It's great to have such a super musician commend a ukulele at such an affordable price. Just proves the wonderful uke is within reach of so many people! Thanks
Hahaha I need a cape for super musician I think, but I get equally as excited for good instruments at affordable budgets, the next gen of new learners get it good!
Thanks Sammy, fascinating review. At least you say it as it is, great price from Flight and it is clearly a well built and nice sounding Uke for its price and with a strap button plus gig bag. Thanks for comparisons, got to love the Uke Logic strings though and other Flights were lovely. Have a great week.
I purchased a tenor iris two weeks ago and so far am really enjoying it. I changed the string to D'Addario flurocarbon ones and they feel thinner and easier to play. I've only been learning for two months so perfect addition to my flight tsul 32 😁
Wow. Quite the difference in tone going from the Iris to the Diana. I guess it figures at twice the price, but was still caught a bit off-guard by it. The others all felt very "of a group" compared to the thinner (shriller?) tone on the Iris. Great review.
@igorchiandetti5981 my fault on that - I used the old samples and there is obviously a difference I made somewhere. Going forward I’ll film all new samples/comparing in one burst so the settings will remain identical.
@@4stringboy Alex from SUS already had and Barry already published some macro views. 😀 It's my first tenor ukulele and it's quite different form my collection. I think, that the effect is stronger on the audience than the player. My child played some note in the living room while I was making dinner. And the sound was amazing clear and loud!
I purchased the Baritone Iris, and happily found it to FAR EXCEED it's price point like you pointed our here with the Tenor. I'd literally buy it over some ukuleles I compared it to that were more than $500 USD. That Baritone was $199 USD and I couldn't be happier. But since then, the Baritone has once again taken a back seat to my go as I am mainly playing my Tenor size ukes. I dig the Iris so much, I going to pick up an Iris Tenor as well. While I appreciate the higher priced instruments, the Iris proves it's not always necessary. I will be doing the string change/upgrade though.
I tried a concert iris at my local music shop and it sounded awful, especially the C string at the 5th fret. Put me off Flight a bit. Can you please review the Caraboa SUS tenor.
I'd love to review the Carabou, I think it's a bit harder to get as they're all with SUS but I'd love too! String change is a help for that, I slap ukelogic soft tensions on most ukes to make them sing
Looks good to a non musician but why would you want a pickguard on an uke and a paintjob to match it? Only to dampen the sound and get away with a low quality wood for the top. Looking good.

This is an excellent idea from Flight!
Everybody wins! …unless I want to keep too many 😬
Amazing sounds:) I wanna start to learn Ukulele!
DO IT it’s a wonderful little instrument!

Oh nice! Yes the strings on the Iris are chunkier, good luck with the learning 🧡
Thank you, I'm hoping to improve enough so I can play a christmas song or two in my christmas service this year🙏🏻

Oh yes, I’d say the Diana is closer to the Fireball end than the Iris end despite the price!
to be fair, audio settings seem different between the Iris and the others.

Funny how I did not bond with that Ukulele. But it instantly clicked with the Flight Comet.
But I enjoy your joy. 🤣
Hahaha don’t worry, I’m much more excited to get my hands on that comet! Hopefully the next next review 😇

And one minor gripe: I can only use the strap on the headstock and not on the heel joint, as the neck is bolted on.
I like to play tenor but I usually find string tension unpleasant. Do the ukelogic strings make a vast difference?
@@advanbever4245UkeLogic provides hard and soft tension strings.

Glad to hear it, it’s a really great uke!
Just subbed and placed a Uke Logic string order. I have a nice set of Living Waters on my tenor Fluke.
Appreciate the sub! Heard wonderful things about the living waters but haven’t tried them yet.
That strumming tune you play is lovely, does it have a name? 😘
I’ve forgotten it’s name 😰

Send back thevconcert instead of the tenor. They'll never know. Hehehe.
I totally would have, but I'm quite attached to the concert now, it's my travel buddy
