Caught speeding by Ukrainian Police! -

On the most recent trip to Ukraine I think we had the car God's against us. We received two speeding fines in Ukraine and one in Moldova (another story). This one we had only just crossed the border at Siret in Northern Romania and were just getting settled for the 8 hour drive to #Kyiv and got stopped within 3kms of the crossing at Porubne!
We have learnt from this though :). Ukrainian traffic police are good at their job, always polite after catching you, but sneaky :) They really position themselves well in these small zones in between larger speed limits. The fines are not that much, around 10 Euro and you pay on the spot, they conveniently have a POS terminal 😁, or you pay at the border when you leave. Its just another form of donation to help Ukraine during the war 😅.
Some of the footage is driving to the border and through the town of Radauti on the Romanian side and then into Ukraine, with the video ending in the town of Kam'yanets'-Podil's'kyi. We affectionately call it the bumpy road town, but it saved us this time, we found a bancomat (ATM) to get some cash out and found the patriotic kebabs!

We tried my friend but they showed us the camera and video and said all is recorded and we can't delete it. They were not bad at all, good attitudes, but yeh pain in the ass as they were in very sneaky places😁. Thanks for comments...next time I go through Pitesti probably in May, have a friend coming from Australia, will try hook up for a coffee or a beer! O weekend placut 👍🤜

Cool Video thank you. there were road signs showing a speed bump up ahead, if they not observant or drank too much Vodka then they deserve the front of the car being removed lol
Some of the roads look like south African roads half kept, but its good to see an effort, here the government is so corrupted and the locals so lazy nothing gets done.

😅 yeh I agree. I think the war will have the benefits of uniting Ukraine, creating more of an awareness around corruption etc after it ends and it won't be tolerated and there will be a lot of money injected, so hope things get better. I gather you are in SA from your comments, its tragic what has happened to that country and I won't speak politically here but I think you know what I mean.
