Bro, I'm so glad to see you back up on the vids. The hook gap explaination makes a lot of sense. I'm about to get get my butt right out in this cold too!
I have asked so many times, but this was the best explanation of how radar works. I have an analytical mind and need to know how it works and could never find out. Thanks.
Just my 2 cents, I have used Spearpoints brand recently and really liked the catch ratio, but I have used Trapper brand forever and I seemed to catch more with them. And I totally agree with the EWG brand. MUCH love to you and your family and thank you for all you do!
great video. My dad and I got a new boat, fish finder, trolling motor all that stuff. been hittin it hard lately and we found two or three spots with just huuuuge pockets of bass. but they are all down around 20-35 feet. we just couldn't get them. i tried dropping a senko down with no weight but think it just kinda floated around down there instead of sinking. Subscribed!
Dude I'm with ya.. I'm so use to beating the bank or cranking on points is as deep as it gets for me... Of course I don't have 1500$ panodix. Yes I'm jealous AF... Lol. Scott Martin says here he comes... Let me just pop it in his mouth real quick.. SMH
@@briannauss2728 I have the new lowrance elite FS with the active target transducer ordered, just not installed yet. I hope it helps me figure out the channel swings out. I’ve spent hours out there with no luck lol
I've received a few packs from my monster bass subscription, and from the times I've used them, I don't have a single negative to say about em... great video man.
Brother Brian, Just how big a fish was you planning on catching that you felt the need might arise that you needed to beat him with a dog gone tire iron to get him in the boat
Awesome winter BASS fishing thanks for the information on winter BASS fishing I normally don't fish winter I used to when I fished my BASS TOURNAMENT bk in the 80's and 90's
You do a good job explaining what your doing..why... And what is happening... Nice Video...... I just subscribed..looking forward to watching more... thank you..
most of the time I run a 1/0 owner mosquito for nose hook dropshot. I don't typically rig it weedless unless I'm powershotting. 9/10 times I throw a dropshot, it's a tiny swimbait nose-hooked... Keitech fat swing impact 2.8-3.3 or a smaller, finessier, swimbait (lots of threadfin and tiny baitfish in my waters) Appreciate the honesty and lack of marketing. - I think 3/0 and 4/0 EWG hooks don't really have the problem with what you called "wallowing" (prolly spelled that wrong but you know what I'm saying), but idk... I think it's personal preference... Some guys say EWG hooks have better hook-to-land ratios on the big girls, I think it's what you like or what you learned first is typically what a guy will prefer
Just started watching your stuff. So far you may be my favorite UA-cam fisher because after every catch including dinks you dont start freaking out and yelling "LET'S GO BABY WEEEEEEEEW" like other Florida you tubers you may encounter
I bought some of those spearpoint gp finesse hooks on tackle warehouse a few months back and haven’t used another hook since! The hook up ratio is near perfect and as B lat just showed they work amazing for dropshot and neko, but you wanna see em really perform... wacky rig.
Love the videos man.. what I would love to see is a video explaining once you have idled over and identified fish on your graphs how do you stop and position your boat to where you just mark those fish That's something I have a big problem with.
Hey Brian got a question, what would be the best rod to pair the lews Hypermag with, I’m thinking a 7’2 just would like to know the best rod brand wise and such. Nothing too expensive, under $200. Thanks!
I like how you said before you grew up with your pops fishing vertically with spoons and a flasher and you are doing the same but with new technology and techniques
I just got some of those hooks in my last MTB! They are bigger though, like a 3 or 4 i think.. (they are in my tackle box so I really don't know) Haven't been able to get out just yet to try them out but this video seems to be doing that for me! Lol thanks BLat! Edit: correction, they are coming in the next MTB.. lol so I don't even have them yet but can't wait to finish the video and see what they are like to use!
Dude, I was kayak fishing today, in my aruba 10 sea dolphin lol don't laugh, I'm broke lol I seen a legit at least 12 pound bass rite next to me. We locked eyes for a second and it went into the deep. 100 percent it scared me lmao but I que didn't know how to fish deep for him thanks for the vid
Unfortunately I could nothing with the deep fish. The bait was stacked 30’ and better. I knew I was in trouble. So I cranked points, picking up a 2-3 pound small mouth. So much fun. Then picked up a 5 pound large mouth cranking ledges. I did experiment more on speed. I cranked the snot out of it and she took it. That sums up 10 hours of my life😂😂😂. I did try a spoon for a bit. No takers.
@@danielyourko1714got to love the smallmouth thou good fighters funny thing was I was actually trying to catch crappie that day i just happened to stumble on school of bass that deep so said the hell with crappie
Yo B Lat what’s the best way to stop your Z man plastics from melting down in the summer? I ruined like 10 bags last season in my boat from the heat. Is there a way to counter that?
What's the deepest you've ever caught a spotted bass. Mine 70ft at Smith lake in bama. I was sitting in 130ft and saw the school on my 2D and dropped a little George and jigged it until I got him
My cranking combo is the only setup I spool with straight fluoro. Everything else is braid or braid to mono or fluoro leader because I have a bad habit of getting excited and rushing my cast, which often gives me an overrun. With the braid, I can get a backlash out no matter how bad it is and the line is fine when I'm done. If you're going to make the switch, just remember that braid has virtually no stretch, it floats, and it's visible to line shy fish. These things can be good or bad depending on your situation.
I think you have a win coming at either Eufaula or west point this year. I can feel it.
West Point or Rayburn!
I used the Z man Ned Rig for the first time Sunday and I am very impressed with it and how it caught fish in the cold water

EWG is a type of hook bend, all brands sell extra-wide gap hooks (it's just the name for the actual wire-bends, the actual shape of the hook)

Good looking hooks for the dropshot set up, thanks Brian.
Do you need to fizz the fish when you pull them from 20ft plus? I know if you release them right away, you don't have to, correct?
Love yo video I live in greenwood an fish greenwood lake a lot come on an hit greenwood an give me some tips lol running bird getting old 🤣🤣💪🏿💪🏿
BLAT dropping knowledge once again. This would work great on Smith Lake over here in bama

Can you glue the bed head like how you showed and that way the body of the worm doesn't fly off?

I got some of those hooks in mystery tackle box. Freaking love them. I need to order more.

Thanks for the video Brian
Hey, B. Lat. Another great video. Do you not bother with a band/o-ring because the elaztech is so durable or is there another reason?

Nike needs to make those shoes in a waterproof version! Great video, think those hooks will be hard to find?

I like those hooks 👍🏽 very good and I see now that you have the earbuds instead of jamming the phone up in your hat which is classic😀
When fishing at that depth, do you find you have issues with the swim bladders of the fish?
what size hook to you usually use
Good video, Thanks Brian
Hey B Lat where can I find those thin Winn grips that you use on your bait caster?
Those hooks look like the trapper drop shot hooks I use they def stick em.
My friend fished with you at bassmasters in alabama.
Hey Brian
Is there a promo code available if we purchase these hooks online ?
That hook is similar to when crappie fishing!
Thanks for information
Gansta asf fishing with them af1 👌🏽
I do enjoy "participating in the program"!!!
is it kinda boring just going out and fishing for fun for you ?? or is it more enjoyable? Love your videos, learning and inspirational !!
Might be a silly question but why not just throw that worm on a Ned rig instead of a neko? Seems like similar desired result but simpler . .
🧐
- fall rate
- action
- difference in presentation for that depth
