      @@ziggystaff totaled her last month with 130k, nothing other than the fuel pump going bad and then the fuel pump module. Also needed a carbon cleaning it would struggle to start during the cold weather months but wasn’t an issue the last 6 months. Also mine started to burn oil after like 110k that’s common for Audi though, I would change the oil every 3k instead of 5k, sometimes would have to add oil in between but nothing bad. But I changed the oil myself so I saved money that way, got it at 78k it was done at 130k I’m gonna get one again eventually. Just make sure you have service records

    I recently saw a maroon colored one here in South Africa that is why I searched for details like this. It is suprising that that its engine must be rebuilt at such a low mileage, 🤔. I used to own an Audi A4 2.0T Man Fsi 2006 that I enjoyed driving so much. Powerful and comfortable. I bought it just when it was under 100 000 km, drove it for 8 years without any engine problems until I sold it at 234 000 km. If I can find another one with reasonable kms I would jump at buying it especially maroon colored. Thank you for the informative video. 👌👌👍👏

    You've just helped me lower my list, on buying a used car. I was tossing up between a Q5 diesel and an X3 diesel. I already own an A4 and gave it to my daughter for her 21st. So I think I'll stick with the Audi.

    • @eliteultra9
      @eliteultra9 5 років тому +2

      @@kahlilwilliams628 choose the Q5 , mexican here, audi will always be highly superior than BMW in the reliability department , cheaper maintenance, cheaper parts, good quality, reliable electronics and overall bettwr resale value, i've owned multiple premium cars and Mercedes are by far the most reliable up to 2012, with audi sitting in the middle and BMW at last due to really over complicated electronics and overenginering, so i highly recommend the Q5 or any other audi SUV except the Q7 over any BMW suv

    I would not recommend the 2.0 tdi 170hk made before 2012. It has a problem with the egr valve getting stuck and then the motor will take damage and start to leak oil. The only fix for the oil leak is to replace the engine... You can prevent this if you clean the egr, google it for instructions!
    Strangely enough is that VW and Skodas don`t have this problem on the TDI 170hk, just Audi A4 and Q5.

    FANTASTIC REVIEW! I own a 2016 Audi Q5 and I absolutely love it! It’s such a beautiful car and so fun to drive. One issue that I have sometimes with it is the Bluetooth, when on phone calls it can sound scratchy. I asked an Audi dealership about it here (in the United States) and they said it’s about $3000 to have them replace it. Doesn’t mean you can’t get it done somewhere else cheaper but it only happens SOMETIMES and usually if I end the call and call back it will be fine. Just a weird glitch but def not worth $3000 to replace. Also sometimes the Bluetooth can be slow to connect to my phone. Again, not all the time, just sometimes. I don’t have any kids so it is a great size for me. I’d think if you have kids you’d want something bigger like the Q7.

    I'm buying a 2013 Q5 2.0TFSI with 159k kms. I've been looking at the records...what fluids would you change if this was you? It runs like a top and I've had it checked out mechanically. There is some sweat on the oil seal but everything in engine bay is dry. Also, if someone had a krown oil spray, will that void the factory 12 year rust protection warranty? I only drive about 10,000 kms/year and so love the ride of the premium plus. Do you recommend Winter tires...I'm in Southern Ontario? It has 19" but I was thinking of putting 17" or 18" winters on...thoughts? And oil changes...Im planning every 7k kms at costco....by the way the cheapest spec oil change price around. Will frequent oil changes at 7-10k kms prove to make these vehicles longer lasting. I want to drive mine for 6-7 years at 10k kms/year. Any thoughts advice on maintenance much appreciated.

    I own the 2016 TSFI 2 litre 8 speed auto S-tronic gearbox version. Yes, the servicing and repair cost is high, be prepared. My worst case was full engine overhaul with all piston change, timing belt and all parts inside engine change to new ones. This was due to engine oil lever keep dropping horriblily fast . Well, if u want to own this kind of car, best u have a trusted long relationship car workshop boss which will tell us, the owners the truth and which repair was needed. I was lucky to have a good relationship with my long known workshop which did my previous Mercedes. (My previous Mercedes needs less repair compared to this Audi Q5). But once all major repair done, it's a great SUV, comfortable yet great power, strong performance car in my life. I'm a TV broadcast cameraman, i load many equipment on the trunk and it brings carried me and gears to jobs.

    Id never in a zillion years buy another audi ! Paid top dollar for a used one drove 6 months and started piling money into it and it hasnt stopped. So far ive bought over 6000 in parts and my son put it all in for me. Paid close to 25k for a q5 that wont sell for 7000 now. To make matters worse they are not mechanic friendly they are impossible and impractical to work on . Replaced the low psi in tank fuel pump 2 times the high pressure pump once on motor , replaced map sensor, evap valve, all the gaskets on the motor cause most were leaking everywhere, replaced blower motor , blower motor capacitor, battery twice, starter , alternator car is once again apart for another starter you have to take a motor mount off to replace the starter what a crappy piece of engineering that is, replaced coil packs , replaced 3 relays, windshield wash motor is not working need to replace that as well, ive driven it a total of 7000 miles drove my 2000 honda 20 years it always ran always drove never once left me stranded. Audi is a total discrace to the automotive world riddled with so many problems i wouldnt wish one on my worst enemy !

The worst was the ECU got water in it (they placed it right under the windshield). Wheel bearings. Fuel pressure sensor. Coolant leaks and new pump. Fans stopped working and I got tired of it and sold it. Luckily, I sold it quickly due to the car demand. Never again euro trash.

The CV boots will crack at 9 years of age. On our 2007 landcruiser Prado they also were just replaced and just lasted 10 years. I have the 6 speed auto in the Audi, it is very reliable and it gets serviced every 50,000klms with fully synthetic oil. I have owned about 10 cars so far and this SUV will be kept in the family. It is a real assert. Everything just works as it should. I have the 4.2 litre twin turbo V8 diesel, really good for towing a van. It just tows like the van is not even there.
