I am a proud owner of a Stoeger Cougar 9mm and shot the whole gamut of 9mm pistols and shot the Cougar the best compared to some of the finest 9mm defense pistols out there. The Trigger and recoil follow up shot sold me on this design of pistol I was able to shoot three rapid shots in a very tight pattern with control and repeating accuracy. I have put many rounds through this gun and never experienced any problems with all sorts of ammo. This gun is Nato tested and approved and even after numerous shots fired you cannot see any signs of wear so this gun is a winner my opinion.

I have the Beretta D model (DAO) and really enjoy shooting it. Good accuracy and quick follow up shots due to the rotating barrel action.

I had a Stoeger Cougar 9mm and it was a great gun. Accurate and ate any ammo I fed it. Wish I had not sold it.

As for the safety, I would suggest that when you walk into a room and 'turn on the lights', the switch goes UP.
    Remington rifles, UP or 'forward'.
Remington autoloading or pump; Browning BAR, etc., 'PUSH' the switch to the 'left' to turn it 'on' push = on.
There's a lot to be said about the direction of the safety, and somewhat about its location, let alone the technique on how to make it work.
Don't forget that the Walther P-38, the first double-action 9mm had the slide-mounted safety. S&W Autoloaders, the same.
    It's not really that 'un-intuitive'.

Excellent handgun review and marksmanship! My 9mm Cougar is my preferred travel sidearm of choice over my M9 Beretta. Won't part with either handgun.

Stoeger Cougar FL with 1500 cartridges cease fire did not make a single mistake, it is very solid, reliable and likes to get oiled.

Thank you for the interesting video. This is the first time I've seen a Cougar 8000. Would be nice to see the gun closer, and from more angles, and to have the calibre and capacity stated.

Before the 92 italian police forces were using Beretta 34. It was almost impossible to shoot straight. Once I had to take fire without responding because of the terrible accuracy. It was 40 years ago in Rome

@GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC I did thanks! After my comment, I
watched reviews of the 34 and the comments seemed positive. That was not the case of my gun. My shooting quality increased exponentially once I was equipped with Beretta 92s

These hand guns are seriously underestimated by the public sometimes... Especially those kids who play Fortnite. They have no idea how de-exaggerated the producers made the guns.

  • @Taprack13
    @Taprack13 10 років тому

I agree, I think that safety is a huge flaw by Beretta, I personally prefer no safety. Decocker's such as with the Sig 226, or CZ 75bd are much more preferred with da/sa guns.

When you carry to the field 2 or 3 guns to spend time with friends, this is the less used, because is so perfect, that is not a challenge. But...in my case with this gun always fail. In other video maybe you can tell us more about rotating barrel. Thank you.

"G" model no safety, just a de-cocker. If you have a storm you can contact Beretta and purchase the kit and or easily convert the pistol yourself.
