Thank u very much for this amazing video Dino! I really liked this one and thought this was a different kind of video which I appreciate bc there needs to be a change in videos rather than it being “event breakdown” “pack opening” REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT! I like to see this original out of the box thinking for videos. Not many content creators have reached this level, but u have so that should be something you’re proud of! Seems within the last 2 days I’ve gotten to see some original stuff with u doing this and Thrash doing an nhl 24 event tier list with Burtkrown. Keep this amazing original content going! Loving it! (:
As we get into NHL 25 there will be more different content for sure, besides standard breakdowns and packs ( this will still always be a thing unfortunately ).
@@DinoKrista yea and I expect as much. So long as there is events in nhl this will remain the same, and that’s ok. Sometimes it just feels like that’s allllll that’s being posted and it’s nothing but a big ol fat headache. Seeing stuff like this is so nice and it’s a breathe of fresh air
i agree with you that HUT17 had by far the best card art. also the salary cap gameplay would be awesome but unfortunetly EA most likely removed it since it would negatively impact its card pack sales and their profit is their main goal.
I actually liked the salary cap. My 4th line on NHL 11 was DEL players and they played a shift or 2 but when I scored with them it was awesome lol. I just think overall salary cap allows for a variety of players making your lineup. Today everyone has the same players. They need to make bronze and silver players matter. They are a waste of space tbh.
I liked in 2014 and 15 where you had to put contracts on players to use them and they had fatigue and injuries. It was more rounded out because everyone mainly used just the top 2 lines and you could compete when they'd make mistakes by leaving their 3rd and 4th lines out too long. 😅
I think the problem with it was that consumables was too easy to get so it becomes just an action you needed to do ( apply ) and you never run. If we would only have limited amount of contracts it would maybe keep us more creative with who we apply it to
I was really curious to see how it evolved from day one and how it looks now. To be fair was expecting to be a longer video but the fact you could put 14 years in 10 minutes says a lot
Great job on your videos as always. I remember that hut app back from like 2013 when I would bid on players while I was at work. I wish they would bring that back.
I wish those pack openings from 11-14 would back. Just rip the pack, cards pop out and that's it. And that pile of cards we could shuffle. The current opening sucks (exploding packs and cards).
I think at some point we will see new pack animations as the current ones as you see are in the game for a lot of years already, not sure what the animations could look like but skate out by players would look cool, as far as we can skip them
The fact that this is 10m long and it has been 14 f*cking years is embarrassing. The gameplay is obviously different but not unrecognizably different. The game looks infinitely better. So, there’s that. Mode wise and options of how we play the game has taken a step back which over 14 years is NOT a good thing. Here’s to NHL 25 and it hopefully being one of the better games we have had in a while!

Also, thank you so much for kind words and feedback on video, will push me make more outside of the box content 🤗

True. Just fun to see how many good things we had in HUT and were taken away and how little was ever added back

I would like the salary cap in HUT now, we don’t have anything to push as actually build team! All we do now is put some cards in lineups and play
I personally think nhl 16 and nhl 17 had the best hut cards design ever
I would agree about NHL17
To be honest, I personally liked HUT in 17 a lot but maybe because I was new and everything felt cool 😅
Great idea for a vid. I started playing with NHL '97. I forgot which year I started in HUT.
Thank you! Never played HUT before NHL17 and looks like I didn’t missed a lot
@DinoKrista LOL. This is the deepest I ever dove into HUT. All offline, but super fun as a person that wanted to play real NHL hockey!
I hope for a good year of NHL25 too

@@DinoKrista Totally agree!!!
I was surprised when I first played NHL18 that HUT wasn't called NUT (NHL Ultimate Team), just as Madden is MUT and FIFA FUT.
I prefer HUT to be honest over NUT 😅 But understand where you are coming from. Thank you for watching the video, really appreciate it
Really interesting to see the evolution of this mode!

Same, why someone thought removing it was a good idea 🙂
@@DinoKrista it was probably too much for ea to keep up with is my thought 🤷♂️
2010s the game looked absolutely awful! Line chemistry, team chemistry, I LIKE THAT! Why this isn’t still a thing I have no earthly idea
Because probably someone complained and they took it out as other things
@@DinoKristaall that needs to be said > 🙄
I really enjoyed this video! An entire piece of history in one shot! I'll sub.
Thank you so much!
@@DinoKrista You're welcome 😊 🙏
Keep up the great work you are incredible.
Thank you so much. Will keep pushing
@@DinoKrista I know you will and if you do ever stumble or fall I'll be here lift you back up.

Great vid!
Thank you! 🤩
Great video you should also do one on Chel
I was thinking to do one for franchise mode maybe as well. Will, it takes some time to make one of them but like the idea
@@DinoKrista I'm sure you will do a excellent job
I have 4 weeks until NHL25 - have to kill a time somehow 😅

The current opening sucks (exploding packs and cards).
Same, simple and fast, no laggy animations
Looks like game has been the same for a long time lol
That’s what I seen as well. Pretty much what is happening is they remove something and add it back few years after and call it new 😅
Could NHL ever have walk out or something cool like on FC?
I think at some point we will see new pack animations as the current ones as you see are in the game for a lot of years already, not sure what the animations could look like but skate out by players would look cool, as far as we can skip them
@@DinoKrista Bc I feel like the pack animation is the same since the start kinda if you guys get what I mean?
It’s not, I did showed the pack animations from first game and yes it’s the same for long time but back in NHL 17 and before it looked different

Will do another down the memory lane in 10 years 😀 to see if hat has changed
@@DinoKrista I like it! Will it change, who knows. Hopefully it does! Fingers crossed 🤞 as they say
Hi Dino! How are you?
Hello 👋
Day is good so far, you?
@@DinoKristaDay is ok so far. Tired but going ok. Thanks for asking! (:
Just done with work so home I go to grind the content as my 2nd shift 😅
@@DinoKrista NICE! “Love to hear it!”
Pay to win. HUT has ruined the community
HUT even don’t get any love almost year after year. Micro transactions unfortunately is part of gaming industry in this age and it’s sad

Let’s go Maze. Thank you.
