Hey Matt, I have purchased some coins along time ago and now i have decided to sell and withdraw them, when i press withdraw it says that 'AWUD Withdrawal via NPP is not ready yet' and under it states ' Due to government regulations..... i first need to deposit AUD via NPP...' my question is that if i do follow this and make a small deposit just to get this page out of the way, will i then be able to withdraw all my money even from before?
Hi Matt, I mistakenly used bpay and wish to withdrawal in the future. Does that mean I need to try NPP to connect my bank account and then I will be allowed to withdrawal
Thanks for your blog. One problem is my bank requires me to enter the BSB code. I've tried leaving it blank or using random numbers without success. Do you have any suggestions?
Full KYC isn’t required as far as I’m aware unless you stake for a CDC Visa card. I personally would always do it anyway if I’m transacting in any way with a bank account. Just helps to avoid any risks of issues later if you are already verified before you put money in. Up to you though. The app will force you to do it if you try and do something that requires it. No transaction fees on the CDC side to deposit or withdraw AUD vía NPP. As far as I know, no AU banks charge any fees on NPP transfers either, but I could be wrong. None I use charge any fees.
Depends. Bpay takes a few business days and hides your bank account from the receiver so it's not possible to link your withdrawal account when you've deposited via Bpay. You have to make a deposit via NPP in order to link your bank account. NPP payments usually take minutes, if not faster.
Hi, Just to clarify, i deposited 50aud to my npp already, and tried try to withdraw using fiat to my bank, but accidentally transfer the whole money of my fiat to my bank. Should i deposit another 50aud to fiat again as maintaining balance?. thanks in advance.
If you want to do it from the Crypto.com app then you need to make a fiat deposit of AUD $50 or more using NPP from your CBA account first. That’s the only way to link a bank account in Australia to your Crypto.com account currently. You can withdraw the $50 again afterwards.
Crypto.com says to do at least $20 per PayID deposit. It used to be $50 but it came down a little while ago. I once did $10 by accident (I meant to do $100) and it still came through fine but $20 is the minimum amount they specify.
If you are in Australia, aou will need to make a deposit to the app via the New Payments Platform (this includes PayID and Osko) to link your bank account. Here's a video I did on how to do that: ua-cam.com/video/mtnYU2keBIw/v-deo.html
5:55 I'm completely lost..... do I need an app? Did I miss a step? I can do BPay as easily as I breathe but for some reason I can't comprehend this NPP process on a step to step basis and I badly need it to support my life right now because my Crypto success this year is the only thing that's gonna keep me afloat :/
Hey Eldritch, sorry for the late reply. Hope you are doing alright! Did you figure this out with your bank? NPP = PayID = Osko. The exact process depends on your bank. Most Australian banks support the NPP network these days, though there are still a small number that don't (eg HSBC). Usually you would select the option to pay to an email address. For every bank I have used it's the exact same process as a regular bank transfer except you choose to use a PayID instead of a BSB/account number. Hopefully that helps in some way if you are still stuck!
Hey Matt..Thanks for the great video..I am based across the ditch in Auckland and was wondering if you know the process for NZ Banks? Is it similar? I have contacted my bank for help but thought of asking you too 😃
It goes into your fiat wallet in the app. It will show in the fiat wallet transaction list as well as add to the totals for both the fiat wallet and the overall account. It will also show in the entire account transaction list.
Hey mate, I’ve followed this vid and my bank (bank sa) won’t let me put the pay I’d into the email address part for pay Id on my bank account ..? Any help would be greatly appreciated
I don't use Bank SA so can't really help you. I did see in their NPP FAQ that if your account is one of these: www.banksa.com.au/online-services/ways-to-pay/new-payments-platform#qbodypar_-1column-86cf_col1_bodyfaq-cdfd-23 then you can't make PayID payments at this stage. If it's not one of those account types then it sounds like a Bank SA support query. I personally use Up Bank (backed by Bendigo Bank and Adelaide Bank) for all my crypto transactions and have no issues (this is the same card account that I use in this video. You can learn more about them here: up.com.au/ and if you are interested, you can get a $5 signup bonus and an additional $5 bonus when you make 5 card purchases within 30 days of sign up when you use my referral link: hook.up.me/matthewbrown
Not until you make another deposit using NPP from your bank account. Once you do that, you can withdraw regardless of where you deposited from. Until you do that though, Crypto.com doesn't know where to send your withdrawals to. NPP deposits are how your bank account is linked to your Crypto.com account.
I can't show you since I have a fully verified account, and I can't say 100% for sure as it is an unusual scenario. I'd suggest contacting Binance support to confirm, but I believe you will need to do basic KYC, then proceed to intermediate KYC. You'll choose passport as the verification method and you'll use whatever nationality your passport has on it. HOWEVER, this will likely lock you into whatever version of Binance is available in the country of your nationality. You will then need to do advanced KYC which is where you provide proof of residence and upload a utility bill or bank statement with your address. I believe, once you have done Advanced KYC showing your AU proof of residence you should be all sorted, but I'd definitely confirm that with Binance support first, especially if you already have any fiat or crypto in the account. Here's instructions for all 3 KYC's: www.binance.com/en/support/articles/360027287111

The Westpac app is saying that? Or the Crypto.com app? I'm assuming it's the Westpac app sending you a verification code before completing the payment. I had no issue with depositing from my Westpac account so I'm not sure why you would be experiencing an issue. Were you able to add the PayID as a recipient? You should be able to do that without needing to confirm with an SMS code and then only get the SMS code once you attempt to make a payment for the first time. If you are doing it via online banking, maybe try the mobile app (or vice versa). I've only made payments from Westpac using the mobile app myself, but I don't see why one would work and the other not.

Shouldn't be, as long as the first and last name match.

They do. NPP is just the actual network name used by PayID and Osko to process payments.

Hey Matt...I have deposited in AUD and wanted to withdraw money in AUD but the fiat wallet was showing only one option that is Euro as currency
That's odd. How did you make an AUD bank deposit without an AUD fiat wallet?

If you want to do it from the Crypto.com app then you need to make a fiat deposit of AUD $50 or more using NPP from your CBA account first. That’s the only way to link a bank account in Australia to your Crypto.com account currently. You can withdraw the $50 again afterwards.

NPP encompasses PayID and Osko payment methods. So as long as your bank supports one of those you should be fine.

Really helpful... Cheers mate 👍
No problem 👍 Glad it helped!

Awesome, thanks! Glad it helped you out and hopefully it continues to help others out :)
So we have to pay $50 to their bank to be able to withdraw? I don’t want to send $50 and lose it because that’s not right lol 😂
If you don't deposit anything why do you need to withdraw anything? And why would you lose it?
@@matttalkscrypto I have $500 invested in different coins, I’m just confused as to why it’s giving me their bank details for the fiat wallet withdrawal if I wanted to take it back out lol

As per the link: "If the recipient’s PayID is an email address, Landline number, ABN/ACN or Organisation ID:
Select the + sign in the top right-hand side corner (of the pay someone screen). From the menu of options, click more. Locate the PayID type you would like to pay to and enter the details provided e.g. their email address."
I don't use CBA though so I can't offer you any more than their own support docs sorry.
I use Up Bank (backed by Bendigo Bank and Adelaide Bank) for all my crypto transactions and have no issues sending money via PayID into my crypto.com account.
