Console player here. Went to reddit for help after the narakapedia combos felt lacking and found this video. Thank you a ton. Usually dont like videos due to all the filler but this was straight to the point.
Somehow I cant do the grapple combos. Im talking about the first combo in intermediate. Either the enemy falls down fast or my combo after the grapple dont count.
no matter what i do, i cant get the grapple hit to send the bot high enough to then land the 2 uppercut, which always reuslt in me going on top of the bot that stays idle on the ground taking random h attack hits (40 ping btw)
you should also make a basic offense defense / combat guide. Now that I've been climing the ranks, I noticed players wont throw out their blue attacks anymore, but will instead do something like H H cV etc. I have been struggling escaping these strings. I know that Focus Dash won't help because I am not running, but Focusing through can sometimes save me here, a lot of the time I don't even have time to focus through the uppercut it will just hit me. I've tried dodging out as well.... Man I wish this game's training mode wasn't utter trash so i could record my enemy to do things etc. I'd be learning a lot faster if I didn't have to figure the answers out mid game . Thanks man I needed this, but can someone tell me why when I do the combo at 24s it knocks them the opposite way over my head. My ping bar is green so that shouldn’t be it.
@@MaroonGoone aim assist is need to play the game. I mean holding directs forward back left right matters and it's why I show my inputs. That said some of these already don't work from stealth nerfs
Hot damn, I got dizzy by just looking at the few of these combos. Seems almost impossible to pull these off on a controller, especially sliding uppercut combos.
I'll make something soonish for controller to make it easier for people. Playing claw or having extra buttons/paddles will make your life easier. Only thing I noticed was doing multiple grapple combos could feel a little bad as Im insanely rusty using it.
@@DamnielaJ Thanks for the quick reply. I use Elite Series 2 controllers, so I have back paddles, it is still pain in the ass to pull a sliding uppercut over a very short distance. Also, could you please make a guide on Advanced movements in combat? I know you have a guide on movements and how to use them in combat, but I would like to you to go further on those just for the combat, your decision process etc. E.g. How to effectively get in opponent's blind spot while doing focus attack -> dodge. I see high level players doing this all the time. I practiced that one in Training room for 4-5 hours, but training dummy AI is just garbage and I can't seem to figure out that during 3ban custom lobbies.
I feel like the test dummy isn't staying juggled in the air when I do some of the sequences when in the video yours is. Do you know if they changed something in a recent update so you can not juggle people in the air for as long? Most of these combos aren't working because of the juggling
They fucked up uppercuts and gravity in an August update and haven't tried to fix it or acknowledge it. So you'll basically need 200+ fps and you still want like 50-70 ping to do most of this easier. If you just want something that always works unless uphill just do slide uppercut grapple into focus attack stuff. I have some other setups I'm working on I might release next month to correct this.

By the way i play on controller so it looked like you held W on the double jump air horizontal combo what is W for u it always seems like the game wont let me jump a second time right away
For only doing the uppercut into 2 air horizontals if their facing you you hold back on the uppercut then hold forward it behind it's just forward. Chances are it's some part of what you're doing is too slow
Why do you hold a or d sometimes? I heard doing that for grapple combos cancels the landing animation but idk why you do it for part of a combo that has no grapple
If you are not moving forward (sprinting) when you uppercut and you hold nothing you will not roll you only need to hold left or right to cancel the roll if you were moving prior
Generally speaking I test everything on bot's set to dodge which actually escape stuff human players can't do to being functionally 0 ping. But certain things where the opponent is grounded can randomly drop or work or work and eat their dash. Good rule of thumb is just to do uppercut ground grapple focus unless you have really low ping in most situations.

I swear it won't let me pull off the double horizontal aerial combo on controller. The jump window is super delayed for me it feels like

They fucked up something a patch ago that causes hits to land differently which makes that way harder and fucks it up

You need to do specific movements

I can not really understand, why my character does a roll, every time after grapple after appercot?
Do not hold a direction when you grapple besides left or right look at my inputs on screen

What is the particular reason why we use slide uppercut vs just going straight into crouch uppercut? is it better frames or better launch?
Also to get this straight when doing sliding uppercut do I release shift before pressing crouch? Or can I just hold shift and it's a matter of timing?
It launches differently but they messed up something on the patch and you may struggle with a few of these now unless you ping us 60-80

Training settings use the aim training bots.

If you're moving you won't roll on grapple.
It changes how you both land and move while doing attacks so that you can get the proper follow ups
Are you using C to crouch cancel the grapple kick animation in these or using a/d? Looks like you just use c in the video.
