- Painting line Robert Delaunay is about making concentric circles art. The Delaunay circles look like simple artwork and when you start painting concentric circles yourself you will find out it’s fun to do but also can be challenging. A few weeks ago I invited you to paint in their style. In this video I’ll show you how I also paint like Sonia Delaunay art and in a number of ways. I also show all the submitted artwork and share a line or two about what they encountered or did. Robert and Sonia Delaunay formed together with Frantisek Kupka the Orphism art movement, where color is the subject in abstract work. I hope you enjoy this modern art painting tutorial.

Materials
The art materials I use in the videos are not sponsored.
I prefer to work on multi-purpose paper, more info in this video: • How to choose the RIGH... In almost all my videos I use with Winsor&Newton Galeria acrylics, if not, I will say so in the video. Other materials I use are in random order: 5, 10 and 40mm brushes, palette knives, acrylics medium, Ecoline liquid watercolor, Lyra color pencils, Lyra soft pastels, oil pastels, Stabilo color pencils, paper palette pad and basic masking tape. I also use household items like a permanent marker, scrub sponge, scissors, paper towel, and so on.

I really enjoyed that. Everybody had such great ideas and put them into making their art. For whatever reason, I found it challenging, but would like to further think about this video and perhaps try more circle paintings. I was surprised that the Delaunay paintings were so huge in scope. I like your painting where you weaved the thread thru the circles. Thanks for the videos.

@@ImperfectPaintings this is a very good idea 😊, I have already experimented in one time with installing styropor cubes on carnavas and paint it. I remember a funny and impressive Installation of an old telefone (dialing disc 😉😂) in a carnavas painting in my old pub in Student times in the 90´ s… I will think about it, and start to collect packagings (my wife will have some fun 😉😎) . Bedankt, leuk om weer te zien. Hopelijk is je pot van beschikbare artiesten nog groot genoeg om afleveringen te maken. Anders doe je eentje over materiaal keuzes? Ik ben zelf overgestapt naar olieverf en dit past wel meer bij me. Acryl droogt me te snel en je kunt er minder mee ''spelen'' nadat het op het doek staat.
Hallo Jorn, bedankt. Haha, de pot met kunstenaars is vele malen groter dan iedereen denkt. De meeste mensen kennen alleen de heel bekende, maar er is zoveel meer. Olieverf werkt heerlijk, urenlang kun je erin werken. Maar voor mijn video's is het niet handig, dan werkt acryl beter om dat het sneller droogt. Ik heb anders erg snel ruimtegebruik in huis. Albert
@@ImperfectPaintings, ik zag nog geen van Max Ernst. Toch wel e e n van mijn favoriete kunstenaars. Vooral zijn Wald series zijn prachtig. Ik moet er in deze herfstdagen maar even uit om een mooi stuk boomschors te vinden voor een kunstwerk!
