At the moment, I have my 81 year old Mother standing in the rain, holding my iPad under an umbrella, as I zoom in 30x with my Ubiquiti G4 PTZ security cam. It works great, except Mum keeps complaining she is cold, hungry and needs to pee.
Larix Screencaster seems to be the best software option, especially as it offers the most flexibility in terms of bitrate adjustment and choice of streaming protocols, including SRT, so you’re not restricted to streaming across only a local network either.
Sigh...so for my iPhone, Other than Tim, I thought I was the one guy that has tried (And paid for) most of the apps on this list, even the iPhone HDMI adaptor. So far, other than not using Larix, the NDI has been my consistent go to. Thanks for the info Tim.
iPhone/iPad lightning to HDMI adapter needs power to work FYI. There's a lightning cable input next to the HDMI cable input, power it like you'd power your iPhone/iPad directly and vMix will see the video source as an input. Otherwise, nothing.
i used lets view on PC for iOS devices works quite well since it sets up like a airplay server on your PC and you don't need anything installed on a iOS device just regular screen mirroring that is built in the OS works great. This solution is great if you are limited on hardware capture ports or the phone needs to be wireless, some companies strict on what can be installed on work phones/laptops so even if it is not the best solution it can come in clutch
Since the last update. My Cam Link 4k no longer works for screen capture. I've previously used it for my cellphone and other cameras in the HD version. Now it states I need the 4K version for it to operate. It gives no option to down size to the camera or cell resolution.

I have an iPhone 11 so would using the Ethernet part of the adapter be slower than the actual wireless capability of the phone? Or is it advantageous because wired is more reliable?
I am praying Larix gets NDI support someday. I am trying to get V-tuber software running off the phone into Vmix so that I can streamline the process for my clients.
I use a Chromecast with a HDMI chinasse splitter that allows me to connect Chromecast directly to an atom mini pro or my El gato CamLinkPro ( because DHCP) and with the Google home app I can do it :)
Streamlabs is a decent streaming app. It's kinda glitchy and slow, but it works well and can pick up internal audio well, as long as the app supports it.
Hey Tim, what's the best way to be able to draw using a apple pen or similar, but that outputs on a transparent layer so we can scribble onto our live stream. Is that just a case of using something like ApowerMirror and creating a green screen behind it then keying that out in vMix?
Someone in comments said the adapter for iphone needs power but it doesn’t look like it does as you’ve demonstrated here without power to the adapter. Is this correct ?
The NDI HX Capture App just captures the screen. If you loaded up your camera on the phone, then you'd see the camera screen, but with all of the other screen content as well like the menus and notifications. For the direct camera, the NDI HX Camera App would be the option- apps.apple.com/us/app/ndi-hx-camera/id1477266080?ls=1 or perhaps the NDICam app from SIenna- apps.apple.com/us/app/ndicam/id1074065391?ls=1
I have used NDI HX Capture, works well 👍🏽

I use Smart View on Galaxy devices and cast it to the Projecting to this PC/Connect App. Works well. A little delay as usual with casting.

Cheers for this. But what about linking a Teradek (Receiver/Transmitter) to the iPhone when you are doing location shootings? Will that work?

Will this work for me recording with one device and being able to see on the second device at the same time ?

Keying out a green background would be the easiest way.

You are a legend
can you make VMIX available to mac? 🙏
Someone in comments said the adapter for iphone needs power but it doesn’t look like it does as you’ve demonstrated here without power to the adapter. Is this correct ?
It may depend on the phone and adapter that you use.
What if we use Atem for this does any of this cause lag during gaming ?
My Vmix machine is on ethernet but the phone is on wifi. Same router but Vmix doesnt see the phone using NDI HX app. Is there a way around that?
Hi, could you send through an email to our Support Team and they'll take a look. www.vmix.com/contact-us.aspx

Guys lets say im writing a piece on soft soft. Is there any I can use 10 different tutorial without having to open 10 kontakt windows
what capture card are you using to convert the iPad/iPhone HDMI to SDI?
I can't remember but it was likely a Decimator converter or perhaps a Black Magic Video Assist that we had nearby.
Good
Is there a way o rotate the screen and make it bigger
For the input in vMix, you can go to the position settings to do this.
@@vMixhd thx
Can you use this app as an a NDI camera
