Awesome video! Loved seeing Spirit's old livery "Catch the spirit of Spirit Airlines" and ATA's "Your on vacation" and Runway liveries. US Airways Red White and Black livery as well! All that's missing is Southwest XD Thanks so much for posting this!
Super, i went to Orlando from the UK in 1989 as an aeroplane geek at 10 years old and was fascinated seeing all the US carriers and former aircraft liveries and types. TWA, Delta, American, Pan Am, Continental and US Air…so cool
I was so glad when they opened this airport. I lived along the flight path for Page Field. While it was rather comforting to hear the planes overhead, they were just too big for that little airport. Good to know it's still there in case of an emergency landing.
Tina Chandler , i remember page field. My father worked their with Republic Airlines (Herman the duck) until they opened up Southwest Regional ( now international old terminal). I believe it opened in '85 or so. My father drove out on the airfield in the family station to be the follow me vehicle for the first republic airlines Dc-9 flight to arrive.
DAL Express = Memories of growing up, ComAIR = Same, and GAH!! 727 !!! HOLY!!! L-100!!!!!!!!! TEARS!!! That 767, i can actually tell you, a handful of times..... i have sat on those planes on the LAST FLIGHT OUT. myself, my brother, my mom, and father. we each had our own FA, as it is 4 of them, and 4 of us !!!!! LMAO!!
Great video! A nice, heavy dose of JT8D's going full blast is just what I needed...thanks!
