Speaking in Sierras dilemma in feeling like she can't complain because others have it worse:
I am someone who has struggled with a chronic illness /pain daily for 6+ years quite badly and people always downplay their pain /experiences with 'but nothing like you...' and I always say
*Yes I struggle but that doesn't make your struggles any less valid. This is effecting you/ your life so its perfectly okay to complain and be upset. I won't be upset or angry by your upset. Vent away, I'm all ears, it's better than bottling it up* xx
Beth Freeman I have had this exact same experience in my life!! So important not to belittle others’ feelings❤️ Everyone’s struggles matter!
@@savannahjensen7699 I 100% agree.
I hope you're keeping safe and well!
Yes! Gotta say that Tati said it best lol "just because the person next to you is sitting in a full body cast, doesn't mean your broken arm doesn't still hurt"
Beth Freeman. Ive had chronic pain since 14 and i feel exactly the same. In fact, I feel I am so used to pain that I can handle it and people who are newer have it harder.
“i like fans” - stephen, 2020
LMAOO!!!!! 😂😂😂
The hottest of takes
lolllll
My husband LOVES fans. He literally has a box fan on his face ALL NIGHT. Also box fan white noise is the best!!!! We have multiple.
one of the quotes that really helped me get through my miscarriage was: I carried you for every minute of your life, and I will love you for every minute of mine...
It reminded me that all the love I had for that baby wasn't going to go away, even when the heartache felt less heavy.
"so we got pregnant but its your driveway" sooo funny jajajajajaj I laughed so hard.
I feel really bad for those who can’t have a funeral for their loved ones. Weddings can be pushed back.
I feel bad either way. A lot of vendors are non refundable.
100% agreed
Also Sierra's impression of a Disneyland bus driver>>>
There's a really good TED Talk by Nora McInerny called 'We don't "move on" from grief. We move forward with it.'
I highly recommend you guys listen to it. I found it when my grandmother passed away last year. The memory of the loss is always going to hurt, just like the memory of that first positive test will always make you smile. Much love to you both. 💕
Morgan Hampton sending love, thank you for sharing 💗
it is amazing. Incredibly amazing. xx
Omg! I’m like 9 months late to this episode but Sierra saying Olivia is the next Taylor Swift shook me!!! DRIVERS LICENSE IS ABOVE TAYLORS ALBUM AND SHE CONGRATULATED HER AND CALLED OLIVIA HER BABY!!! Sierras psychic skills omg
I've always been kind of a spotify user but i popped into the youtube recording and saw that intro and when I tell you I CACKLED i mean it LOL
Sierra: "You didnt miss me?"
Stephen: "NO"
LMAO DEAD!!! Love you guys hope you guys are well and stay safe
Sierra making Stephen blush is my favorite.
I still support Sierra calling it a “Jacuzzi” 😂
I actually think Stephen’s hot take is legitimate. I avidly dislike fans and any air blowing in my face.
Haley Stewart I agree! It dries out my skin and I just hate it
Yeah my nose starts to feel so dry I would rather sleep with my face covered than exposed to a fan
And it's 10x worst if it's hot air. Can't do fans in my face.
I love fans.
I hate fans AND ceiling fans!!
Being class of 2020 is absolutely awful. My graduation and everything is cancelled. Plus being fired was just icing on the cake. I'm so sad that many kids are having to still go to daycare because their parents are doctor, nurses, and electrical workers. I pray for everyone affected and hope everyone heals who is sick. Stay safe 😊
Sydney Loper You are completely entitled to grieve your loss in this situation. It’s completely unfair and healthy for you to be upset.
