    You should do a video of the front lokka, why you changing it over, what went wrong, would you recommend it, is it worth the bucks? Cheers brother

    I did my 80 series in this stuff, like driving a new car its so quiet. Worst part now is I can hear the wife and kids...lol.. Keep it up champ... Would really like to know more on the lokka and how it failed. I like you have about 50 mods that I can do however just don't have the time.

    Great video Adam. I think you should tackle the front locker, experience is what you get right after you need it. Keep up the good work. Cheers from Tennessee, USA. 👍

    The right hand wheel well is shaped like that for the 2nd tank filler. I'm doing the same thing, but with a rusty car. Big job!

    Theres only one way to learn thats by taking it apart and putting it back together again,, that way 2 things happen , 1 you learn how to do it and 2 you will be better at it next time ,, so dont be afraid and if there is anyone doing the old " i told ya so" they can get stuffed good on ya for giving it a go !!

    if you sleep in the back. or even if not.
    recommend getting some cheap windscreen reflectors and chopping them up to cover the rear side windows. helps with heat but also helps you sleep past sunrise.
    also make use of the space in the side panels. dont just cover with wood. make cabinets/shelves to store bits and pieces like spare parts and oils etc.
    hopefully the ban on having fun doesnt last to long and we can all get back out there.

    could make some cup holders or armrests that sit on your window sill. or some inbuilt storage into your rear doors. gas bonnet struts?

    Hey mate the difference in the wheel wells is in all troopys. I believe it is to do with the filler for the rear tank.

    Those dints in the wheel arches come factory in all troopys dunno why but they all have it 🤪

    You shud maybe look into perspex for the panel in back as you can still router them and won't expand if they get wet last forever just a thought

  • @fireball570
    @fireball570 4 роки тому

    Use plywood for the side panels. Maybe stuff your spare parts in the dead space behind them? Use either 4 or 7 mm. 3mm will be too flexi. Install it with rivnuts, that way you can screw them on and off easily, not self tappers. Ply will last longer than MDF and not swell with moisture. Same with if you build units in it if your going to use wood. Ply not mdf. Then either cover it in a thin carpet/ or leave it and polyurethane it. Plywood is lighter than MDF also, which probably is a good thing. Worked a treat on my GQ. Also did sound deadening and plan to do stage 2. Huge difference. You'll be impressed when you do the doors.

    Why’d your locker break? Brand related or? The one I got was from America and has stronger pins then the Aussie “lokka” brand. It’s been good to me

  • @derykzegveld7172
    @derykzegveld7172 4 роки тому +5

    Don't get mdf, get marine ply. If you flood the troopy even a little bit they will swell up so much

    • @shanenorwell8580
      @shanenorwell8580 4 роки тому

      Native and mdf is about 2.5 times the weight too.

    Every troopy has the dint thingy in the wheel arch, I think its because of where the fuel hoses go into the tank. Also please make a video about the lokka

    def do the whole roof, makes a massive difference. also, dont use mdf for the panels, get some 3mm plywood and carpet it. will last much longer than mdf and can take a bit of punishment.

    The wheel arch situation is your fuel filler neck is on the drivers side and is behind that littlte bit

  • @garryboyd7092
    @garryboyd7092 4 роки тому

    Wheel arch difference would be due to fuel filler point!
