BRAVO!! I love this idea. I have some glorious vintage apples I've been trying to figure out how best to use them and then you release this brilliant video. We have a big apple harvest celebration here and I hope to create something similar. I really appreciate you going through your whole design and thought process and making use of offcuts and alternative materials. Also, when you did the bit about measuring for the wore frame then drew it out, it all clicked in that moment. The lessons learned at the end are so important in any project and most UA-camrs skip right over it.

Hello Claudia, I haven't heard of these metal structures, I shall have to look this up. I suspect if it was a metal structure it would have to have been thin sheet aluminium.

Hi Michal, yes! I like to try and conceal all hat fastenings - this works well for elastic held hats too!
I was wondering, with the cracked cherries..would red nail polish/varnish work. It would increase their lustre and help stabilise the cracks. Very nice straw form BTW....🙂
Hello Roxann, nail polish has been my first thought for this work in the past, but it depends on what the material showing through the cracks is. When I tried nail polish on some other cracked berries, it acted as a solvent and dissolved the inside of the berry even more! I haven't gotten round to figuring out what would work better, but I suspect a water based acrylic paint would work much better and be friendlier to the berries.
Since Carmen Miranda had been a milliner prior to her acting - she might feel its a good first attempt.

Not everyone can do that. Is the ramie that you use here the same ramie that I found on a fabric web site for clothing, do you think? I stumbled on the fabric by sheer chance the other day, and as soon as I can find a way to justify to myself buying some, I will. Well, let's see what's next, shall we. Yours, Ann