@@Tttttttttttttttttttttttttttt99 thank you for being kind. 😊 That sucks to miss a college graduation. Good luck to you as well.
as a server, i was among the first to be laid off. While i appreciate that you can see that your problems are small compared to others, you are still 100% allowed to be upset and sad that your daily routine has been messed with. especially for those of us with any kind of mental illness routines are so important!! dont feel bad for being upset or "complaining" because your problems are still releavant to you! much love to both you both!
some insight on funerals right now: my grandmother passed almost 2 weeks ago now (from causes unrelated to the virus). i live in md and the state is pretty well shut down. we only had a burial service for her-no viewing or church service or anything like that. it was limited to only ten of us and because of social distancing, i wasn't able to hug any of my family (mom, dad or sister. i live with my fiance, not my family.) normally, you would go out to lunch or something afterwards, but that was obviously not possible for us. we're planning to have a more extravagant celebration of life after this has blown over, but for now, that's all we got. i'm also planning a wedding in october, so fingers crossed that everything is okay by then.
I cracked up when Sierra started talking about High School Musical: The Musical :The Series, I had to google it to make sure that wasn’t a joke. Who is naming these shows on Disney Channel these days? 😂
It's a Netflix show i think
Jamie B It’s a Disney+ show. I haven’t attempted watching it yet.
It’s a Disney+ original series and it’s a comedy. It’s about the actual East high school doing their school play “high school musical:the musical” (which is what the broadway version of the movie is called). So the title makes sense although it is ridiculous lol
Just an idea: I have no experience with miscarriages and I'm so sorry about what happened. But for the hat, maybe you could put it on a stuffed animal and put it up on a shelf? I love stuffed animals and I think it would be a cute way to your kiddo
I announced to my family on Christmas Eve and had a miscarriage on New Year’s Eve. It was incredibly hard. It wasn’t planned but once I was pregnant it was all I wanted. Now my husband and I are trying. I have moved forward but some days are hard, I miss my baby as early as it was.
I had to pause and comment because my dad is retired and drives buses and said the SAME thing about the Disney buses. #retiredgoals 😂
you could frame the hat in the nursery of your future child and have some kind of art such as wings, I know its cliche but its very sweet and honorable. I love you sierra and beyond happy to see you back and posting
My friend’s mom had 3 miscarriages. I can’t even imagine how much pain she went through. However, she now has 7 beautiful children and her and her family are living a beautiful, healthy life. Sierra, I am so glad that you have made it through your miscarriage and you still have a positive attitude. You are a queen, and I am so excited to see what you and Stephen’s future holds. Love you guys!♥️
You know your day will be so much better when Sierra Unfiltered comes out with a new podcast ❤️
I was smiling during the WHOLE spa talk. Even when you're bickering y'all are adorable 😂
Hey, I hear you on that perspective thing and here's a quote I heard:
"Just because the person next to you in is a body cast doesn't mean your broken leg doesn't hurt." You're allowed to feel for yourself and also feel for others! Love to everyone out there!
I've sent this through a few different ways and I will absolutely continue till you see it: you should do a video trying to style those stretchy tube scarfs from like late elementary into middle school. The instructions said you could wear it like a normal scarf, infinity scarf, dress, etc. It could be so fun and ridiculous
Solar panels don’t need the summer heat to work! The energy output during the summer is higher because the days are longer, and therefore more sunlight, but the temperature outside has no effect.
Steven: "It's too cold....It's like 60 or 70 degrees."
Me: looks at the 3 inches of snow outside......
I love seeing you guys laugh and be so happy! Love it
THE INTRO 😂😍 LOVE THAT!
I am very excited and emotional about this episode.... I can't wait to listen to that whole thing ❤️ love you!
That intro is the greatest thing I've ever seen!!!!🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Paige Clements it really is 🤣👏🏼
Actually solar heating works with sunlight so the temperature is quite unimportant as long as the sun shines, at least that is what it's like with our solar panels sorry Stephen 😁
I think the main takeaway from the miscarriage might not be a takeaway for everyone, but for yourselves now you know you CAN get pregnant with your PCOS.
