i do miss the old avril.. i think her old songs are more real and reflection of everyday life but i like the new avril too. her voice is improved, her attitude is better, and more beautiful. i love avril and she'll always be my number 1 idol.

But yet back in 2002 they were the ones who spun this CD over and over again just like I did. I remember one person said to me: "Every single song on this album is good, that's so rare". And then five years later they claim they never liked the album. I think most people aren't into it for the music any more. Anything but Ordinary and Complicated are amazing.

@RecklessHole her newest album isnt commercial at all. Her last album was very commercial. I love Goodbye Lullaby, all of the songs have a serious meaning to them.

@Mitsiooh i think what was really awesome about her performances back then was that they weren't perfect - they were human. she was just your ordinary girl who came out and sang from her heart about everything that bothered her. that was the beauty of it.

@neversawblue her first tour sounded pretty bad because if you all of a sudden started singing every single night for at least an hour, it definitely gets to your voice. her voice got more used to it and her second and third tours were much better. you should check some of those out! she has an AMAZING voice live. [:
Yeah she was always pop. But let me tell you, she made some of the best pop songs i've ever heard. Maybe she's not on the same level as the Beatles, but she is (was :( ... ) far better than the shit in the top10 charts right now. It's a shame that nowadays pop music equals crap music.

XD shes completely different. im definately not a fan of "the best damn thing" but i still love her :)
