    Congrats!
    Hoping to save enough money to get one.
    You should wrap the chrome piece in the front, makes it look like a retainer.

      Thanks Armani! :) Honestly, I was thinking about swapping in a Z06 grill once I save up some money, I'm not a big fan of the chrome either.

    Just learned a lot from you on another video of yours setting up the display. Yours were better than anyone elses out there, and I appreciate it! I bought a '14 Cyber Grey Stingray with darker grey interior yesterday (with only 6,000 miles on the Odo, which I find crazy - drive these cars, for pete's sake), and it has chrome wheels and I gotta admit Hugh Janis is right on this one. Don't like em, but that's all I don't like about this car. Well, that and the rear lid button which I keep hitting with my knee. As one of the old guys Hugh talks about, getting in and out of this isn't all that easy for me, though I've been a Porsche guy for over a decade (x3 Porsches) and those aren't all that easy to exit and enter, either. I had no intention of buying this; I'd bought a 981 Boxster S just 6 months ago, but then my brother (older than me and a motorcycle nutcase) and I took this for a test drive. Man, what fun! Keep up the videos, and you should get to 1,000 in no time and then beyond. Again, thanks for your videos.

      Hi there Marc, I appreciate the kind words, I'm glad my videos are helping people! :) Haha, I've always been called an older spirit, so maybe that's why I gravitated towards this beauty! Congrats on your new Vette, I think you'll enjoy it, they're a total blast (as I'm sure you've already found out), but I'd love to know what you think compared to your Boxster considering the mid- vs. front engine layouts. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions on your new toy!

      @@1Brain4Wheels Comparing the 981 S Boxster with the Vette is something I've been trying to do since I bought the Vette.. I could write paragraphs, but most concisely, the Porsche was so incredibly good at handling back country roads (with 315 HP, remember) as to be almost too clinical, while the C7 is like a carnival ride - or at least potentially a carnival ride depending on how much I get on it - each and every time I get in it. And surprisingly excellent handling, though I have to be more consistently present because of the torque and that front engine. Both lots of fun, the Vette - stupid fun!

      @@saegaema That seems to be the response that most other people I've talked to and car journalists I've watched have had as well in regard to the C7, it allows you to really toss it around, but you never feel like it's too out of hand... only a couple of times has my heart skipped a beat or two! ;) It's hard to find a car that's able to tow that balance between being stupid fun and turning into one's coffin haha

    you know the dude who spec'd that car was probably 85 or older. Machined wheels....check............grandpa grey interior check. I guess its good though no kalahari because then it would be the ultimate old man spec. Need some old school videos of you ripping it though.

      Hugh Janis haha, you nailed it on the head except that the previously owner was a woman... a old guy would’ve gotten chrome rims 😂 Lol, I’m thankful they passed on the baby shit brown interior, those only look good on red Ferrari’s

    Dont PDR come on al 2lts, and 3 lt is just cosmetics?

    • @1Brain4Wheels
      @1Brain4Wheels  5 років тому

      Good question, I actually had to look this one up and apparently the 3LT come standard with navigation and the PDR, but the 2LT (and maybe the 1LT? If it is available, it doesn’t seem like many people get that on that trim) only gets the PDR as an option, and you must have the navigation as well.

    Congrats on your 2nd Corvette. I am on my second C -7 and my 9th in total. My 2017 GS is a totally different car than my 2016 Stingray and I love it. The worst thing about owning a Corvette in Southern California is finding a dealer that will service it. Did the Lambo doors on your last one have anything to do with you changing cars?

    • @1Brain4Wheels
      @1Brain4Wheels  5 років тому +1

      Thanks Brian, yeah for me the Z51 with mag ride feels like a totally different car than my Stingray! Haha, I feel you on the service issue too, luckily I found a good dealer in Concord that has treated me well :) I wouldn’t say the Lambo doors by themselves pushed me to trade in ‘ol Vette Blue, but it sure didn’t help! I had gotten those removed some time ago, but between the minor damage caused by that and just general wear on the vehicle and the harsh auto transmission shifting, I thought it would be a good time for a change. Also, I really wanted some of the luxury features of a 2LT+ that I couldn’t afford when new. I do miss that car though, she was a looker!

      The 2016 Corvette Stingray I had was Laguna blue like your last one. The 2017 Grand Sport I have now has the wide body which make the handling awesome but being a Grand Sport my insurance went up 100%. Needless to say I took my insurance to the Corvette Museum for the good ole price.

    • @1Brain4Wheels
      @1Brain4Wheels  5 років тому

      Nice, I love the look of the wide body, definitely makes a bigger difference than people would think... maybe on my next one haha 😉 I looked into getting my insurance through NCM, but I drive mine too much!
