- Here is an overview of the construction of our mower decks. We aim for the perfect balance of strength and weight in the engineering of each deck we build. The majority of our mower decks are constructed primarily of 7 gauge steel and reinforced throughout with 11 gauge steel, providing our customers with a light-weight, commercial-grade cutter deck.

Very informative, and definitely impressive! Who knew that there would be that much involved in creating high quality mower decks?
I’m glad I decided to buy a Wright mower. One of the best decisions I’ve made for my business.
There’s just this unspoken confidence knowing you have a well built machine cutting customer’s properties.
Only have 14 hours on my Wright i36 and so far my only regret is- I should have purchased sooner!
Thanks for your business!
I just purchased my second Wright stander, picking my ZK in few weeks, I got rid of my scag and bobcat mowers. Wright workmanship is unmatched in my opinion
Great video Ed great deck not too light not too heavy 👍 cuts great
It's great having Ed explain why Wright manufacturing, build the way they do. Does anyother owner do this?
Looks awesome
You had ME at heavy metal 🎸🙃
Lol, back in the 90's when we just a few people hand building mowers one at a time, the assembly team would play music. The "DJ" kept "Another One Bites The Dust" on the sound track. All these years later, it's the soundtrack in my mind when I see a mower touch the ground for the first time--even if that's not the original meaning of the song. -Ed
Just think ‘’Another One Bites The Grass “ 👍😀
This the stuff that I'm interested in. The engineering team. I not have a Wright .but I want give it a try after see the dedication of there products.. thanks Ed..
Thanks Ed love my 36 intensity
Thanks -Ed
I love my aerocore decks
Thanks. -Ed
Ed's enthusiasm and dedication to Wright mowers is what makes Wright mowers stand above the rest. Ed, if you ever go residential, I SOOO want to be part of your team!!
Come on Randy , "commercial " doesn't mean you can't use it at home ! Can't wait to see the G4 review ! 8 )
@@wh8085 See there Ed? Someone wants me to review your mowers!! Lol.
@@g4outdoors Hey ! I'm a commercial mowing company and everything ! I'm a Scag man . . . . . Change my mind ! 8 )
@@wh8085 Put a snowblower in my hands and I’ll convince you it’s the best mower! 🤣.
@@g4outdoors LOL 8 )
I would like to see the rear discharge deck. Cemetery mowing. I have got your 52"X and 61"ZK. Love em.
I have a 61” zto. Love the mower. 2 things that I noticed. The deck wheels make a lot of noise when at high speed. This is when the deck is in the lowered position to cut. Also the spindle covers seem to have paint that is just flaking off. No other issues other than that.
Anybody else notice the noise coming from the deck wheels?
Put a small loader attachment to the all models. Could be used for snow removal, dirt and leveling. I want to buy a 32 wright stand.
Mower decks that are 12 11 10 gauge Steel and on down are very strong and will last decades
I'm super impressed with your build quality. I like the fact is that you have a reason for everything you do, in your construction. I'm itching to buy a new mower this year. I only buy commercial mowers for our 2 acre property. My one question is, is a 50 year old man too old for a stand up mower? Your input would be greatly appreciated and thank you for your time.
Never too old:) A Stander will be much easier on your back than a rider. My dad, 70, still cuts his lawn with a Stander!
i have several toro mowers in my fleet at this time but i am to pickup my wright stander zk61 at 11 am in the morning i cant wait to go cut some grass with it i hope its all they say it is
This makes me want to buy only from you guy's
Thank you!
@@WrightMowers now we just need a collection system for the x machine.
Doesn't that angle on the the front make it more prone to catching on things while backing up?
Do y'all make the 36 stander intensity with kohler or vanguard engines?
Kawasaki
Why not fully weld the deck? Just curious.
Make more 42 inch mowers please please please
if it needs to be light and strong...how bout titanium deck? what would be the drawback of that...besides price?
I own 36” intensity & 32” Stander B thru HOLLINGER and Sons Mountville ( Justin ) I own and massage 36 buildings in Coatesvlle Pa (steel town) I use them to cut approx 16 of them thank you
Glad to hear! Thanks!\
5:09.... y not put the angle that u did on the front then, so it has a chance to hope over?
Ed, you need to have a 90° angle between the back skirt and the deck top. The added steel underneath, I’m guessing was intended to help discharge clippings. It has the opposite effect. I have a ZK 52” & I have an eXmark Lazer ZX 60” that we mow the same properties with and the ZK deck always needs cleaning. Even if grass isn’t damp. I’d really like to see this changed in the future. Also, I really really hate the bolt through spindles on the ZK. I had an I stander with those spindles. Demo’d an X and it had spindles like my eXmark which btw is now 10 years old and still going strong, no spindle or deck issues.
I guess what I’m saying is, I give my ZK 4 out of five stars but, if you were to make the two changes I mentioned, definitely five stars.
Is it stamped
What is MSRP on the new 40 hp 72" deck? Thanks
About $14k
@@WrightMowers Thx...impressive mower!
@@StanWilhite - I ordered my ZXT 72 back in May (2022) and it took 4 ½ months for it to arrive at the dealer due to short supply. My price was locked in back in May for $14,999 and that’s exactly how much I paid on 9-20-2022.
How many hours can u get out of a well maintained ZK?

The engine is usually the limiting factor. The mower frame can survive about 3 engines. I often say that an engine's life might nominally be 2000hrs but if you really take care of it, I've heard of engines going to 5000hrs. -Ed
If you change oil every 50 hrs, plugs every season, blow out the air filter, keep grass build up off the engine, it should last you 2800-3000 hrs. My KAW did.
Too many baffles. I constantly fight with a clogged deck every time I mow. You should make the side discharge with a removable baffle.
Kholer engines are the worst engines out coming from someone hew runs a business.
You can say that again!!!!
You have old kohler new ones are amazing
