This is pure Gold 🪙 Imagine the passion of Bhanu Da who learned playing guitar from a book! Today, people have access to countless guides but what's missing is genuine passion! With musical gems like Bhanu da, no wonder Pancham could create fantastic music that, we music lovers can't live without! Miss you Bhanu Da...miss you Pancham! But happy that their music will remain with us forever! ❤
This is such a cool interview. Someone mastering an instrument in such a short span of time with practically no resources while we as a generation have been spoiled with shitload of resources available at a click and still can't play nothing. Hats off to you Bhanu Da!
I think when a close knit orchestral group has been formed by a music legend like R.D.Burman, people don't mistake whether a particular tune has come from him alone or through improvisation of a tune originally conceived by one from his group. For that matter Shankar-Jaikishen also never disclosed who composed a particular tune. It is a mutual give and take situation where like minded people enjoy composing. Now that RDB is not here, Bhanu Da is disclosing some of the inner secrets of RD's working and moreover he has clearly said that RD used to give credit to a tune where it is due. So ultimately it is the team work that we have to appreciate and enjoy I think.
so basically RD Burman was not a composer??????? so all hit tunes were composed by this Mr and even the Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai??????? so R D Burman was nothing in front of this Chap?????
RD Burman was an excellent composer himself. He is a school of film music. All music directors have ghost composers under them. RD was humble enough to acknowledge contributions from his team. RD was not one person, he was a team.
RD Burman was struggling to make a tune?????????????????????and this Mr made the tune Chanda O Chanda........why he is saying it now???? why didn't he say when RD Burman was alive????? ...this so called guitarist is a liar.
I don't know about other songs but aise na mujhe tum dekho was composed by him..atleast the introduction.. this was said by amit kumar in a programme.. which is also available on UA-cam.. Rd had called him early in the morning asking him(amit) to bring mozart 40 symphony lp.. he wanted to use the beginning part of 40 symphony.. but that was already used by Salil chowdhury 10 years back in - itna na mukho tu pyar na kar.. Rd was struggling to make the tune.. all of a sudden bhanu da started playing the introduction music of aise na mujhe tum dekho!!

RD was disappointed that the tune was already used by Salilda. However, he still wanted to make something out of that song. So was born the tune of Aise na mujhe tum. Bhanuda indeed made the intro. I have had the fortune of meeting him on few occasions. He mentioned that he prefered to give his tunes to Pancham than other music directors as Pancham used them better than anyone.

This is one of the rare documentary. Some times it is better to disable the comment box so that unworthy persons won't comment.
