I've been loving the deep combat in Naraka Bladepoint and wanted to explore it deeper. Huge thanks to Mime for coming by and doing this tutorial with me!

IMPORTANT!!!
With recent changes/nerfs/etc. Some of these combos no longer work. I'll list out changes below and update this pinned message accordingly:
Dagger

ive been trying to do a thing where you do the longsword dash combo, into an uppercut, then switch to a great sword midair and use it to chase their roll when they land on the ground

great stuff, I always have problems fighting against dagger, maybe memorizing some of this will help
For the longsword combo, to land both hits of the aerial LMB, make sure to knockup the opponent with crouch+RMB without having any directional keys pressed.
Then when your opponent is knocked into the air you can press W key. Wait just under half a second in the air before hitting LMB for aerial attack. The opponents body
should be above your character model when you aerial LMB. This way you'll land both hits of aerial LMB instead of missing the second one and knocking them
further back as shown in the video.
Alternatively, you could also just drop to the ground after hitting crouch+RMB (with directional key), and tap jump into aerial LMB into RMB.
This one is easier to do, fail proof (aside from terrain height difference), and does not rely on proper timing.
You can then continue the hitstun RMB when they recover and repeat.

Nice bro! Did you know when u have the golden dagger jade you can left or right click, then right after you press shift and then you press horizontal twice while you keep holding W and you come into a really unique special attack, very very cool

@@mxsayian I pkay fortnite competitive for 3 years.. im super good a t it.. but naraka is harder.. probably cuz im on 85 ping but whne I go back to the us in colorado I have 13 ping I will let you know.. one thing good about naraka is that high ping is not as bad as other games

Figured out a tech to avoid longsword charge spam. Long dodge into grapple kick as long as you remain close, usually let’s you do a nezha or dagger left click and start a combo afterwards. Any punish techs you like to use against specific weapons?

I didn’t know longsword had such a good combo… seems like it might just be the #1 sleeper weapon
For great sword GR combo, you want to cancel the first spinning attack once it hits the opponent otherwise they can easily dodge the CrB. Also for the kanata double Cr combo, for the second CrB you want to face down to the ground otherwise its gonna miss
For great sword there's also a counter combo. You can follow the counter with a J.A B
Thanks for the insight! How do you cancel the spin? I was still hitting it but I think maybe my opponents aren't dodging out correctly
For spear the optimal launching combo is Cr.B A, J. A. This allows you to do 2 J.A which is the highest dmg attack with spear. The trick is that for the second J.A you want to turn the camera left slightly because the attack only hits opponent on your right when they are on the ground
For long sword launch combo. The midair A is going to miss one of the two hits. The right way is to wait until you land on the ground and then do a J. A, which will hit both of the hits

One thing you should have added is with the spears lunging attack (Dragon Slayer I believe). While performing any charge attack, if you release it the moment the blue glint appears, the charge attack will transform into the lunging attack. On hit, this lunging attack allows you to do the gold charge move of spinning the spear for massive dmg. This is also the counter move. It’s very skill/timing based but makes you a god if you master it.
That's in my spear tutorial :) and it's kind of an all in one move. So I didn't want to include it as a "combo". But I appreciate the feedback
Awesome vid! Learned a ton, never even knew about the different dodges. Do you use short hops for any of these combos or does that matter much?
i short hop most of the time! but most of these combos naturally throw you into the air with the launcher

@@ironCheval I would say very minimal. Because most of the soldiers don't affect the normal moves. I'm sure you've noticed. Most of these combos only involve the light attacks and not the focus attacks

After parry. Hold W and press short hop. Then immediately J.A into J.B.
J.b not guaranteed but hits decently consistent

Hey! Thanks for the guide - could you clarify a bit on the greatsword cr.b->j.a->j.b combo? After using j.a, using j.b slams down and misses the target who flies away from the j.a I noticed in your video your character does a little mini dash forward after the j.a
So basically you just need to not hold W during this. But it's a bit inconsistent. Really depends on terrain if I'll go for the full combo

3:54 Hi, one question: If I do this greatsword combo, my third attack ( J.B ) won't connect. There is also no "speed" animation mid air because in your video it looks like you somehow have a dash towards the front.
What is the difference between hold dodge without wasd and hold dodge with wasd in terms of the first actionable frame? Pretty much does holding dodge with wasd make the first actionable frame longer?
Is there an updated version of this that includes more weapons and balance changes somewhere?

When I used the Greatsword, I literally found the definition of Unga Bunga.
No complex combos, no knowing about specific setups. Just swing big weapon, destroy enemy.
What about the second part of the katana focus attack that knocks down? Does it have any use or is it better to just do the windslash part only?
only the windslash. the 2nd part is really risky to getting parried. use it sparingly.

What is the long range charged attack at 8:09 ?
Is there any combos or tech to do with ranged weapons? Like hit hit, dodge switch to pistol shoot dodge and switch back to weapon? With some ranged weapons you can slide jump shoot slide repeat to stay mobile and offensive. Reminds me of kettle in gunz
Hmm very minimal. But with some skills it's nice. For example viper ult. Sometimes blasting someones head with a repeater is more damage at close range

for the greatsword combo (without grapple), the last vertikal autoattack many times do not hit because the enemy is a bit to far away. How can I prevent this?

yup! or hold A, holdd B, release A. that works too. has to be before first ding

I don't succeed doing the 2 first dagger combos. After I land, I wish to continue the combo, but the guy stays on the floor and I hit the air.
Should I crounch to land ? Or just let me land by myself ?
I don't know what I'm doing wrong.. Also, when I do A - B - A, it still does a focus attack at the end ?
Edit : Ok, seems that it cannot be done with grey dagger. But with golden dagger we have enough speed. My question about my third attack being a focus is still ON.

I’d says so bro. I’m silver 1 but have 50 hours (cause I suck ass) and people tend to just spam focus attacks or left click chains. Maybe give tianhi a try with his second bell if you want more security when trying for parry’s

Didn't like the "vertical attack", when its diff combo all the time, especially when it's a diagonal attack, if we go by muai tai, let's go with "diagonal" when it's that ;D But I feel like "light" and "heavy" are better terms, when u hear "jump-heavy", u know what to press, withou checking the screen "waait how do I do the Uppercut Launcher" ;D
Unfortunately. Heavy attack refers to when you hold and charge the attack though
In the dagger combo. the part after the land. I can not execute it against real fighter. they get up too fast.

Probably I'm too stupid bcs I dont understand why LMB and RMB need to be told Horizontal and Vertical and be written as A and B... and not just be called how and what they are and written also the same... can someone explain this to me?

@@DeaPecatta it's just standardization from other fighting games. Was adopting a similar style from similar fighting games like soul calibur. Also OSK was already using a similar standard so we thought it'd be easier if we kept a similar notation style 😅 I know it's a bit roundabout but hopefully it'll be more clear as the community grows

I hate combos in any game that has them so much. Nothing lamer than losing one interaction and then helplessly watching someone do some goofy looking muscle memory combo for 10 seconds.
