@Scooter Street Have you tried the Polini CP/CP Evolution carburetor? What is your opinion of it, would it be an upgrade compared to a stock 17.5mm DellOrto of the same size?

@@scooterstreetau Yes, an upgrade to the carb/fuel supply system is long needed. I'm surprised the market for retrofitting old scooters with newer carb technology or EFI systems hasn't been exploited more (like there is for the GY6 for example, an EFI kit where you can adjust the fuel delivery at every 500rpm). There must be hundreds of thousands of Piaggio 2T motors running in Europe and elsewhere, constituting a potential market.
It's been about 18 years since the Ditech motor came out, which I think failed because of lack of information on how to tune and repair it at the time, which I think would be much easier today with youtube and such. But it had significantly lower fuel consumption, much less smog and smell due to significantly lower oil usage, yet great tuneability if you added a fuel pressure regulator to it (imagine what an adjustable ECU/EFI could do). I know that newer 2T engines have some electronic carb control, but I don't know anything about it, like how much more efficient it is.
There is the smartcarb/lectron alternative, but they are extremely expensive (4-500usd) and only make 25mm and up.
Would be great if the Polini CP / CP evolution at least made a noticeable upgrade from the old DellOrto carbs, but there is suprisingly no depth reviews that i can find.

We recently fitted a Tecnigas Triops to an SR50R 2016. The response and performance really is amazing, the water cooled engine unleashed it power from the little piston. We need a sports exhaust with touring sound, ie. a huge, silent muffler utilising the newest technology. Why is nobody making this? Would sell like hot cakes.
Yasuni R is great, but unchanged for like 15-20 years since it came out. Wish they would do an update using the newest technology - super silent and improved corrosion-resistance (coating and/or stainless steel version) plus an even sleeker style option etc.

HI Theo2, I have no idea what other upgrades you have on the Scooter so I can only address the information given. Firstly the rollers are too light, I would recommend move the weight up to 6.5 gram and then reducing the weight if necessary. Do the pen mark for belt topping position.
