- Join us as we head to Butlin's Minehead Resort in this series of vlogs! In this video we share everything we got up to on the second day of our holiday, including our review of the awesome Splash Waterworld. We also hire karts and take a tour around the resort including a closer look at some of the other accommodation. We also enjoy the fairground at night, watch some fantastic entertainment and much more!

it would be awsome if Butlins got a small ish coaster like a pinfari or something
They used to have a powered coaster which was quite fun however it would be great to see them add a new one!
I remember when Butlins in Pwllheli, now a Haven, having a Boomerang in the late 80’s early 90’s.
The one in Wales used to have a Boomerang. Used to love going to that one.
I went 30 years ago as a kid, had a small rollercoaster back then, laser quest arena, cable cars and a monorail. Looks like it's changed a lot, Beachcomber used to be a big bowling, sport and arcade area, that's where we all used to meet up with friends we'd made on the holiday.

I have stayed in the west lake village as I was upgraded when I went in December 2023 from a standard 3 bed apartment. They are very nice I would definitely recommend them.

Hired a house in high town over the New Years with great views over the whole of minehead .I was surprised that on New Year’s Eve there was barely any fireworks going off anywhere so it was a nice surprise to see them on New Year’s Day
I found it funny when Charlotte was controlling the stealing and you controlling the bell on the go karts at 1:59. 9:32

Went to one of these during an adult only weekend. Seemed like some swinger get together which was not something we were looking for. We found out what leaving a chair out front your shally means… lol.
I really enjoyed watching day one and two! I used to go to Butlins Skegness when I was a child too, so lots of familiar places (even though it's a different location). Keep up the great work both of you!

I love Butlins Minehead go every year
In the Butlins skyline's wilderness lives magestic endangered creatures. Look, There's one now...The magestic lesser spotted Redcoat. 😉😉😎😎
We stayed in a new on the water chalet for the just for tots break in 2021, as quiet and gorgeous it is, with a 10 month old baby and a 4 year old (he turned 4 whilst we were there) it took us forever to walk to the skyline and food/entertainment areas. Justin fletcher, the little mermaid pantomime and Thomas the tank shows were great that week though.
They are quiet far back, however they look great!
Crazy thing is where your stood right at the beginning I passed out there crazy how your standing there ❤ big fan off!

I am going to butlins skegness this year in May with my family. Can't wait. Always gone to skegness and loved it. I've been to Minehead one but didn't really enjoy it that much 😊

I waited until the second vlog to comment. I had no idea these Butlin places were so big. It reminded me of some film studios Pinewood or MGM. Walk With Me Tim did do a vlog once on the Butlins at Bognor Regis and I remember thinking the same there. Great vlog from the Dino carts made for great entertainment. Glad you had a great New Years Eve celebration. That Queen band certainly had the audience going. Not a fan of Coldplay or Ed Sheeran either, (sends me asleep). I had a chance to meet Ed back in 2018 as he was in my hometown at a local cinema premiere of the movie “Yesterday”, which was partly filmed where I live. Superb vlog guys and best wishes for 2023 and I cannot wait for your massive Singapore and Australia trip.👍👍👍

As a Dutchie I'd never even heard of Butlin's. To me it looks like a low budget Center Parcs, but with way better entertainment.
I think you actually did the right thing with your simple accommodation, sometimes when expectations are lower holidays are that little bit better, and I was really surprised how big Minehead was, and the entertainment truly is non stop, and Scampi Chips and Peas was a bit different from the usual fare you choose! Have the best trip to Singapore, Australia and Malaysia - Don't forget your mini fan Charlotte

Me and my mate had stayed in one of the lake side apartments last year, they are a very nice place to stay in very relaxing waking up in the morning sitting on the decking with a coffee and watching the west Somerset railway going by
We are going back again this jan 20th for an adult only weekend but this time we are staying in the apartments by studio 36 and after staying there this time it will be safe to say we have stayed around every part of the park

I went to butling 1 month ago! It was fun
We have just come back from Butlins Minehead having spent Christmas there,and it was TERRIBLE.. We have been going there for the last 10 years and it's always been amazing I used to recommend it to friends and family but after this Christmas and the way we were treated never again. I would call it Pontins.. It spoilt my children's Christmas especially my daughter, she has autism. We had a member of staff come to the apartment smelling of alcohol and lose his temper and wave a Stanley knife around but no management phoned the following day to ask if we were ok. When I asked to speak face to face with a manager I was refused. Christmas Dinner we had to queue and eat separately and not as a family, but they wasn't bothered. Thanks very much...

Holiday Parks are not a holiday without a Hire shop, 1:00. Charlotte is in charge, drivers rules, 3:30. I think the lad in grey knows you as he most probable watch you vlog, 11:20. lol, if there blame there is a claim, Shawn, 13:15. Where you on safari at Butlins, 14:42 I pictured the screen. Above the dinner and the Art and craft is the old pool, 15:50. The beachcomber was a name from a passed club a Butlins in the 80s, 21:25. Thank you Shawn and Charlotte for day two vlog.

We usually just pay as we go!
Hi Ellen, if you are there with the kids the dining package is worth considering as you get all you can eat breakfast and dinner each day included.

Another interesting and good vlog, really enjoyed and look forward to seeing vlogs from Australian series vlogs. Can't wait, would love to one day go to Australia, one dream place to visit & go on holiday to. Have a good time & look forward to seeing all POV's, vlogs and clips featured from trip on both this channel aswell Sambrooke Adventures. Fireworks looked amazing, good selection of soundtrack that fitted well with the fireworks 100%. Entertainment in this video is good, I mean puppet show ideal from what I saw for families, with the castle stage theme, Pantomime sounds good aswell via review, would of loved to have seen highlights of it, but oh well. It is what it is I suppose, Ed Sheeran impersonator I think was doing quite well, sung songs really good I think, shouldn't though sing different songs from other artists though that are not sung by Ed Sheeran himself. Bit disappointed about that to be honest, show at the end of video with musicals were very good, thought singing was a bit quiet, maybe a mic problem from Butlins? Not really sure? But dances were very good, bike could of done with a better theming, but overall all good video. Cheers again and look forward for more videos soon. Still think and hoping for a rollercoaster here like Fly as think it would be epic 100%. But well see lol. 😀👍

What is it with uk resorts and seaside getaways there expensive and to be brutally honest they look dated and run down need maintaining better for the prices they charge
We got a great deal on this stay!
Even if you buy butlins so called cancellation insurance you will never get a full refund as I found out when I had to cancel because after an 18 month wait I was finally contacted by the NHS regarding the major surgery I need and butlins refused to give me a full refund. Take my advice and use another holiday company. Butlins are awful and just want your money.

Random butlins fact: Butlins minehead from 1986 to 1998 was called somerwest world then the company invested 139 million to upgrade the sites .
