1. The Americans defense just stones the French lack of speed and inability to get down the wings.
2. Taking those long shots may be successful in Europe, it will not work against quality defensive skilled teams like England, U.S.A. Etc.
The rest of the world will copy the Americans play. The 19 World Cup was proof the Europeans are catching up. As good as the Americans were they had a few difficult matches. Time will tell.

Yes and no. It was an intended cross that had just enough curl to find the inside of far post. Since it was quite close to being a brilliant cross for the header, it froze Solo in place who needed to be ready to protect the near post and center.