The way Sierra predicted Olivia Rodrigo’s success
One of my colleagues had a miscarriage about 3 years ago, at about the 4 week mark. She went on to have a healthy baby boy. Another friend had a stillbirth towards the very end of her pregnancy and she has had two children after that, if that brings you any comfort.
I feel the exact same way about Olivia! Literally in a three year relationship and her songs bring me back to the 15 year old me sad about boys! She’s incredible!
So happy you are back! Can’t wait for the weekly podcast ❤️
This is honestly my fav episode so far! I love seeing them going back and forth, yet still laugh about it. So wholesome.
Thank you for continuing to encourage distancing and everything protective that we need to do (and also thanks for giving us a place to escape into as well). Also I'm sending you the best thoughts about the miscarriage and your recovery (its so hard)
I'm happy to see Stephen back with the podcast. You guys have such good banter and time flies by quickly.
Stephen’s pasted-on face over Skyler’s in the intro is EVERYTHING
I have never experienced miscarriage but your video made me really understand what other women are going through, it made me understand their mindset and their emotions and I really appreciate you for being open about it
My whole country is on quarantine rn and I don’t live with my partner, so I have been feeling down and I miss her like crazy. But seeing other people online with their partners, bickering in the most loving way, is making me feel better and hopeful for the day I see her again. So thank you, this episode was lovely.
You two are amazing. All I can say is the weight and severity is different for all of us. For some people it’s a domino effect and for some other people it’s only effecting a couple of factors. Just feel your feels and keep your compassion towards others, know this is probably the worst time in many people’s lives( which is exactly what you two are already doing) you are amazing and strong. You’re guy’s love is beautiful and I’m so happy you two have each other in this crazy and uncertain time. Thank you for always keeping it real. Sending so much love ❤️
Sierra dont worry about venting about the virus situation or anything else! Also please do not be afraid to cry on video! Especially about the miscarriage! If you bottle it up its not good for you at all. Mentally or physically! I love you guys and thank you for opening up with us
I was literally supposed to get married today. And I’m having my first appointment with the baby dr Tuesday and I have to go by myself and get an ultrasound done without my fiancé. It really does suck.
I think this is one of my favourite podcasts. You are made for each other. ❤️
Thank you for being so brave and sharing your story.
I feel the same Sierra! My fiancé is an essential worker and we’re living separately right now because he doesn’t want to put me in harms way in case he came home with something. It’s so hard! But at the same time I have to remind myself that other people have it so much worse and I’m praying for them! But it’s important and valid to acknowledge your feelings and worries so don’t feel like you can’t feel that way!
Actually about Stephen’s hot take : my boyfriend cannot sleep with a fan on him especially not blowing on his face! I have to have a fan pointed at my face at night but cannot sleep if it’s pointing at my body alone
Sydney Simmons 100% agree
SO happy to have you guys back ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m so happy your back and doing well! 😍 I missed you guys so much
So excited to listen while I work from home!!!!
I had have the weirdest month in my life. My mom was diagnosed with a brain tumor and she had a cerebral hemorrhage because of a surgery. This happened just a few days before corona virus happened. The hospitals are in lockdown and my mom tested positive for corona. And still I like hearing other experienced, It makes me feel like im not alone. These are expectional times and we all fear something, it just helps to talk about it ♥️
Thank you guys for talking about essential workers. I’m also an essential worker and still have to work 40hrs a week out of the home.
So many youtubers are trying to cutesy up quarantining and make videos about how now they are inconvenienced bc they have to online thrift now instead of in person thrift.
Thanks for acknowledging that some people still have no choice but to continue to leave their home everyday, risk exposure, so they can support their families. Thank you.
I am currently in nursing school, thinking I want to go into labor and delivery. Hearing you had a good experience with the medical staff during such a hard time makes me so happy. That is why I'm entering the medical field and I really appreciate all the kind words. Nursing school is so incredibly hard and this gives motivation. Love ya Sierra !!!
