It takes months before any noticeable change, and from what I've noticed of my body from the past couple of years, my body's muscle mass and composition slowly changed as I kept eating a healthier diet and exercising regularly. Fitness really is a marathon, not a sprint.
Facts, losing weight is the easiest part, but if your trying to develop a build it really does take a good minute. I’m not an expert, but I’m in the same boat as you just about. Steady health change instead of a 3 month Optimus Prime transformation into a Greek god.
Tbf actually when you first start going to the gym the physical progress you make in those first few months are more than you'll ever see again. You put on muscle so fast until you start to plateau after around 6 months of consistency
