Very cool visuals, and I think the effects seem balanced for the base game, it just seems like villager trades are way too expensive for unmodded or vanilla-like games.
The music from the intro is Echolocation - Laura Platt The rest of the video is the osts of Ori and the Blind Forest and Outer Wilds. Thanks for the nice words!!!
Harsh critique incomming I feel like the mod is neither modpack nor standalone material. Standalone what it provides as in terms of buffs and effects is lackluster by the time you manage to unlock all of it. meaning it's much more prefered to get a mending enchantment on your tools rather than using the spell. And in terms of modpacks well. It's lacking diversity. All the spells seen are outshined by ars naveu (I think thats how you spell it I forgot). All it has is the "equiniqueness" of "Hand gestures" which all truth be told are not hand gestures in a visually appealing sense. and the convolutedness it brings to the casting aspect along with the not fulfilling (in my opinion rewards). It's upsides: The circles are well drawn out (Visually appealing). The Book is well written it's a not a typical info book. and that scrolls don't get used up when you activate them (along with how they work) My suggestions: Visually and mechanically: Add 2 more gestures. Make it so the gestures are made with mouse movements in directions (and if you want add the option with key presses) The start of thet incantation (the first gesture) will have a diffrent form of designation For example: Up: Target's self Down: AOE targeting Circle: oponent targeting Triangle: Imbue scroll circle triangle: Imbue barrier field (reffering to the motions of the mouse not the actual hand movements) Each does what it says it does. If you make a mistake on the motions that's on you for being a bad spell caster. Now as for which spell you actually select you can keep the current system or extend the motion system by making it so any motion after the first restired one is to designate the spell. This makes it more difficult and repetitive so I would advise against it unless you can make it work fluently. It's quick visually rewarding and keeps the orginal premise of the mod while evolving it further. In terms of power balance: (again from what I saw it seemed lackluster so I'll keep this although I might be wrong on this part) You need to rework what the spells do in relation to what stage of the game a player can get access to them. For example if you require at least 4 iron and 1 diamond you should be dealing around diamond sword level damage and having iron pick level utility. AT LEAST. Remember this is a magic mod. And magic is quite costly (Im guessing to unlock spells you need to use some materials although I didn't quite understand how you unlock them.) If the player is going out of their way to ignore their commonly known method of playing the game to try the new thing they should be "rewarded" for doing so, not punished. Otherwise the mod is useless. In terms of general game balance this is not "good" but the alternative is that I have no motive to play the mod. I made this comment not to undermine your work. Quite the oposite in fact. I wouldn't have bothered to write all this if I thought you didn't have the skills to bring what I "ask" to fruition. The premise is good. And so is the execution. The problem was direction. somewhere along the way you didn't take the best road. you took the optimal one. Or at least that's what I feel like. Keep up the good work!
Seems fun, but i think that the secret rituals are underpowered to be the mods final reward. I think that by the point you get those rituals, they will be outclased by the vanilla mechanics, maybe with the mending one being useful but kind of slow
Yeah, hard pass... It's like if Mojang made this mod, it's so basic and empty... Better stick with Ars Nouveau for utility and Iron's Spell 'n Spellbooks for combat and movement. Great video tho, thanks for showcasing✌✨
you saw a mod with pre-made spells -iron's spellbooks rituals and chalk -occultism spell scribing onto casting items for easy casting -hexcasting and you decided to compare it to ars noveau?? the one where you dont even draw magic circles??? the one with modular magic????

Bro, thank u for the Outer Wilds music 😢❤️🔥
Weirdly reminds me of Magicka 2. Had a ton of fun accidentally killing me mates
acctually cool
Can you do a video on the Magic Evolved mod next? It's super underrated
this feels like a fabric mod I'm not gonna lie.
?
if you could animate the character to move the arms when you cast a spell i think itll be much more cooler
Of course i see this video after i start making a magic mod 😭
U should Try Scriptor Magicae mod
1:47 what the hell is that trade, 8 netherite blocks is the equivalent to 288 scraps. Even if you do cure him that's still really damn expensive.
Yes, that’s why the mod adds the Netherite Duplication ritual
@@mr_sar I was not aware, how difficult is it to pull off tho?
It’s not too difficult; it’s mostly a matter of time
goofy magic

@@TonyToedThe only one of all four mods I haven't played with is Occultism. But even then, Mana & Artifice has similar runic rituals.
@@mdbgamer556 it is similar but i dont think artifice has chalk variations
@@TonyToed yeah i was gonna say this eems more like bootleg iron spells/electrobob's wizardry lol