So excited to watch this!! I always look forward to the podcast😍😍
So happy the vlogs are back!! I missed them so
So i listened on spotify but had to come comment and say that I totally agree about Olivia Rodrigo. She is amazing and has such a good voice. I hope we all see a lot more of her
So glad you’re back! 💕
I already listened to the podcast on Apple podcast but I wanted to pop in and say Sierra your hair looks incredible!!! It gives me hope that my hair can look like that at some point in my curly girl journey!😊
This intro edit is EVERYTHING. I laughed way too hard
Love you guys as a couple. Thanks for sharing your experience.
So glad to have you back :) you are looking amazing xx
Every time Sierra said "High School Musical, The Musical, The Series" is so funny. She says it so seriously and it's hilarious.
U guys are too cute together - just started watching, and I love these!
So happy you guys are back 💕💕
I just love you guys! 😂 Also, I’m one of those lucky ones who’s wedding has had to be postponed. PLUS, me & my fiancé are long-distance, so we have no clue when we will get to see each other again. BUT, we are both healthy, so that’s all that matters!
I have to agree with Stephen on the fans topic. We live in MN where it gets very cold during the winter months but no matter what the temperature is outside, I HAVE to have my ceiling fan on and we also have a standing rotating fan that we have pointed directly at the bed. I’d rather be cold and bundle up in all my blankets, than be hot and not be able to do anything about it. I also need to have the sound to fall asleep. I even have a small portable fan that I bring with on vacations because I need the noise!
my hot take: Wondering is the best song on the HSMTMTS soundtrack
Ria oh yea. just for a moment SLAPS
Unrelated but:
aaah, even the acronym is so long ahah
@Ria I'm actually quite fond of the name, I agree in that it is intended to be ironic- it's just amazes me just how many words they crammed into the title lol
Canceled wedding right here 🙋♀️ I cried, I was angry, but now I’m just thankful for my health and ready for all of this to be over before October.
The kindness of that stranger made me cry 😭 what a great reminder that humanity isn’t all bad.
We all love you so much! So glad your back! Best wishes to you both!
I love you guys and I am so happy to see you guys doing good and settling into your new home!💖
I love Sierra Stephen podcast. It’s nice to hear about your marriage and working as a team 💜
thank you for sharing 💗💗 prayers to y’all during this time 💗
I love that it’s longer! Yayyyyyyy
Comments during this episode:
1. Stephen's hot take is definitely a hot take. I hate any cold air blowing on me and my husband loves it. It just makes me feel colder for some reason.
2. I feel you Sierra on not wanting to complain about your problems during a pandemic as they seem minor to others losing their jobs, loved ones, and even more. However, I think it's important to know that even if your challenges seem minor, they are not devalued because someone else has it worse.
3. Your bickering about the hot tub/jacuzzi/ spa reminds me SO much about my husband and I. My husband is a lot more frugal than I am and when Disney + came out, we had a bickering about getting it and he tried to tell me I couldn't get it without splitting it with someone. I told him it's 6.99 a month. Paying it once a month is less than one pack of IPA's he's currently drinking. I won that arguement.
Love this, and you guys! Exited you are back
Can’t wait for the unfiltered sign to go up ♥️♥️♥️
I really appreciated hearing your pregnancy and miscarriage story from both you and Steven!! I wish you guys all the best with your new house ❤️ I have to say though, I miss Skylar on here!!
Last summer I dealt with the miscarriage of the twin of my son, and that was so hard! I’ve been praying for you guys as you go through this season. I had my first baby two weeks ago, a day after our hospital decided I would only be allowed one person in delivery with me (other than medical personnel). My husband was able to be there with me, but my mother, who had planned to be there for the delivery of her first grand baby, was not allowed past the entrance. It was very disappointing and sad, but in the midst of it all (from the conception of my babies to a rather challenging delivery), God was very present with us, and we know He is good and in control.
