Fun fact: The song, BIKE by Tanger, originated from an audio combat by Eliminate. It's a stream that happens every week iirc. At this specific audio combat the requirement was to use and transform a sound of a bike chain.

I found the lvl by chance before it blew up, thought "oh hey, this is better than the 100 identical levels I see every day", beat it a few times, then left it. It was way easier for me to enjoy it on my own terms before it grew popular, but now, still seeing the lvl constantly in my youtube feed or anywhere else annoys me, as it blowing up like it did ruin it for me. It feels like enjoyment has to be forced if I play it, which is why I decided to not showcase it back then. I still like the level as, honestly, it is well made and pretty creative imo, but it getting so popular and idolized ruined it for me.

Change of Scene is actually SUPER optimized. If you can run ispywithmylittleeye then Change of Scene will be a cakewalk to run. It only has 69k objects for two pretty differently decorated paths.

I highly agree with you about how new levels are a nightmare for players as myself. Around two years ago, my eyes had to get dilated, and to make a long story short, I had a rare allergic reaction and was in the hospital for around a day. When I got back I tried to play geometry dash again, since that was the game I was into then, but I just couldn’t, decorations were just to much for me, I can’t even play fingerdash without my eyes hurting. Today I am only able to play layout levels, and to make things worse they also messed up my eyesight since then and my reaction time has been lowered. I used to be really good at geometry dash, but now I can’t even beat Dry Out.
I really like the level because it's cool and I mean really COOL without demanding much from your device. In today's community, most cool levels require 1000% performance from your device that can barely run deadlocked (exaggeration obviously) but I think you get the point. Another thing is that most of the levels that you could say are cool tend to be of high difficulty. Take for example the collabs they make on extreme demons lately, they are BEAUTIFUL, sadly, many cannot appreciate that beauty because they don't have, first, one good enough device and two because they don't have the required skill. And I'm not saying that it's wrong to make difficult levels and that they are the ones that are usually the most beautiful. But I still think that having a little more of that for a player with an average skill would do better. And I would say that's what makes this level so great and really worth the recognition it has earned. Maybe not the part where you got to watching it every two seconds on UA-cam, but despite that it's a good level.
I saw a behind-the-scenes of this level and the reason you can survive the very edge of the lazer is bc behind the flashing colors is just a row of those saw looking things

@@how-dChange of Scene is surprisingly VERY optimized (just like most if not all of Bli’s levels), being just around 60-70k objects. I beat it on an iPad in full detail so your PC can handle it for sure.

idk but i'm pretty sure that the eye was inspired from terraria's eye of cuthulu bc it opens it's mouth in the second phase and the eye's opening its mouth in the second phase some inspiration might've been from Retinazer from the twins boss fight that shoots lasers out of his eye (Retinazer is is just an eye)
I have a high level of astigmatism too, but none of the parts really hurt my eyes. Maybe the spider part after the spider part that turns the lights off constantly.
