I would like to see this story retold. This is what Disney should of done instead of destroying what they have. I would like to to see it like a game of thrones style
We have one. There was a fan film made a year or two ago that combined the Mandalore episodes, the battle of coruscant from the 2003 movie and the deleted scenes into one movie, it's pretty magical.
In this instance he would have been 'W' Bush. Or have we forgotten the "Patriot" act, along with all those multi colored terrorists threat levels every week?
too bad he never released his 4 hour version. I would love to see these scenes in the actual movie. Biggest problem with ROTS was that it left important details out
I would argue the deleted scenes in ROTS being made into an extended cut would be more impactful than the extended of the LOTR trilogy story wise. Pacing would be drastically improved, scenes they left in that didn’t really make sense would suddenly make all the cents. The timeline would be easier to follow and maybe most importantly Anakin would make alot more sense. Im just messing with creation at this point but it would have been really nice to see Anakin and Obi wan in battles on separate planets to recall them to Coruscant. Showing us while still good friend and brothers, the war has ripped them apart and put distance between them both physically and metaphorically. It would also make the transition to Anakins different look make more sense, as well as the scar. Anakin has been fighting a war mostly on his own with his clones, his way, to great success and is a hero of the republic at this point. That should have really been hammered into our heads, not alluded to.
They're not "important details." They're deleted scenes. They didn't make the cut. Ergo, they are *****literally***** non-canon and by definition, not important. They're not "details." They were almost details, though. But they aren't.
Yes we did and in the end it ended up being a mistake from Palpatine. He thought the Death Star would be more than enough to keep everyone in line with fear and terror. But thanks to the Force and Luke that thing was destroyed and the rebellion showed there's still a chance to end the sith tyranny. We see the rebellion grow in the material that takes place between the original trilogy movies and become very relevant and even 'threatening' to the Empire and to Palpatine. Threatening enough for him to form that plan that takes place in The Return Of The Jedi where he lures all the important rebel alliance members into one place by making himself look 'vulnerable'.
@@Zamppa86, good points, especially in regards to the material acknowledging a growth in "in universe" material for the Alliance. After Yavin the Empire had to literally fill a vacuum and that gave the Alliance a chance to (somewhat) ketchup.

This movie is actually full of political statements that fit it's time. After 9/11, as George Bush (Jr.) government started to come up with ways of sacrificing freedom in the name of security, then orchestrated the invasion of Iraq with no justification, mass protests broke out all over. He gave his famous anti-democracy speech "if you are not with us, you are against us" while this movie was in production. Yoda was the rule, not the exception, and that’s what makes it more unfortunate: Qui-Gon was right to say that the Jedi listened too much to the Senate and not nearly enough to the Force.
@@joshuaburris6805 true but Mace knew something was up and Yoda just kind of blew off his concerns. You’d think the Grand Master of the Jedi would be beyond such subtle manipulation.
@fredericklockard3854 wouldn't have been a movie if he had , which is partly why Yoda exiled himself after his duel with Sidious he knew he messed up but many of the jedi were fooled it was meant to be
One of the problems with the prequels is the whole force language starts to sound idiotic. Any fool can see that the chancellor is moving to consolidate power. It doesn’t take Jedi clairvoyance to see that and yet the Jedi are blind or inept or both throughout their chess match with Palpatine. That includes Yoda.
It's what inevitably happens when you become too dependent on a thing. You become unable to make the simplest and most obvious decisions once that thing doesn't work for you anymore.
The fans shouldn't have turned on Lucas so strongly that he felt he had to sell his baby to Disney. Also, Disney Star Wars is good. Mandalorian, Last Jedi, Acolyte, Rogue One, Andor, are my favorite productions. It's been hit or miss but far more output than Lucas.
😂you really think last Jedi and acolyte is good? Omg, I won’t get into politics, but I can almost guess who you’re voting for if you’re old enough. The prequels could have done without jar jar and the movies would have been a 1000 times better. As for Lucas selling to Disney. Disney was the Sith Lord in hiding in this case.
What is really interesting is that in The Mandalorian we are greeted with the notion that maybe The Rebellion are not the good guys after all. This reflects life all too well. So many people out there think they are fighting the good fight against what they hate, little knowing that they are manipulated into fighting FOR what they despise. Those at the top always have very sinister ways with powerful tools to keep hold of power, and know exactly how to play the masses.
That is simply not the case. It’s as plain as knowing whats right and whats wrong, whats good and whats bad “for the people”. All they were trying to show in S1 of The Mandalorion is that if you lean too far one way and focus on one aspect, in the Rebellions case “preserving the peace”, then you essentially have blinders on and cant see the bigger picture.
@@smokeythagamer8521 Concepts such as right and wrong, good and bad are matters of opinion. They are not based on anything matter of fact. First step toward this in reality is the Supreme Court Verdict made earlier this year. All presidents past, present, and future have "Absolute Immunity to Official Acts, Assumed immunity to Other acts 🥴, and No Immunity To Unofficial Acts. One may take comfort in the unofficial acts. So much comfort that they not use natural assumption toward what they think an unofficial act is instead of looking further into to see what the Supreme Court considers an Unofficial Act. The reality is that defined absolutely nothing as an unofficial act and said that responsiblity isn't theirs