I literally cannot have ANY air blowing on my face!! It makes me feel like I can’t breath. Most definitely a hot take ✊🏻
Hey i know that I’m one of your younger views under the age of 18 but I listen to you for 15 minutes every night before I go to bed. Your really awesome and I enjoy everything you do. 🥰🥰 love how body positive you are. HOPE YOU READ THIS BUT IF NOT THATS OKAY AND THX FOR TAKING THE TIME OUT OF YOUR DAY TO READ THIS IF YOU DO.
I am so happy for you and Skylar that you have found such healthy, supportive relationships so early in your lives.
Such a nice podcast. Thank you ❣
That intro tho💯💯💯💯 love you! Stay safe! Prayers to yall!
Stephen's hot take is a good one ! I hate sleeping with any fans on... I get a dry cough and wake up feeling with a dry throat, but when I sleep with an AC I'm completly fine
The gas stations around us are already putting up glass partitions for between the employees and the customers. So I'm curious to see the changes that happen after the pandemic. Love you guys! Hang in there everyone! Stay safe and happy!
I think the timing of this new house is such a gift from God to your family to help you move through a hard time. So cool 😊.
I really love the idea of framing the hate! Of course you need to do what feels right for you, but that is such a sweet way to honor that life
From one pool owner to another, pools can be very complicated. We don’t have someone who takes care of our pool, we’ve had to learn how to take care of it. During the cold months we check the ph levels at least once a week and during the summer we check it at least every other day bc we use it so often. My husband is pretty crazy about making sure the pump is on when people are in it. We allow ourselves 2 days a year where we’ll heat the pool (like the whole thing not just the spa) bc it is indeed very expensive 😅
I definitely understand downplaying your own problems. I’m a senior in high school, and was supposed to graduate in three weeks. Now I’m pretty sure we won’t have a ceremony, as my country is on lockdown and every ceremony is being cancelled. I’m also scarred as after graduating, all the people from my year have a very important final exam, that often decides which college we will be accepted into. Now, we don’t know if the exam will happen in time, how will it affect our college applications, and it’s just chaotic. And in all that, I’m still sad I won’t have this perfect summer I always envisioned after finishing school, but I know there are so many people who are going through so much more than just loosing a few weeks of vacation
LOVE the insert of Steve-o's face haha thanks for the laugh!
I like Steven's hot take. I absolutely hate any amount of air blowing on me from a fan, it makes me instantly cold and my boyfriend loves it.
i LOVE the opening where you edited Stephen’s face over Skylar’s lmao
This has been a hard season. I'm grateful for my and my family's health, but having my graduation effectively canceled and my wedding (which would have been in May) postponed had been really hard to stomach. It obviously pales in comparison to those suffering from the illness and serving on the front lines, but I've looked forward to Spring 2020 for quite a while for a number of reasons.
My partner and I are long distance (Canada/England) and when this all started we had already been apart for two months. She was supposed to come for a visit in May, then I was moving in June and it's all up in the air. I truly can't wait to see her. Being long distance sucks at the best of times, but it's been so exceptionally hard having our planned dates for closeness taken away and knowing that if she got sick or I did we wouldn't be able to get to each other.
I feel the same way with feeling that I can’t complain. I’m a senior in high school, and I’m missing out on prom/my graduation etc. It’s extremely upsetting, but my mom works in a hospital (not a nurse or a doctor), and she’s seeing people who are losing family members as well as their own lives. But I still feel upset over what I’m losing. I hope everyone who’s reading this is well.
To hang a heavy neon sign you could use those screw in hooks for like garage stuff they have all different finishes and then screw them into studs not dry wall cause if it's really heavy it will.just pull out and wall.anchors are notoriously awful for holding super heavy stuff, I know I have a huge iron sculpture an had it fall an almost impale me, so hopefully that helps, glad you are back, and yes a go pro on Bella!!!!!
Ahh she’s back!! 😍😍
Stephen out here breaking out some chem knowledge with “nomenclature”
