Here is a Clip of the conversation we had with the legend Shri. Anupam Sinha in National Book Fair 2023, discussing about Indian Comic books....
We got a chance to get his views on the present Comic book publications scenario.
Anupam Sinha is an Indian comic book artist and writer, credited as the creator of the Raj Comics superhero Super Commando Dhruva.
Starting his career in 1975 at the age of 13 for a small magazine called Deewana Tej at Kanpur, Sinha got his “big break” four years later, when he joined Diamond Comics. While working on popular comics such as Tauji aur Jadoo Ka Danda, Tauji aur Jadugar Sambha, Lalchi Jadugar and Atyachari Ka Atank. Sinha also attended Kanpur’s Christchurch College. He worked with Diamond Comics creating Fauladi Singh comics Fauladi Singh Aur Shaitan Tarwill, Fauladi Singh Ki Tarwill se Takkar and Fauladi Singh aur Vinash Ke Pujari.

Being crazy for Raj Comics and going to book store to catch new addition is still one of the best memories
There are some other factors too. In 90s comics was the best way of entertainment given the value and accessibility. Today we don't have much time given the quantity and types of entertainment. The hindi comics has competition with english comics, manga, fantasy movies, web series. So it is nearly impossible to beat all such giants entertainment in a cost effective way. Only the die hard comics fan stick due to nostalgia or natural liking, but difficult to impress mass.

Most of the comics of that era were one shot and the frequency of publishing new comics were the main reason. Story and artwork rarely mattered those days. Bus comics aani chahiye thi.
Time ke sath sath sab Badal jata hai bhai aur apni kahani aur apni artwork mein bhi sudhar Lana pata hai lekin Anupam Sinha legendary aate se ismein koi shak nahin kat work achcha hai bahut
I feel we should move with the times and expand the comics characters into films , video games , OTT .
This will also generate revenue for the creators - the publishers , writers , artists because financial insecurity was and is still an important issue for the people involved in the comics industry .
Also it will help to reach out to audiences who haven't heard about these characters .
Best example is Marvel . How many people knew about Guardians of the Galaxy characters before the movies ?

सर ने बिल्कुल सही कहा है आजकल तो बस लूट मची है और कहानी #ट भर की होती है और कॉमिक खत्म हो जाती है।
200 रु में कुछ मालूम नही पड़ता कि क्या पढा क्या नही इससे बढ़िया OTT का सब्सक्रिप्शन ले लेगा इंसान आजकल कहानियों का अकाल पड़ा है कोई ऐसी कहानी बता दो किसी कॉमिक की जो लास्ट 5 साल में आपने पढ़ी हो और आपको आज भी पढ़ने पर मजबूर करती हो मैं लिखकर देता हूं ऐसी कोई कॉमिक शायद ही आयी हो जिसे पढ़कर लगा हो कि यह कहानी मैं बार बार पढ़ सकता हु।
Bhai , please inform why Raj comics used to have AHW Tiger Series on the back cover upper corner .

Ekdum sahi kaha sir ne tabhi woh legendry hain...comics world mein abhi jo kukurmutto ki tarah companies nikal rahi hai unme se adhe sirf movies etc. propose ke liye hi hain...agar 90s ki tarah yaha comics movies etc agar nahi hoti toh yeh pubs bhi nahi aa pati
