That's a good idea
After 5 babies I have learned how important postpartum care is. I have used a cart for all of my postpartum and breastfeeding needs - which was the best thing ever. I stored my supplements, vitamins, water, snacks, and healthy electrolytes drinks like Ultimate and Possible brands. All of my nursing pads, extra bras, etc. you can purchase a three tiered cart from Target, Amazon, almost anywhere.
Also, when you think of diaper bags, think of what Dad will use too. My husband is super involved and usually does diaper changes when we’re out. So a backpack style bag for him worked well, our fave is Dagne Dover.

Ok, I live in bug ville. Recently, I came across this natural mixture. I tried it and it WORKS. Buy lots of bay leaf. Yes. The stuff we cook with and boil it to light tea consistency. In a spray bottle, pour your bay leaf tea, three quarters of alcohol and 10 drops of essential oil. I use peppermint and lemongrass, I interchange it cause bugs hate the smell and we love it. Shake well, keep a bottle handy and spray around the back, pool and everywhere twice a m week. You will see bugs do not like hanging around your yard. It takes a bit but as you spray consistently, most stay away. It is natural, not harmful and pet friendly.
I would suggest before stocking up on baby products, you try them out first. Some products don't work well with babies. They might end up being allergic to some ingredients and then you're stuck with like 6 bottles of a product that you can't use
Even if you cant use it, your insurance will be paying for it. I would still take it and find a women’s shelter to donate anything you don’t need. The hospital doesn’t keep anything that has been touched/assigned to another patient
True. Get one bottle of lotion or body wash, try it and then buy more

@@TatumSheffield my career started in the hospital in labor & delivery. Since then I’ve also have experience as an insurance claims examiner, a certified professional cider and now Administrator. I know! In America! I. Texas. Various hospitals out the world famous Texas Medical Center. Yea the overcharge AND all the items are NOT included in the global maternity allowance la jags. Many, yes! Sine, yea but not all that was sited above.

Bring an extra empty duffle bag or empty rolling suitcase and TAKE EVERYTHING BECAUSE YOURE PAYING FOR IT (all the formula, diapers, or whatever they have stocked for you in the room)

True! I did that with all 3 of my kids…. My kids are all over 20 now and all lactose but back in the day, they did good with a formula called goodstart… I took my own nightgown and slippers that was comfortable for me. Also had my nails a bit shorter and hair braided so that I wouldn’t hv to worry bout doing my hair with a new baby responsibility
The best advice my mother gave me before going to the hospital and while there!! Lol every shift she would ask the nurse for pampers and wipes. My husband would go to the nurses station to collect more and I was thankful because I left that hospital
With over 100 pampers the nurse stuffed my diaper bag before I left. When I got home I realized how much I needed that stuff saved me tons of money!!

So one thing I never see anyone talk about or say but bring your Boppy pillow with you. Its for you to hold your baby closer to you and definitely support you if you’re nursing her 😉. I brought mine with all 4 of mine. Best decision ever always hands down 😊❤
Hospital bag: phone charger, bring your towel, deodorant, hair brush, your own lotion. Please do buy(even though hospital provides) adult diapers from Costco/Sam’s club, they are bigger and hold your tummmy better
Diaper bag: onesies, diaper, wipe.
Most importantly enjoy your delivery! It’s the most magical moment when you meet your baby.
Been following your journey so glad you are finally pregnant and you’re enjoying your pregnancy. My husband and I struggle for 7 years to get pregnant and now I have my 6 month baby boy. Being a mom is the best thing God has promoted.

The countdown is real! Definitely take shower shoes, chapstick, comfy clothes that you don’t mind getting messy. The hospital provides the big postpartum pads and undies but a lot of moms have been gravitating towards the Frida Mom postpartum underwear or period underwear/depends. Postpartum peri bottle (the shape of the ones you purchase provides more ease of use than the hospital provided ones). I’ve seen a lot of moms use electric aromatherapy diffusers, the level of relaxation it provides after birth is worth it if your hospital allows it. I’ll comment again if anything else comes to mind. @@ryanmay1754 I read this in a book. It have to be the original, not the ones with added fragrance. I have severe allergies so I’ve never tried it because I don’t have plants. However, I have noticed I don’t have any insect bites when I go out walking. Any other time I have bites from my ankles to my knees.

Getting you hair braided helps and bring plenty of wash cloths and your own towels..
That spike of energy kick in at the end of the pregnancy and you want everything together. I always take my gown and my smell good lotions for myself and flip flops that is waterproof. ❤❤❤

I loved my Amazon diaper bag. It came with insulated compartments, 2 different strap options and a foldable change pad that I took everywhere. It was cheap too!

When I was pregnant and it was almost time for my son to come I got a burst of energy. I moved all the furniture round on my living room.Like I was craving hotdogs and cherry pie. I brought my hotdogs and put cherries on top so good. The next couple of days I was taking a bath and he was ready to come. Love u all💚

Charms and babies don’t mix. They pull at them and if they get one loose it goes up the nose or in the mouth. You don’t need that kind of excitement. Trust me.

Then how cute, the baby can grasp things but she's not strong enough to pop a charm off. Then oh shit, one's missing. They are new parents so they won't know everything up front. I was just in that Home Goods, you and Brandon went to, on Juneteenth. It’s on Park Blvd in Plano. Frisco is less than a mile up the road. This HG is a newer location. They just opened it last summer. I actually work for the city of Plano. It has lots of beautiful neighborhoods.❤

You can add sensor lights. They have a long range.
Nice!!! You may still want to add grass seeds and fertilizer. Will make the grass thicker and beautiful. Some clear resin over the gravel will look nice once the solar lights are in.

The diaper bag is cute, but you need efficiency. I suggest a backpack diaper bag at first, then move to the tote. You need your hands free.

Take some things that make you comfortable and relieve stress like scented candles, lighter, bluetooth speaker for meditation music, diffuser, thermo cup, snacks, tea bags, yoga ball for labor, ipad.
They might not allow you to light candles in
a hospital due to oxygen being in use.😮
Probably can't use candles in hospital because of oxygen. But a diffuser with oil will work.
What hospital allows you to burn real candles?