(appropriate reference) "it's a trap!" I ordered from SWA sabers and got a 50/50 working/dead on arrival rate. took a long time but eventually managed to get a replacement part for one of them but got ghosted on the other part. significantly overpaid compared to other websites (their "sales" are bs, shop around and you'll find the exact same sabers for way cheaper elsewhere even compared to the "sales") but i was ok with that because i enjoyed the content at the time and wanted to support a creator. also was supposed to get a "free stand" that's been missing in the mail for several months but in reality i doubt it was ever shipped. don't fall for the SWA scams.
Technically mace Windos desire for the chancellor to immediately end the war after grievous is destroyed is a little bit of a ludicrous thing to say because no war just ends because someone who is in charge of it gets taken out. there's a wind down oeriod, same with starting a war. That ultimately leads to stragglers still fighting that have to be eliminated etc etc. this war would have probably stretched on another 6 months or so realistically
Yes, and what's so great to analyze is that the Jedi were out of place, they were never meant for politics and never meant to be generals leading armies. There place was always away from government, so their judgement would not be clouded. Ultimately they got too comfortable in their high positions of power and couldnt sense danger because they had lived 1,000 years of peace.
That's awesome! I'm a big SW fan since I was a little kid. I'm also studying political science in university nowadays. And now I'm gonna be reflecting and talking about this perspective you brilliantly shared brother. Greetings from Barcelona!

As we learned from William L. Shirer's The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, people don't listen to warnings, especially in "children's movies" as they call STAR WARS.
George Lucas couldn’t write political dialogue if his life depended on it. Compare this to Tony Gilroy’s writing in Andor. THAT is how you write political intrigue.
It’s very interesting how Lucas used historical references/inspiration in his stories. Palpatine used his govt enforcers behind the scenes for influence and created wars to enable the building of the republic army. Reminds me of the Ukraine situation. Covid was also a way for certain states/cities to enact insane controls over people, which we now know was paid for and researched by our own govt. The governors in Star Wars were also later installed by palpatine. The people didn’t get to vote for those positions. Always interesting to see how real life is injected into science fiction.
"We cannot let a thousand years of democracy disappear without a fight." Citizens of _all_ Western countries, remember this line until the end of your days.
"The Dark Side of the Force surrounds the Chancellor..." Of course, the fact that he probably reeked of ozone, presumably like a Jedi, yet nobody at the Temple trained with him, totally had nothing to do with this assessment.
Now just think who are the people who repeatedly talk about adjustments to the constitution and who are the ones that want to abide by them nigh flawlessly.
And which politician was nearly assassinated several times and which people keep saying they wish it was successful. And which side keeps purging political enemies from state institutions.
This is amazing. My biggest, and really only problem with ep3 is the Vader scenes at the end where the empire is basically as we see it in the ot. There’s nothing in the movie to indicate how it got there basically overnight. Rots would have been much better if tarkin was involved
This is why I‘ve always loved the prequels- they show how dictators rise to power (minus the force). Use an existing crisis or create one, then promise to solve it, get military support -> seize political power. Look at Julius Caesar, Napoleon, Hitler- they used the same pattern.
@@brownitsdown Well, Trump is definitely too blunt to use any of those tactics. He just plainly said that US citizens only have to vote one more time if they chose him. That anyone seriously falls for this narcissistic, senile man is beyond me. I‘m European, our news are less biased and the contrast between Harris and trump is striking. All I‘ve heard of Trump is that he praises himself and his beautiful body (What??) and calls his opponents stupid. We wouldn’t allow a child to talk in such a way. I feel like some of the deleted scenes could have made for really good usage in a show like "Andor".
👏👏👏👏👏👏 Well done. You've just earned a new subscriber. And Lucas has been warning us since before Star Wars. 'THX 1138' was 'The Matrix' before The Matrix. 😉
I always hated Mas Ameda, he's Palpatine's yes man.
I misread "Mass Media" in that, and corrected myself twice.
All good. Either way, he sucks lol
@@Mdavid_ Ah, my point is, Mass Media or Mas Ameda both do the same thing. Promoting the tyrant.
A four-hour cut of ROTS would move so fast and wouldn’t feel like four hours.
More proof that Yoda was a fool. He should have listened to Mace. Instead he sat by with his head up his butt while Palpatine took over.
Yoda was the rule, not the exception, and that’s what makes it more unfortunate: Qui-Gon was right to say that the Jedi listened too much to the Senate and not nearly enough to the Force.
You forget power of sidious to cloud judgement and obscure the truth which is why most of the best jedi failed to see he was a sith lord
@@joshuaburris6805 true but Mace knew something was up and Yoda just kind of blew off his concerns. You’d think the Grand Master of the Jedi would be beyond such subtle manipulation.

