Lol imagine if the rest of the world was binding their time and would carpet bomb Paradis within a 100 years only to havea Beren tier sequel bait. What a fucking nightmare that would be
That is the why I love this show so much one of the only few shows where rewatching it when a new season comes out somehow makes the other season even better
Because no one thought there were actually gonna be people outside the walls in the beginning I thought this shit was about straight titans, and eren saving the world turns out my man ended the world. Shit was a mind fuck but I didn't like the ending tbh but oh well.
Damn is it possible that Armin saw a glimpse of Eren committing the rumbling? This looks exactly like when Eren’s in the sky with his arms out envisioning the rumbling as freedom while Armin’s behind him watching in horror. That’d be fucking crazy considering in the path the future, present, and past are all happening at the same time.
He was probably afraid of Eren’s state of mind considering they were surrounded by military soldiers. “I’ll kill them all” Armin might think he would really kill those soldiers if his life and Armin’s and Mikasa’s lives depended on it
This is why I don’t get why people don’t like the ending. Eren has experienced hell and back and somehow people think he turned into a villain? Imo the manga is perfect and everything happened as it should

@@sonwalrez2842 "isayama even admitted he had another ending planned similar to the mist, but was convinced by his editor to change it at the last minute." This is straight up false. It's hard to take anyone who claims this seriously given a single Google search or any attempt to verify this could have saved you this misunderstanding. Isayama talked about his "The Mist" ending in interviews that were released in 2017. You know, the same year that we got Ch. 90. Somehow, changing the ending before the final 50 chapters is considered "a last minute forced retcon by the editor". The "The Mist" ending that Isayama describes is not even the one you seem to be rooting for. Isayama describes how akin to the ending of "The Mist", the main character's actions would be revealed to be useless or futile. That killing everyone else wouldn't solve anything and the cycles of violence would continue regardless. He does claim that his new ending wouldn't be as dark, but in the same interview (in 2017), Isayama talks about how Eren has psychopathic tendencies and selfish compulsions. Isayama asks the question whether a murderer could be blamed for his actions if he was just born that way. We see this in 139 when Eren ponders on why he was willing to cross the line and commit such atrocities and he says he doesn't know why he is the way he is - he thinks he was just born that way. I think the ending has a fair share of criticisms, but there's no need to straight-up spread lies and misinformation. There was no "last-minute retcon by the editor". You can find interviews online from 5-6 years ago (even Reddit threads from back then discussing the interviews) where Isayama talks about changing the ending and some of his reasons to do so.
@@sonwalrez2842 bruh c'mon, Eren's dream to achieve absolute freedom was just a childish desire. For achieving absolute freedom, you have to abandon your humanity and become a perfect being, become a god, which is practicality impossible for a human being. This shows that even if you try to run away from your past, you can't run away from your regrets, because you are a human. Eren was gone too far from his humanity and sanity, he finally came back where he belonged to in Chapter 139. I mean the ending isn't even that bad, yeah its obvious character assasination becauce people started idolizing a racist genocidial gigachad maniac. But other than its its a solid 4-3/10, thats only if you remove that god-forsaken last chapter and the mikasa kissing erens fucking dicapitated head like some warhammer khornite cultists, which somehow stopped ymir from building sandcastles in the Paths. Heres my idea, MAPPA take notes. Remove the dumb nihlistic point of "well everything was meaningless", remove the fucked up mikasa kissing erens LOPPED OFF head, flesh out Ymir as an actual antagonists (which she 100% is), and yeah.
