the bright white is what people need to have on high beams. It helps keep you alert and stops melotonin from releasing to make you sleepy. Those more yellow softer colors arent as safe for night time driving because it allows you to become sleepy. I changed out my yellow high beams to white because of this.
I thought the same but I read somewhere the warm white was supposed to keep you from getting drowsy.
Not sure who figured that one out
@@OutNAboutAustralia neuroscience has show white light stops melatonin releasing which is what helps get the brain ready for first stage of sleep. It’s the last hour of sleep is where serotonin receptors get recharged.
White light makes the thalamus send signals to the limbic system to be attentive. Warm yellow light doesn’t.
Noice. Bloody powerful, 130W each for LED! With the slight offset (good idea), back in my rally days, we had 4 spotties - the left one set to the rightish, the right set to the left so you get a peek around corners and the middle two up and down to see up and down crests. Good to see companies supporting small channels
Thanks Don, sounds like the rally setups would’ve been mint back in the day.
We’re these mainly halogens?
Nah, this was back in the late 80's, so normal globes @ 100W, H1's I think. Cibie Super Oscars. Seemed good enough light at the time, but the LED's now would help a lot. Except for the dust following the previous car on dry windless nights, no hope seeing anything haha. We could ask for "dust time", 2 minutes extra to try and let it settle. This is in WA
Can you compare LightFox laser with Stedi type x pro?
If I run across someone running them mate, I'll do what I can to compare the 2.
How would you wire this up with 6 Gang switch
Hey mate not really sure what kind of switch your meaning.
I aim my 42"&32"stedi light bars centre of road & the two 9" rounds at oncoming traffic for the shit bags that flash me when I'm on lows, I just flick them up and leave them up, especially the F/H truckies
Sounds the goods mate.
Nothing worse than being high beamed for nothing.
You running led globes in a reflector headlight by chance?
Hey mate, Did you get them directly from Lightfox or via a dealer/retailer? Sent Lightfox a sales enquiry via email like 7 days ago and still haven't received a reply to date...
I got mine through VicOffroad mate.
I got them here geni.us/LightfoxLEDLights
@@OutNAboutAustraliacan these be sent to the USA?
@anthonykontos7931 as far as I’m aware they are mate.
@@OutNAboutAustralia awesome thank you so much for the feedback back can’t make up my mind on what to buy
Are these 24 volt compatible?
Hey mate, yep 24V should be fine. The have a voltage range of 12 - 30V DC.
You are going to have fun removing the fuse box lid 🤣. i had mine setup up like that & it was a pain in the ass.
Tell me about it! I still can't believe there aren't any good flat surfaces around the battery to mount a relay!
Might have to look at fabbing something up
I like them but wish they came in black with no orange
Hey mate, the orange rim is actually removable and the kit has a black replacement included.
@OutNAboutAustralia then there perfect! Ordering a set now, thanks so much for the video and the extra info
@kyfisher3662 no worries mate. Glad I could help 🤙🏽
I just actually want them so I can deter other motorists who refuse to dip their lights if your headlights aren't LEDs. Headlight in the car are perfectly adequate as they are so I don't need them for the added light volume, just to control arrogant motorists.
I'm a shift worker and a truckie driving tankers. Many times my shifts start or finish around 4:00am. I'm so tired of having 10/10 lights in trucks but no driving light on my car. Fully 60% of other motorists in the morning, including other truck drivers and even bus/coach drivers just will not dim their bloody lights. Even police won't dim their lights particularly when stationary on the side of the road with no flashing lights. I rarely have problems in trucks, I just high beam them and they comply with the law.
Well I can confirm mate, they’ll definitely get people to dip they’re high beams when they’re coming toward you 😂
