The Sorcerer is very obscure respect to his backstory and appearance (until you see his concept art). But I think he is actually an interesting villain, with his intent of bring the shadow realm to surface and trap everyone else on it. And yeah he looks a lot like Malefor, maybe even have some similarities. I think the Sorcerer's past may be related heavily with the elders, as why he chose Red for his bidding to destroy them. And I think he would have a bigger role in a new game, maybe that he was who "revived" old enemies, as part of his plan to domain the Dragon Realms, and respect to Spyro, here I am intrigued by how both are purple dragons, able to cross among the normal and shadow realms freely (with Spyro using that stone) and that makes me thing they would try to explore about the purole dragon's importance, much like in The Legend of Spyro. Still, he is so mysterious, that theorize about him is all speculation. Great video! About time we get to know about the last supreme villain in the OG Spyro games.
Honestly it DOES make me wonder what they're going to do for a new Spyro 4, there's a lot to consider. I feel like what they MIGHT do is do a total remake of Enter the Dragonfly but actually make it good. I'd also like it if they could maybe bring in elements from the Legend and Skylanders timelines/eras/versions. Especially when you find out that early versions of Enter the Dragonfly pretty much has elements that were going to be in it, but eventually were reused in later installments, notably there being an evil dragon as the main antagonist. Plus they reused Malafor and Cynder later on in the Skylanders show/canon and pretty much adapted their Legends' plot beats, I feel like they could do the same again for a new Spyro 4 for a "Reignited Timeline" where it's a combo of all 3. Granted I don't know how to go about Elora and Cynder in relation to who should be Spyro's girlfriend. I'm partial to Spyro and Cynder, but they leaned into the Elora ship despite it not being present in the original versions of the first trilogy. (Plus not to mention they dropped the Elora aspect early on and we got Ember who I THINK were trying to make his girlfriend in A Hero's Tail, as far as how to do her, I'd say hook her up with Flame instead of Bandit) So the only thing I can think of for the "Elora and Spyro" bit is to make it into a respectable "no" to where we get a new version of Blink and have him be Elora's love interest considering that realistically she would know him pretty well due to being related to the Professor. But he would need a decent overhaul to make him actually GOOD if he is going to be a playable character. Plus give him a better chance to be a decent character and not locked to basically a Saturday morning cartoon plot/tone that A Hero's Tail had. But I'm not sure how people on the whole would feel about this, like I said I'm more partial to Spyro and Cynder, but I'm not fully aware or sure if Elora was MEANT to originally be Spyro's love interest. The og cutscenes feel like they give off the idea of him NOT being into her so I doubt they meant for the ship, but I'd also want to respect the opinions of the people that like the ship presented in Reignited. I'm really torn on this topic.
Oh yeah, I've been waiting for this video ever since I found your channel. Not many people know about the Sorcerer, but his character has potential to really expand the Spyro series. He already kinda did that by being the inspiration for Malefor, which in turn inspired the Legend series. The Sorcerer wouldn't even be that difficult to bring into the Reignited timeline. His physical appearance as The Stranger should be saved for the next game after the new Spyro 4, but his presence should be hinted at through creepy easter eggs in the new Spyro 4. Imagine we get a new villain and they use dark magic to corrupt all the gems, causing the lands to transform into corrupted versions of themselves. Spyro and his squad of playable characters have to restore the lands by purifying gems and defeating bosses. This will give Toys for Bob the freedom to make their own mark with Spyro 4, while planting seeds for the next 2 games. We find out at the end that the main villain was being supplied and empowered by someone, a cutscene shows a shadowy figure maniacally laughing as he looks at his machine being built. The game after that has the Ripto Gnasty team up teased in Year of the Dragon, with everyone wondering how they came back after Spyro saw them die. They use dark gems to empower themselves and their minions, which prove to be immune to most magic except Light and Dark elements. That's when we get The Stranger helping us throughout the game. In exchange for Aether gems(the orbs/eggs of this game), he'll teach Spyro Dark element abilities to fight against Ripto and Gnasty. On the flip side, we have Bianca, the Faeries and the Magic Crafters teaching Spyro Light element abilities by giving them dark gems to purify. The whole game's theme would be Light and Dark, with Spyro unknowingly going down the same path as The Sorcerer did when he was his age. The game ends with Ripto and Gnasty near death and teleported to the Shadow Realm by the Sorcerer, who reveals himself from his Stranger persona and explains how he was behind everything for the 2 games. He foreshadows the next game and disappears, leaving us with a foreboding cliffhanger. The next game would just be Shadow Legacy but on a much more conclusive and grand scope.
