From Kenya and love Tanzania and it's people and diverse cultures. Afrika Mashariki oyee!! 🇰🇪 🇺🇬 🇹🇿 🇷🇼 🇧🇮 🇸🇸 . Natamani kutembea Tanga, TZ which is a few hundred miles from Mombasa, +254, my second 🏡
Asante, nice video clip, very informative on Pangani, rafiki. I am Thai. I went to Tanzania many times during past few years. This reminds me of my time there. Nice time, nice people and nice country.
It's very Interesting story of this historical town one of the most vibrant commercial city centre in the east African coast. The Kiswahili which is spoken in pangani is the most beautiful variety in Tanzania. This is one of the earliest civillized town in Tanzania. Though neglected, pangani still carries a very important history in African civilization in all spheres mainly kiswahili language, Islamic religion trade and commerce. Bravo Mr Imani for this Coverage, however you could also visit the other side of pangani, Bweni, so that you could learn muchof the hidden history of this coastal town of tanzania the first one to be written in an ancient map as Rhapta. The grandson of mwanabweni, I submit.
Thank you Wemba this is beautiful very informative. Very good history education I am from Tanga but never get a chance to visit Pangani, now is in my backet list Inshallah.
Beautiful waterfront view .These people have the ability to keep very old buildings can you imagine if these buildings were heavy industry machineries !!!!!!!
Watching this again. Very informative and deep history. Great guide. Thanks once again, Imani. I particularly love the Tanga region series because I once lived and worked (briefly) in Tanga, even though I did not see much of the area then. Asante saana.
Mr Imani you have really presented a beautiful Vlog. It seems this small town has a lot of history Am I right that Kiswahili sounds a little bit like Arabic. Kiswahili is very sweet to listen. It is one of the sweetest language in world especially KISWAHILI spoken on the coast and also Zanzibar. You say that the people of Pangani were Kiguwa. I though they were Wazaramu and Sharazi. Mmay be I am wrong.
Thank you for you comment Mr Khan. Kiswahili has alot of loan words from the Arabic language especially the Omani Dialect. Nevertheless the foundation and grammatical structure of the language is Bantu. According to the guide the Ziguwa were the first people the Arabs meet when they first arrived in Pangani. Whether or not there were other tribal communities before them is up for further discussion.
Mr Imani, Thank you for such a wounderful narration of historical fact on Pangani. P,ease give us some idea on the Sherazi people who arrived on the East Coast of Tanzania . Are there any Sherazi people present now and do they speak Kiswahili .
Kidogo Mr Historian amekosea.
Hi brother thanks for your content I’m planning to visit pangani I like this guy give me a tour how can we contact him interesting town I have some conation.
Very informative video, thank you for this information. Can you respond with the name and contact of your guide in this video, as I would like to take a tour. Thank you in advance.
Kindly do the Tanga again with a better guide. The library you visited should be able to offer you one. That particular library is very important in Tanzanian culture. There is where the great east African poet worked those days late 1940s early 50s Shaban Robert. A secondary school and a street in Dar Es Salaam is named after him. Ask about the historic fire outbreak of the late sixties that was thought to be of superstitious origin. That's just a tip of an iceberg. Get to Mkonge Hotel Raskazoni you will get a good English speaking guide. Make sure you get up to usambara mountains that is Lushoto town and Amani forest amboni caves. Walk again the Ngamiani CBD let one walk you street number one to 22 each has its own history. One the best hotel, rival football club houses the market and the bus station and other tourist attractions. You'll love it. Well done young man
Hey Weber.Iam your follow and l like your video. There is something that l would like to ask f you. This man (you tour guide )is wearing a very old and worn out Tshirt ! How about paying him some money to buy himself some clothes? You can't walk around with one looking like that.By the way the is doing a good job.
Veery few people walio bahatika walisema na Wa jerumani. Walipo Kuja wa British atleast some people walikua wame wahi kusoma.
Very nice history lesson and sad also. I heard Arabs castrated the men and boys. I wonder if you see any classism in your travels? I wonder why we embrace the religion of our oppressors without question?
Indians ND Chinese didn t marry blacks but had secret affairs ND secret baby's, this happened throughout Africa ND is still happening although now adays some are openly marrying.
Totally misrepresented the historical facts of Pangani with regards to Arabs. The guy should have without explained his story in a balanced manner so as to be fair to the history. Probably, more educated person without prejudice would have made a difference.

Historical town in East Africa and TZ in general
very true. thanks for watching.
Next time start your history with Zigua people and their kings (before Arabs) and not when the arabs came. We should embrace our African history.
The tree in swahili we call it mwarbaini
That trade between arabs with the people there was not fair. Africans gave more valuable products

Thanks for the insightful commentary, more content on tanga on the way.
I am a little intrigued as whether the original inhabitants of Pangani were the Shomvi people of Daressalaam who were mainly fishermen..
I am also intrigued to know this. According to the guide the Ziguwa were the tribal community the Arabs meet when they arrived in Pangani.
Hopefully if ur allow that man to explain to you by swahili language he could be comfortable to tell u exactly what u want to hear.....
But the guider ohh😏

Just to correct some information the arabs were only from Sultanate of Oman and Yemen. Saudi arabia was not existing at that time.
Thanks for sharing. What was the region called Saudi Arabia today, known as in that time?
Wa jerumani walikua waki soma wao tu, ma locals walikua hawasomi na ndio maana ma locals hawaku jua ki jerumani. Veery few people walio bahatika walisema na Wa jerumani. Walipo Kuja wa British atleast some people walikua wame wahi kusoma.

Good Question! in many cases ignorance is bliss for the majority.
P
Indians ND Chinese didn t marry blacks but had secret affairs ND secret baby's, this happened throughout Africa ND is still happening although now adays some are openly marrying.
This is false
So sad what happened to Arab slave trade
Very sad indeed
Totally misrepresented the historical facts of Pangani with regards to Arabs. The guy should have without explained his story in a balanced manner so as to be fair to the history. Probably, more educated person without prejudice would have made a difference.
Really? Can you explain where he misrepresented the historical facts?
THIS PERSON HE DONOT KNOW THE HISTORY.
Why do you say that?
Tour guide he a big liar he dont know any history
Very true!
….he mis represented historical facts on Pangani.
