Thank you so much.. I needede to figure our the effects and your direction was great.. My manuel is in every language except english so wonderfully and clear .. yes it took me a while but I got it . too bad you can't separate the channels.. again Mikey ,thanks.. rock on
nice review, i got to see most of the things i was looking for, but to give you some clearity and suggestions. sub stands for subgroup, in bigger mixers you can adjust more what's ruted to which output. this for it to be easier on stage or in practise to make the best sound to the different musicians, in terms of what they whant to hear to do their best. but of course awesome for other stuff as well if that need split signal with independent volume. mon out stands for mono output, often used for the sub so you independently can adjust the bass. i also recommend you to plug your mic through channel 1-6 where you have a pre-amp so you can get more control of the sound with less stress for the mixer, and you will free up a nice stereo input. the signal from the mic is a mono signal so it doesn't really matter.
If in doubt read the manual. - Back in the day, I would put a deposit on a piece of gear and then take the Manual Home. I would read the Manual 3 or 4 times, and then pay the balance and take the item home. Trust me... it Works, and in this age of downloadable manuals, there really is no excuse. I did find this video useful, but honestly I knew more about the mixer before watching it, than you did, making it.
@ElliotJMusic in simple terms Sub is an output routing that has many uses. like recording a group (selected inputs) or can be used to link another mixer. For eg look at level control at ch 1. See a button labeled 1-2 or sub on this mixer if u press it. sound on ch 1 will be routed to sub than u can control it to another output.
Excellent demo, thankyou very much. I have the older version and this was very helpful to me, it really does have some excellent extra features. Behringer really make quality but affordable:)
Make sure the orange effects slider is all the way down and or the orange effects knobs are all the way to the left. You may be routing the MIC thru the delay effect. The RCA inputs bypass the effects and subwoofer bus. I wouldn't run the DVD player into the RCA inputs. You can buy RCA to 1/4 jacks for less than $1 on eBay or $5 at Radio Shack. Run the DVD player into one of the stereo channels.. Good Luck
@mehdieminem - Most Pro Tools hardware interfaces accept balanced or unbalanced 1/4’’ inputs. All outputs on this mixer a fully balanced. I run the control room left and right channel outputs to my hardware interface and the main outs to my monitors.
the mic is patch at the last channel of the mixer 13/14 sub channel, i think he's not using an XLR cable for the mic input, he's using just a TRS jack... nice video.. also planning to buy that mixer.. if it's not sold out.. :D
lol mikey nice vid but that sub part made me laugh good man , the mono out is for ya subwoofer and the subs1-2 could be used for suming & sending to PC leaving control outs for room moniters , cheers mate
Helpfull review, pitty that you didn't read the manual. The mixer has many powerfull options that are unmentioned now. It's a low cost mixer with a compressor and low-cut on all mic-channels and a lot of effects and software. I'd want to know if all these options are working well and if the software is of any quallity: some reviews elswere say that the software is shit and cheap. However, good review but incomplete to use it as a guide for purchase.
I've bought this kind of mixer but in the first day of using I've encountered a lot of problem. main mix and sub button was easily broken. I can't assured if the item I've bought was genuine.
Good question. Although it comes with a USB cable and its own recording software I don't believe you can control ProTools with it. I am pretty sure only ProTools certified hardware will mixer control.
hi, great review/tutorial. i just recently bought a second hand and it works great. the only thing im worried about is that after 2 hours of using it, underneath where the power supply is heating up a bit. is this normal and safe? also, i noticed that all the videos of the mixer here in youtube, the led power light and the fx number are in blue, mine is orange.
Is there any way to connect it to a DAW (Specifically Ableton) to either have all your sounds come through the mixer and get modified there, then returned to your DAW so you can record and export it and such?

The cheap and easy method is to purchase RCA Female to 1/4 inch TS Male Adapters. You will need 6 of these adapters if you’re running a minidisc play, cd player, and feeding into and amp, assuming your using a stereo receiver as your amp. Otherwise you would use a two standard 1/4 inch audio cable for pro audio amps. You plug the adapters onto the end of your RCA patch cord and use the line input on channel 7/8 for minidisc and 9/10 for CD player. Just use the main outs to feed into your amp. You can use RCA cables with the 1/4 adapter.
Hit me on email and I'll walk you through my setup and see what you are missing. I use it with Ableton Live 10 on Mac and I works great. Anthonyeward@hotmail.com

The mixer has mono balanced inputs and outputs and will accept TS or TRS cables. For optimal sound quality you can use TRS cables. If you adapt/connect a TS cable to a TRS cable you no longer have a balanced connection but the audio will still work just fine. Unless you have really long cable runs or interfering you are unlikely to hear a difference in sound quality between TS or TRS. I often use RCA cables with a TS adapter, it’s ghetto but works just fine with line level devices (keyboards or electronic instruments). TRS cables can be used for a single stereo channel but the mixer has left and right balanced channels for stereo. In other words you can use TS or TRS and will have a stereo output regardless. TRS just offers the best sound quality. Keep in mind whatever your connecting to the other end of the cable must also support balanced inputs or outputs otherwise your just wasting money on TRS cables.
@mikeyhaas Sub stand for Sub channel, its use when you want to have 2 groups controled, ie vocals and instraments, the button that controled the main and the subs is used when you dont what to have that fine control over the 2 groups. but i do have a quick question for the channel eq, there is ment to be 4 controls do you know what bands they cover?