Awesome I like The Sorcerer he's my most favorite Spyro Villain and he should be in the new Spyro 4 too and give him a demonic voice similar to Malefor's keep his four winged huge dragon form and give him a bigger role as the true main antagonist of The Spyro Videogame Series and Spyro voiced by Tom Kenny too. I would love to see The Shadow Realms return too and even Flame and Ember with much bigger roles this time and make them playable in game along with Spyro since we barely got to know them more and we barely saw them at all and I would love to see Spyro 4 go darker edgier and more serious.
I can't say much about the Sorcerer because I played more of the Legend series and didn't know much about the Sorcerer but I just want to say I love your content they're very interesting keep up the good work :)
I think The Sorcerer was one of the few characters that was reworked into the Legend of Spyro reboot. And it's kind of obvious what character he turned into in said reboot.
goddammit the sorcerer is the most intriguing character in spyro lore for the main series legend of spyro copied this but want to see him return as a villian in spyro 4 please beenox or whoever is making spyro 4 wanna see a return of the sorceress
I have a Theory about where The Sorcerer could live, while in his Final Form the tail of the Sorcerer has a jewelry that seems similar to the one that Ripto had around his neck, it's possible that The Sorcerer lives either in or near Ripto's World, I know this seems too dark, but I believe that he has killed Ripto, it seems the more plausible Theory on why he has Ripto's Jewel. Also, since The Sorcerer has almost been killed by Spyro, my Theory is that either Spyro or Red would have killed him, Spyro is surely eager to defeat him at the end of Shadow Legacy, and Red would do that for Revenge on what he did to him, even though it's never mentioned, I believe that Red is very angry with him and can't wait to deal and win against him. If there will be a Sequel of Shadow Legacy, I believe that The Sorcerer would Brainwash someone again, I think he wouldn't Brainwash Spyro because he is a Purple Dragon and, probably, he knows that Spyro is Immune to his magic, and he wouldn't Brainwash Red because he (Red) mentioned that The Sorcerer nearly drained all of his Magic, thus Red would have little to not use for The Sorcerer. However, all the other Characters are vulnerable to his Brainwash Magic, if I was him, I would choose Titan because he is much more Arrogant and Aggressive whenever he talks, if The Sorcerer gives him precise instructions, Titan may act as a Spy for him (I suppose that if Spyro and his Friends make progress, the Council of the Elders would be the first one to know), plus, it seems that Titan is the Leader of the Peace Keepers, he could give them wrong orders in order to hinder Spyro's progress, and, probably the other Characters would not realize that he has been Brainwashed until towards the End of the Game. Last but not least is the fact that, after he would be freed from The Sorcerer's control, he would understand how Red felt, thus giving another possible method for him to forgive Red. Anyway, I'm impressed you choose to talk on him, I think that your hard work is always Excellent, so, congratulations again for this. Actually, sorry if I make this Out Of Topic Question, I wanted to know, if you were to put a Super boss in a Spyro Game, how much you would make his/her/its Fight last? I would do something like 10+ Hours, but maybe is too much for anyone?
How about instead of Titan he manipulates Elora into being his herald? She's basically the leader of Avalar and that would give the Sorcerer a lot of resources. They can make it so in an almost meta sense, Elora was ignored and pushed to the side over time in favor of Bianca by her friends. She would feel neglected and become depressed, which The Sorcerer uses to his advantage. It wouldn't even be brainwashing on his part, she joins him willingly because he promises(He's a dragon of his word) she'll get her revenge on the people who hurt her and she can be with Spyro. So the overly nice girl they turned Elora into for Reignited becomes the Queen of Mean, a villain that Spyro will have problems facing since she's a friend and he doesn't want to hurt her.
@@heartless2147 It's a good idea, but I wonder if, in your opinion, Elora would turn against The Sorcerer after acknowledging what he has done, even though she would have been manipulated by him, I don't think that she would totally lose her previous Personality.
@@loreofthedragon Well, I understand that it is very long, but Superbosses are usually meant for Hardcore Players, I think that, even though this seems too much, there will surely be some Players that would give a try to something like this, maybe it could be a "Supreme Superboss" ? Anyway, I would keep it away from the Trophies List, so that, should be a Hidden Superboss, Players would have to find it by themselves ( though I know that, eventually, someone will always post a Online Guide) . Last but not least, I think that the Character that will be the Supreme Superboss should be Overpowered, just for making things extremely hard for anyone.
Shot in the dark here from a lore perspective, but technically you could say this super boss was something from the shadow realm? Something from even before the Sorcerer became a threat?
I never got to play a few of these games because they weren't on playstation, I wonder if there's talk of remaking these too? Maybe in another bout of games, enter the dragonfly, a heroes tail and the ones on nintendo and gameboy

The sorcerer is like the ‘OG’ version of Malefor. Instead of Cynder, it was Red who was corrupted.
"Classic" Malefor LOL
Glad I'm not the only one who thought of that
I like the use of the A Hero’s Tail music in the video. 😉👌
