Bicycling Minnesota's Mesabi Trail Day 5, Grand Rapids to Taconite (June 12, 2023)

Ever since I started creating UA-cam videos I have wanted to return to the Mesabi Trail. I consider this to be the crown jewel of our many wonderful bicycle trails in Minnesota. Our fifth and final day of riding was a quick morning ride on the section of trail from Grand Rapids eastward to Taconite.

How are the bugs this time of year. Once at lake Itasca (start of the Mississippi River) deer flies tormented us as we rode the park roads in the area.

Not too bad this year, the drought must have diminished the numbers. Usually you have to keep moving in early June to keep the bugs at a distance. Thanks for watching.
