    We almost bought a kit a year ago, but scrapped the idea because I work 80-100 hours a week.
    It would take a long time to get the truck built and I might get tired of it taking so long.
    I enjoy your videos and your enthusium for the truck.

      Yes it would definitely take a long time to build working those hours. Thank you I appreciate it.

      I dont know if its just where im at but bodyshop schools are always looking for "donor" vehicles. And all the work is overseen by a master tech so its not like youd get shit work back. Free of charge since you are supplying them with practice

      We actually have a community college 15 miles from us that has a auto collection bodywork 2 year program.
      Never thought of contacting them. Teaming up with a student that wanted to get into Hot Rods and RestoMods sure would help both of us out. We have a 71 C10 that needs the paint fixed from road debris strikes. That might be a good way to get to know them. Thanks for the idea.

    Nice job on your spread sheets. Your right on the money and building it your way. I built truck #16. 50 k. And I did all the body work myself and a buddy primed and painted it for me.
    Paint materials alone were 3k
    Keep up the good work. I enjoy watching your videos and miss building in my garage I enjoyed it. Rob

      Robodent@me.com I’m a old body man that has been doing paintless dent repair now for 24 years full time. Shoot me a e mail if you want . I put shaved handles on my build. Wipers, e stop electric e brake cause I didn’t want to deal with the dreaded hand brake set up from ffr Advantage aluminum bed kit Really slick set up I flocked my interior cab painted roll bar, 3 point seat belts. Getting the doors aligned are probably the hardest part of the build it will test your patience for sure.

      Thank you. I am glad it was helpful. The kit was delivered April 1st 2020. There has been about a 9 month total that I didn't work on it because of relocating to Florida and moving twice in a six month span. I honestly couldn't answer how much it would cost to build now because of the insane inflation.

    Right from the get go.. this is what id tell the dmv/tax man. "I have my own shop. Made ALL my own parts" THATS how i did it so cheap." The dmv doesnt have the 'need to know' in my opinion. Im not paying tax on the money ive earned thats ALREADY been taxed!!!

    • @decelation

      Yes, that a tough one to swallow when they told me the price, 3500 stall is used a lot in drag racing and not much else so have to pay to play. That was my thought exactly. I am happy with the cost.

    Lot's of people have been telling me that I will not be able to fit in the '35 Truck, being 6'5" and 250lbs. Unsure what your height/weight are, but you're the only guy that has a full build of the FFR truck series on here... What would be your thoughts on me fitting in that truck. I was also planning on running an auto, but Ford powerplant.

    • @decelation
      @decelation  2 роки тому +1

      I am 6'1 and 230lbs. It is a tight squeeze for me to fit. There are things that can be done to squeeze out some more leg room. Tilt steering wheel is a must and you can also make seat brackets to lift the seat to take up some of the space as well. I highly recommend trying to have a seat in one ahead of time. If you happen to be in Florida I will gladly arrange a time for you to sit in mine

      @@decelation Few people on the FFR forum replied to my question last night, saying that Dave Smith is now making the cab 4" longer, that is supposed to fix the fitment issues for us big guys? I have a feeling that's going to take away from the period correct year of the truck... :( Also, I'm in North Alabama, so I won't be able to take you up on your offer :( I thought you lived in North Georgia, but I must've been wrong, LOL!
