's turbo flutter sounds amazing imo

Those snow banks are unforgivable
The Puma, especially in Tanak's hands, was caned well beyond its capabilities in this rally. The Toyota seemed to me to be out of sorts, looked not fully prepared and even Ropanpera seemed to be hanging on by his fingernails. On the other hand, to me, the Hyundai was breathtaking. It looked in a sweet spot, well-dialed in and apparently the fastest car of this edition of Rally Sweden. The race is how it all comes to an end, but I really feel that, save for the episodes of bad luck that befell them, Breen and Lappi were set to bring home a 1-2 for their team. In fact, given the glittering way that Neville was dancing whenever he had his tail up in the air, the rally could well have ended with a 1-2-3 for Hyundai. Bring on Mexico!
