I have done that several times in my life

I remember driving around with my girlfriend in Highschool listening to this and when we heard that line she was just like “yeah no shit Brian lol” and I just said “sometimes it’s really hard for a man to admit that.” I remember she smiled a kind of choked up little smile and kissed my cheek. One of my favorite memories and it’s such a silly, simple little line that is so much more impactful than it seems at face value. At least to me.

With the line, "emotional babyboy, emotional man" being this teasing thing about how men handle their emotions, even thought later in life men's feelings are more encouraged to be bottled up if they aren't feeling angry or something.
Like, it doesn't matter what age you are, people have feelings, and in this song, it's a big thing to feel and communicate them
And then the part where in a whisper, despite being quiet about it, he is stronger than her dad by having that emotional moment and openness. I think it's implied that the dad wouldn't have said it out loud, and that's how he's stronger, even if only a little.

Emotional baby boy and emotional man are my favorite lines along with "I wanna be stronger than your dad was for your mom" they're sad, but also encouraging and sweet in my opinion, I love a guy who can be comfortable with his emotions, having angry outbursts is scary, but for just feeling emotions and not displaying them in a aggressive way is always okay.

See them. They put on an AMAZING show. It feels like a party. I went to the last show of one of their tours, and they had those wacky arm waving inflatable tube men, they shot confetti into the crowd, and they just let a bunch of balloons out on top of everybody and it was so fun. After the show, they came down to meet and everything and i got a vinyl signed by Brian, and a picture with him and they are seriously THE NICEST people. If you ever get a chance to see them in a small venue where you can get super close to them and meet them afterwards, do it. Seriously, that show was one of the best nights of my life.
