Love John Hughes and I cherish many of his 80's films but once he got past Home Alone in 1990 the quality of his work started to fall off. I think he had already written and directed the stories he wanted to tell and that his heart was really in. In the 1990's he was clearly just cashing in for the bucks and this movie was an example of that after the Home Alone success Hollywood wanted him to keep making similar films. And his 80's Teenager films had run their course by now as well as the John Candy films.
