I tried the Mara S Campo hack on myself. It was less processing time.for sure. It was heavy in the back, but I realized I put too many pieces on the feeder. The next time I do it, I will use dewer pieces. Also I will feed a few along the sides to cover the parts. In an essence, I like the hack.
Yes I’ve seen her hack and I’ve tried it What I did was braids all the braids from the front into the back single braids so that you won’t have the bulk in the top like that.
I did do her hack on my daughter's hair. It works and so much faster. I like that you made extra boxes because her hair thick. I will do that next time. Thanks girl!!
I just tried it last week. My hair is thick so next time I will break the back down into smaller sections and bring the illusions back further. I think I may also do illusions along the perimeter and the two rows in the back like you did.
For Mara's hack i believe the back braids were closer to the side of the head rather than the middle of the section. I cant remember the bulk braid, i imagine it was braided toward the ear and joined to another braid in the back for a better camouflage.
I tried Mara's hack. It's the faux dreads that are still in my head now, you can see the finished look in my latest videos. I wasn't smart enough to do six braids in the back like you did and my hair is thick so I just widened the holes and squeezed it over my braids. instead of combining those front braids with one big braid down the middle, I made a small anchor braid across the top and I braided the ends of the illusion braids in with my top back plat, if that makes sense. It's hard to explain but the idea was to get it as flat as possibe.
I did the hack and ran into the same problem of having the hump. 😮💨 I did my plaits more towards the perimeter instead of in the middle. That helped to space the crochet hair more evenly. I have to think of a way around the hump.
Ok the first way look cool and seem faster but yeah think it came out faster too but thanks for showing this you let me know I have enough hair for the second style I have 7 pack but it 12 braids per pack
I saw it on a different video. There were only 6 plates in the back and she hooked them up to the plat above it and use a beater, and it worked fine.It only had 3 rows and it was full due to it was curly hair. No buno bump no bulk❤
Exactly definitely worth it for DIY. It's time saving, just great. And also great for kids or special needs anyone who can't sit long but still wants to be cute and gorgeous ❤. Thank u for sharing ❤❤
The hack was great, worked really well for me. Especially loved the half up half down one very pretty

@apriljames-clark1402 that's what I did too. Back was too heavy. I wore it for a few days then took it down. I'm going to try it again soon with less.

Yes I think that would’ve worked!
The second braid pattern was exactly what I needed to see , thank you so much for this tutorial......you helped an old lady out tremendously 😂❤
I did this hack on myself and i really love it.

I tried the hack and it so much easier to do and take out. I love it.
The pattern you done is good, but the braids from the front should connect to the back braids. Over all, I love the outcome. Beautiful job.
Yes I agree!! lol and thank you! ❤️
I HAVE SEEN HER HACK
.HAVEN'T TRIED YET BUT I AM GOING TO TRY IT
Can you put this in an updo? Like a bun or ponytail?
I really liked both. I think I like the second look better. I want to do my hair like this

You made it work it looks nice

The bump is problematic. The second look...loved it! Thank you
I am glad you liked the second look! Thank you!
Such a neat and thoughtful presentation! Much gratitude to you for showing a timely way to get
CUTE RRR 💜👍🏾
I would 💯percent do this on myself.
Great hack!
That would be perfect for quick Mohawk crochet style
Great job ❤
Thank you! 😄
Beyond Beautiful and Quick thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you! 😊
Luv it❤
Beautiful❤
Thank you! 😊
@ ❤️
I love it
Love this style 😍
@@Willi0496 thank you!

This hack didn’t work for my hair 😩
Better braid pattern on second style
I think it would have worked if you just added the front braids into the back braids, maybe
Yes probably 😅
I love this style, i dont know if i will be able to do it , limited skills.
Lol! Doing hair on yourself can be tricky, but you should still try.

No buno bump no bulk❤
I saw the lady do it on instagram. I think the hair was longer, but does it feel heavy when you rubber band the braids together?
No it doesn’t make it heavier. It would depend on how much crochet hair was used but it’s pretty lightweight.
@PrincessDiamond I'm going to try it out.😊
❤❤❤
The back braid should have been attached to the middle braid then so fourth Everytime you braid the hair connect it yo the next braid upwards
Stop playing all the time😂
❤🎉
Me i can do this but my stylist better not cuz what am I payin you for
Ok nevermind my math was off you had 160 I only got 84 need sleep
Creative… I’m just not into how either method lays down
I don’t like that Hack, it wastes hair, to many braids on 1 row
Mara hack is a mess sorry I like the second version but it looks like it's not enough hair a little boneless lol
The process is tacky. It's a waste of time and money. I would never pay anyone for that nor charge anyone to do that.❤
To pay someone for, maybe. To DIY like the majority of crotchet braiders, this is a game changer lol
Yeah I think it’s mainly for DIY and saving time. Not really for service you’d pay for.
Exactly definitely worth it for DIY. It's time saving, just great. And also great for kids or special needs anyone who can't sit long but still wants to be cute and gorgeous ❤. Thank u for sharing ❤❤
@@vickiecole1792 then don’t nobody even asked you
Yall need to watch how yall talk to people. This comment was uncalled for. Nobody was begging to do this to your hair so why even say this?