@fredericklockard3854 wouldn't have been a movie if he had , which is partly why Yoda exiled himself after his duel with Sidious he knew he messed up but many of the jedi were fooled it was meant to be
Dude, this is the history of modern Russia
These deleted scenes would've made the film. I really hope we get a version with all the cut scenes. Man, so many directions the data could've gone!
Episode III “I’m more powerful than the chancellor…I can overthrow him.”
Episode VI: Yeets good ole Sheev down the reactor shaft.
Gotta love Yoda: "Yep, pretty bad it is, but wait even longer we must. Till it's too late we should dither." Hilarious.
So your telling me the Jedi actually suspected something but in the cut we get they act clueless.
I was hoping Lucas would have warned us against Disney ruining the franchise.
@@applejuicejunkie316
It’s literally not lol
Disney is trash
@@applejuicejunkie316I'll agree there's been more output
😂you really think last Jedi and acolyte is good? Omg, I won’t get into politics, but I can almost guess who you’re voting for if you’re old enough.
The prequels could have done without jar jar and the movies would have been a 1000 times better.
As for Lucas selling to Disney. Disney was the Sith Lord in hiding in this case.
The new movies, aside from Rogue One, are trash. But I'd be hard pressed to tell you who could have saved it.
Sound familiar yet?
The Darth Plagueis novel tells how the Sith had been doing this for centuries.
Since the rise of Darth Bane.
The Mandalorian was DEIsney Star Wars, not canon.
They are interpreted by the individual, and the path to evil is always littered with intentions of good. It sounds like you have the blinders on if you can't see the dangers of this
What are you talking about? There is nothing in Mandalorian that suggests the Rebels weren't the good guys.
@@ArcanePath360 nah i'm pretty sure totalitarianism and imperial colonization are literally wrong and bad lol "the transatlantic slave trade is just an opinion, britain may have been the good guys!"

the question is, this scenes were not approved by who and why?)
The prequels are a warning that past performance is no guide to the future!
I know everyone seemed to hate the political talk in the prequels, but these are some important deleted scenes given what’s going on now.
4:00 Wayne Pygram as Moff Tarkin.
He was and still is awesome for playing Scorpius in Farscape.
Does anyone know how I could watch a version of Ep. III with these deleted scenes included?
Mecha Salesman has an excellent 4 1/2 version. It contains these delete scenes and more plus the Clone Wars final 4 episodes in it's entirety edited in chronologically. It's really great. There is also a little 2003 Clone Wars in there as well to flesh out the Battle of Coruscant! It's all quite glorious!
The warning was unheeded.
People wanted cheaper groceries rather than stop a dictator
The irony being is that if your side won, the other side would've been saying the exact same thing.
Gee, imagine if this were to proceed in real life. Oh, wait...
In darkness, corruption breeds. Disinfect all, sunlight does.
Even in Star Trek there are warnings about what is happening
Why is this literally what's going on with today's political party
I honestly thought this was leading up to you making your pitch for which candidate you think we should vote for in next week's election. Instead, you made your pitch to check out your lightsabers for sale. And for that, I have subbed to your channel and I'm going to go take a look at your sabers!
A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one!
I appreciate it 😎
Trump is an obvious fascist like the emperor

That’s awesome
If only someone had warned the Jedi what was going on! Dooku was always the greatest of the Jedi, even when he was a Sith.
Yeah exactly just like how The Battle of Endor wasn’t technically the end of the Empire

Sounds Like what Trump is doing
Those who give up freedoms in the name of security with both get, and deserve NEITHER!
Yoda is based on Yiddish which in this case is effectively German: Those who freedom forsake for security to gain will not either deserve.

Wait, so is this about Trump and the GOP?
Unfortunately both sides share a lot of these characteristics.
These deleted scenes have given me a better appreciation for RoTS. Wish these scenes were included in the final film.
What is called the song that was played in the background ??
As we learned from
William L. Shirer's The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, people don't listen to warnings, especially in "children's movies" as they call STAR WARS.
Wow. The TDS is strong in this one.
Well.. Art imitates life.
Really love that they brought back Mon Mothma for the new series.
"The Dark Side of the Force surrounds the Chancellor..."
Of course, the fact that he probably reeked of ozone, presumably like a Jedi, yet nobody at the Temple trained with him, totally had nothing to do with this assessment.
Why were these scenes deleted! Wow
Now just think who are the people who repeatedly talk about adjustments to the constitution and who are the ones that want to abide by them nigh flawlessly.
And which politician was nearly assassinated several times and which people keep saying they wish it was successful. And which side keeps purging political enemies from state institutions.
@@KenEze-k6k yup
This is amazing. My biggest, and really only problem with ep3 is the Vader scenes at the end where the empire is basically as we see it in the ot. There’s nothing in the movie to indicate how it got there basically overnight. Rots would have been much better if tarkin was involved
This is why I‘ve always loved the prequels- they show how dictators rise to power (minus the force). Use an existing crisis or create one, then promise to solve it, get military support -> seize political power. Look at Julius Caesar, Napoleon, Hitler- they used the same pattern.
That's right and there are parallels with what's happening in politics right now.
