I have a lph300 with a 2.0 set up for high build. I want to run a 1.4 setup for sealer. Do I have to change anything else besides the needle and nozzle?
Been a long time Iwata fan and have even toured your facility in Salt Lake City, but those air valve seats never come out as easy as the videos suggest. Always end up having to dig them out and hoping not to damage threads trying to dig them out. Currently working on a customer’s LPH400 and it’s the worst one I’ve dealt with yet. Weakest part of the design in my opinion.
Got an LPH400 with the air being weak in the middle of the fan and going top/bottom heavy. All holes on both nozzle and cap are clean and clear. Any idea?
I have an ls400 supernova that i just did the 5652 rebuilt kit on. But now its leaking some air at the nozzle. It did not leak before. Anyideas or help?
Snug your wax tip for the needle, grease the needle and slightly snug it until you feel the tension being too much on your trigger, when you've found the correct tension on trigger ? that should fix your problem . Sometimes if you've over tightened said part ? it'll swell and you'll never get it to seal , you just have to get another an run these steps... Hope this helps
Hi, My LPH400-LVX still leaks air. I only used the gun 3 times, before having air leak problems. I replaced the air valve seat, very meticulously as per your video. even though the old seat and O-ring still look new. It still leaks out of the needle packing/bushing area. I don't see anything on your You Tube that addresses this air leak problem. Since, the air valve seat replacement didn't fix the problem. A friend of mine who works at a Lincoln Body shop paint dept. put a new bushing?? on it (he had spares). Put it in and It still leaks. Very annoying. I can still spray small jobs, but was expecting a little better response to the attempts to troubleshoot. Sounds like a lot of people are having the same issue. The air valve replacement is not always the fix. Could there be a compromise with the gun body itself. And, Yes it would be nice if the video showed a actual defective gun being fixed to satisfaction. Thanks for the video, and any help, would be greatly appreciated.
My lph400 is missing that white plastic on the fluid adjuster knob where can i buy it??? Another thing my lph400 is leaking air on the air nipple i tried tighting it buy it leaks air!!! It also leaks behind trigger and air comes out of spray tip any help would be fantastic thank you
Willy, it’s been my experience with Iwata that anytime it’s leaking air the culprit is the air valve seat that they are changing out in this video. They are relatively cheap. You can get a parts breakdown on the Iwata website and most of the parts can be ordered easily by a local paint jobber. I’ve even found some of the parts available on Amazon. Hope that helps
I couldn't remove both the fan or needle screws even lightly heated, used after wise grip. destroyed the gun. Too bad I bought 300$ worth of replacement parts that are still in factory pkg. moving to SATA
You could have contacted us we would have had you send the spray gun in. If we found that the screws were indeed locked up. We would've replaced the whole spraygun.
I completely rebuilt my ls400 and it still leak air from the same cap
Have this issue with Brand New W400 WBX!!!!! Paid over $450! How it’s possible for a Brand new spray gun?
To all watching this video with the same problem DO NOT USE the rounded point allen wrench because it will damage where air valve seats use a flat one

it's absolutely a bad design... The gun is a marvelous sprayer outside of that though.
I just changed my air valve seat set and also the air valve cap. I can hear a small air leak from nozzle. Would u have and idea what it might be?

that thing stuck inside the chamber and it doesn’t move a bit even i use hex key to remove it. any advice? thank you for the video.
You can use a torch to heat it up and use some small screwdrivers to dig it out it's kind of a pain but the only way to do it.

Over tightening your air valve seat set could cause the leak to continue. Or you possibly could have a bad fluid adjust guide set.
